Mopping up

[edit]

I think I've got all the mess sorted out now. If you go to the Articles for Deletion page for your article, it will tell you what is wrong with your article. You can either post a message there, or leave a message on the talk page of the editor who put it up for deletion. You have about a week. I've just looked at the article, and your references are not what we look for. When assessing the notability of a subject, we do not think blogs or wikis to be reliable independent sources. Even us, too. The Swat Valley ref just says that Khan Roshan Khan translated a book. The News doesn't seem to mention him. The Afghan Photos one doesn't mention Khan. The rest are Google and blogs and wikis. Look at WP:BIO (our policy on biographies) and at WP:RS about reliable independent sources - references. I've sorted out your list - if a * is put at the start of a line, it becomes a separate line in a list. If you need more help, put {{helpme}} with a question at the bottom of this page/ Just copy that with the brackets from here, then open the edit window and paste it. Peridon (talk) 20:55, 12 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Ok,ok you are right but tell me what prove do you need about this person?i am ready and i will give you every proof about this everything which i hve typed, because these all things are with me and you can ask the Pushto Academy about him and his research.i have the books.please if you or your relative visit Pakistan, must come to me i will show you and tell about his masterpiece work which haven't done before this by any one on pushtoon Research and just tell me you reject the references of blogs and wikis so of what things shall i give the references???? :( Nasir swabi (talk) 05:12, 13 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Hello Nasir! Can you please share the title, author, publisher, ISBN of the books you think discuss this individual significantly and are also reliable. If you find it difficult to communicate in English, you are welcome to converse in Pushto. Regards --SMS Talk 18:22, 15 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

hi every one and Smsarmad!i can share the title, author, publisher, but i dont know what is ISBN and the books are in Urdu language not in english and pushto.and are published in pakistan so i dont knw whether these books have isbn or no?please visit these links about books:

ok fine??what prove do you need more about this?Nasir swabi (talk) 10:59, 20 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Actually Nasir, what we need here are the sources which discuss "Khan Roshan Khan" not links to the books he has written/translated. Independent and reliable sources that discuss the subject significantly are required to establish notability here at Wikipedia. You have written in the article that he was widely interviewed, if that is so then there must be links to his interviews or news articles written about him; if you can find such a thing, it will help us to save this article. And if you find it difficult to comprehend English, here is the translation of my message in Urdu:

you are right brother but now whats my fault that in 1980s there was no internet.right?and the madia was also not much expanded as it is nowadays.and yes there was some data when pakistan television came here to his house and interviewed him but i dont know about that data where it is?:( maybe it will be present with ptv but i dont know how to contact them or find that oldest cassette of that time. some data i found visit this and read it full:http://www.3kbioxml.com/3k/index.php/IJESS/article/view/85/26 Nasir swabi (talk) 06:12, 21 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Neither is it Wikipedia's fault and you should not take it personally if you want to improve this project. Wikipedia is governed by some rules and if we don't follow these policies, there will be hoax and unverifiable articles, serving no purpose to anyone. Sorry I don't find any of the sources you added here and to the article useful for establishing the notability of this person. --SMS Talk 09:52, 28 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Language Map of Khyber Pukhtukhwa

[edit]

Hello,I see you are a member of Pashtun projects. If you know about the subject, you should also know that the maps you keep re-instating is completely wrong. As i stated earlier in multiple talk pages, the map is showing majority pashto speaking areas such as Karak District, Shangla District, Battaggram District, Toorghar District and Buner District as Hindko Speaking, while Tank District is being shown as Saraiki Speaking. The map is of a very bad quality and extemely in accurate, so one wonders why was it allowed to be used in the first place. Also if you are a member of Pashtun project you should yourself be aware that the map being used is inaccurate amd should be removed or replaced. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Khan Roshan khan, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Swati language (Pakistan) (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Asian 10,000 Challenge invite

[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 11:21, 20 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. We're into the last five days of the Women in Red World Contest. There's a new bonus prize of $200 worth of books of your choice to win for creating the most new women biographies between 0:00 on the 26th and 23:59 on 30th November. If you've been contributing to the contest, thank you for your support, we've produced over 2000 articles. If you haven't contributed yet, we would appreciate you taking the time to add entries to our articles achievements list by the end of the month. Thank you, and if participating, good luck with the finale!
