Always cite reliable sources

[edit]

Please explain your contributions using a descriptive edit summary. Changing information on Wikipedia (such as numbers and dates) without explanation, as you did at List of equipment of the Bangladesh Army, may be confused with vandalism. Thank you. --Worldbruce (talk) 14:08, 14 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Annh07. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Bangladesh Army, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Annh07 (talk) 10:43, 17 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at List of equipment of the Bangladesh Army, you may be blocked from editing. --Worldbruce (talk) 12:22, 8 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced or poorly sourced material to Wikipedia, as you did at List of equipment of the Bangladesh Army. Self-published website defseca.com has been discussed before at the reliable sources noticeboard, where the unanimous consensus is that it is not reliable. To quote one participant, "I can't imagine any content for which this could be a reliable source. It's somebody's blog ... it has no editorial oversight, no institutional or personal authority – it's just yet another random website of the kind that Wikipedia should never cite". --Worldbruce (talk) 13:23, 9 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Thank you for contributing to the article List of equipment of the Bangladesh Army. However, please do not use unreliable sources such as blogs, wikis, personal websites, and websites and publications with a poor reputation for checking the facts or with no editorial oversight (most websites). These sources may express views that are widely acknowledged as pushing a particular point-of-view, sometimes even extremist, being promotional in nature, or relying heavily on rumors and personal opinions. One of Wikipedia's core policies is that contributions must be verifiable through reliable sources.

Armyrecognition.com is not a reliable source, see the Reliable Source Noticeboard archives 344 and 349. If you require further assistance, please look at Help:Menu/Editing Wikipedia, or ask at the Teahouse. Worldbruce (talk) 14:13, 23 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
