Disambiguation link notification for December 7
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited 2017 Gold Coast Titans season, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Max King (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Your edit here kind of highlighted a knowledge gap I have with regards to sources being used in more than one place. I appreciate it, and will learn to copy that shortform in the future, unless there's some sort of tool that does that. - Jack Sebastian (talk) 18:11, 28 December 2017 (UTC)
- @Jack Sebastian: No worries. It definitely saves time when there's a whole heap of them on the one page. I haven't seen a tool to do that. Nat965 (talk) 19:28, 28 December 2017 (UTC)

Thanks for spotting the orphan status of the article, The Doris Day Show (radio program). I don't know why I overlooked that problem when I created the article, but I appreciate your noticing it. I have now added some links to it. Eddie Blick (talk) 15:26, 6 January 2018 (UTC)

Thank you for your work on Australian content!
Amazing, there is another person who can multiply by 2 and update the progress bar on Wikipedia:WikiProject Australia/The 5000 Challenge! I never thought I'd live to see it! Keep on ka-ching-ing! :-)

- @Kerry Raymond: I know right, shock horror! Thanks a bunch :)
- hi Nat965, Kerry Raymond, as someone who can multiply by 2:)) but is quite computer illiterate ie. gave up trying to "get on" 100 articles in 100 days (did it (sortof:)anyway:)) lots of thanks from me as well.Coolabahapple (talk) 07:29, 11 January 2018 (UTC)
- @Coolabahapple: @Kerry Raymond: Hey thanks! :) I'm definitely one person to do Gnom-ey edits. Probably the reason I joined was when I saw this -
around 65 articles from mainly Wikipedia:WikiProject Northern Territory cleanup list, mostly fixed reference issues (now under 20%, yaayy!:)): Coolabahapple.
Then I thought hey, I can do something! Because I don't tend to create new or expand articles all too much. Thanks again :) Nat965 (talk) 08:15, 12 January 2018 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Grove Street Pensioners' Cottages
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Grove Street Pensioners' Cottages requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://environment.ehp.qld.gov.au/heritage-register/detail/?id=602832. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. CAPTAIN RAJU(T) 12:47, 21 January 2018 (UTC)
- Obviously I cannot see what was deleted but I am guessing what you didn't realise you needed to do was the acknowledgement of the CC source. But there is no need to write any Qld Heritage Register article. If you want one, just ask me. I have all of them in draft and I keep rolling them out as I have the time (just a bit busy with the 1Lib1Ref campaign for the next couple of weeks). Anyhow I rolled out the Grove Street Cottages article for your enjoyment. I will add the photos when I have a moment. Kerry (talk) 15:54, 21 January 2018 (UTC)
- Please stop posting copyright material. The text you copied is clearly marked © The State of Queensland 1995–2017. Copyrighted text is not allowed in Wikipedia, as outlined in this policy. That applies even to pages created by you or your organisation, unless they state clearly and explicitly that the text is public domain. We require that text posted here can be used, modified and distributed for any purpose, including commercial, but there is no indication that the copied site allows free use. There are ways to donate copyrighted text to Wikipedia, as described here; please note that simply asserting on the talk page that you are the owner of the copyright, or you have permission to use the text, isn't sufficient. But in any case the copyrighted text is far too promotional to be useful for Wikipedia's purposes, so there would not be any point in your jumping through all the hoops that are required. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 07:49, 22 January 2018 (UTC)
- OK, I saw the link to the copyright disclaimer, looks as if this is OK, so I've restored. Might be an idea to put the copyright disclaimer info on the article talk page to avoid non-Aussies like me swinging the axe again Jimfbleak - talk to me? 07:54, 22 January 2018 (UTC)

Great work on the mobile libraries! It's been on my to-do list for some time but got bumped up the list by 1Lib1Ref, so I was thrilled to discover you had done so many of them! Thanks! Kerry (talk) 14:17, 30 January 2018 (UTC) |
remove external link in reference
Regarding https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Concordia%2C_Kansas&type=revision&diff=823619209&oldid=820461024 I notice the link still works, but why is http:// removed? Thank you... Smarkflea (talk) 13:41, 2 February 2018 (UTC)
- @Smarkflea: Ahh, thank you for alerting me to it. You see, the website parameter should be url that contains the http:// link, nothing else. Mentioned in Help:CS1_errors#param_has_ext_link, it says:
- This error occurs when any of the CS1 or CS2 citation title-holding parameters – |title=, |chapter=, |publisher=, |work= or any of its aliases: |journal=, |magazine=, |newspaper=, |periodical= and |website= – hold an external link (URL). External links in these parameters corrupt the citation's metadata and can be the source of a variety of other error messages.
- To resolve this error, remove the external link from the identified parameter. Consider placing the external link in a more appropriate parameter:
- for |chapter=, the URL may belong in |chapter-url=.
- for other parameters, it may belong in |url=.
- I usually go back and recheck most pages to see if an error or confusion like that occurs and change the website parameter to url, but in this case, I forgot. I hope that makes sense? Nat965 (talk) 18:21, 2 February 2018 (UTC)

February 2018
Hello. Your recent edit to May 5 appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person, organization or product added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. Thank you. General Ization Talk 20:56, 16 February 2018 (UTC)
Please do not add or change content, as you did at Redford High School, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. John from Idegon (talk) 23:04, 16 February 2018 (UTC)
See also
Hi, you've added "see also" link to several Pakistani BLPs, but I don't get the logic behind it. Category:Balochistan MPAs 2013–18 has been already added to pages so it serves the purpose. --Saqib (talk) 07:57, 18 February 2018 (UTC)
- On the other hand, if an MP has been elected several times, adding see also links to several lists make the article looks nasty. --Saqib (talk) 08:00, 18 February 2018 (UTC)

Stubs for towns/sububs/localities
Re: Andromache. If you ever want a stub for a town/suburb/locality in Qld, just tell which one and I'll set it up. I have all of them in draft on my hard drive. It's just a question of someone wanting them because they have something more to say beyond the basic stub I have. I generated them from a bunch of open data published by the Queensland Government. It's literally only a couple of clicks for me to do it. Kerry (talk) 23:39, 21 April 2018 (UTC)

Introduction of factual inaccuracies in Wisconsin
Hello, I'm 32.218.36.29. Your recent edit to the page Wisconsin appears to have added incorrect information, so it has been removed for now. If you believe the information was correct, please cite a reliable source or discuss your change on the article's talk page. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. 32.218.36.29 (talk) 02:10, 4 May 2018 (UTC)
recipients of OAM
hello Nat965, i was reading on the OAM as my grandfather, the Honorary photographer Henry Gold OAM, and when i went to the recipients of OAM page his name was not there. i personally went to his ceremony and have photographic evidence of him and i standing together with his medal. i didn't know how to contact anyone from the page so thought i would try this.
as you can see from this link you won't see Henry Gold when it should be there.

Invitation to participate in study
Hello,
I am E. Whittaker, I am working with Wikimedia’s Scoring Team to create a labeled dataset, and potentially a tool, to help editors deal with incivility when they encounter it on talk pages. A full write-up of the study can be found here: m:Research:Civil_Behavior_Interviews. We are currently recruiting editors to be interviewed about their experiences with incivility on talk pages. Would you be interested in being interviewed? I am contacting you because of your involvement in Wikipedia’s Women in Red project. The interviews should take ~1 hour, and will be conducted over BlueJeans (which does allow interviews to be recorded). If, so, please email me at ewhit@umich.edu in order to schedule an interview.

Adding defaultsort templates to biographies
Hey, thanks for all the sports bios you've created. Do remember to add the Template:DEFAULTSORT to any biographies you create so that the subjects are sorted by their surnames instead of their first names in categories. You can refer to this edit if you are unsure of how to add the template. Bennv3771 (talk) 08:02, 3 September 2018 (UTC)
- I've added the defaulsort template to a few bios you've created, but it'll be really helpful if you could go back and add them to all the remaining bios. Bennv3771 (talk) 08:08, 3 September 2018 (UTC)
Melbourne City match
Hi Nat965, thank you for contributing to edit on Wikipedia on 2018-19 Melbourne City FC season. Unfortunately your edit was not the time for it.
First off, cards or missed penalties are not included into A-League football boxes only goals. Second, the full-time score must be entered after the full-time whistle. And also, you did not change the colour of the box to the yellow which is draw
- W - Green (Win)
- D - Yellow (Draw)
- L - Red (Loss)
