Image copyright problem with Image:Cohort 4.jpg
[edit]Thank you for uploading Image:Cohort 4.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 10:06, 10 February 2008 (UTC)
Duplicate images uploaded
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Gaya's Next Top Student Cohort 4.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:Cohort 4.jpg. The copy called Image:Cohort 4.jpg has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.
This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. Your edits to Gaya's Next Top Student, Cohort 4 and related pages/images
[edit]Please do not create hoaxes, such as you did in the article Gaya's Next Top Student, Cohort 4. Please do not attempt to put misinformation into Wikipedia to test our ability to detect and remove it. This has been done before, with varying results. Most hoaxes are marked for deletion within a few hours after they are created. Some Wikipedians suspect that the majority of hoaxes here are attempts to test the system. Kindly — do not disrupt Wikipedia to illustrate a point. If you are interested in how accurate Wikipedia is, a more constructive test method is to try to find inaccurate statements that are already in Wikipedia, and then to check to see how long they have been in place and, if possible, correct them. Fair use rationale for Image:GNTMcohort3.JPG
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:GNTMcohort3.JPG. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Orphaned non-free media (Image:Akademi fantasia logo.jpg)
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Akademi fantasia logo.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Marsha.jpg
[edit]Please do not indiscriminately upload unrelated images on top of existing images, as you did with Image:Marsha.jpg. The pre-existing image was of a character from a comic strip, and you uploaded a screenshot of an unrelated celebrity webpage without checking the existing links to it, or updating the fair use rationale (which still stated that the image was from a comic). It is unclear why this change was made, as the new image was never added to any articles. The image has been reverted. — Gwalla | Talk 21:44, 23 April 2008 (UTC)

Image copyright problem with Image:Akademi fantasialogo.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Akademi fantasialogo.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's escription page for each article the image is used in.
- That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Fair use rationale for Image:Akademi_fantasialogo.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Akademi_fantasialogo.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
Two issues with this image- firstly, there is no source provided, and secondly, it is too big- album covers should almost always be somewhere between 200x200 and 300x300 pixels. If you could deal with those two issues, that would be great. Thanks. Feel free to contact me if I can be of any help. J Milburn (talk) 18:36, 21 June 2008 (UTC)
Hi. Re your removal of the track listing of the Adam II album, please be aware that under Wikipedia guidelines (see WP:MUSIC), then articles about albums don't automatically meet notability criteria unless you can provide sufficient notability information for that album - e.g. a high chart position etc. - just being by a notable artist does not make them notable. Because of this, I merged the track listing into the artists article (per WP:MUSIC) and changed the album article to a redirect to the singer article - by removing the track listing from the singer's article, you have actually lost the track listing. Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Screenshot Aku Stacy.jpg
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:Screenshot Aku Stacy.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.
If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stifle (talk) 21:20, 3 May 2009 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:Taylor Swift - Back To December.ogg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Taylor Swift - Back To December.ogg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. File copyright problem with File:TopsyTurvy.jpg
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:TopsyTurvy.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 15:53, 4 January 2011 (UTC)

I'm gonna have to scold you for...
[edit]nominating Back to December for GA. per WP:RECENT the subject is too new to be stable. A quick search of the article shows that it is still pending release in the UK (while other dates have yet to be confirmed). The danger is that with additional worldwide releases a lot more new information could appear about the song but there's no way of confirming that editors will respect and continue the current standards of the article and so we could end up with a GA that doesn't deserve to be a GA. In future can you please wait until a song has been fully released and charted? A good indication is when the artist begins to release their next single then you know that the chart run for the current single is likely to stabilise and/or end. -- Lil_℧niquℇ №1 [talk] 13:25, 28 January 2011 (UTC)

License tagging for File:Last Friday Night Official Cover.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Last Friday Night Official Cover.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.
For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 16:05, 5 May 2011 (UTC)

[edit]Yeah, I went and read WP:RECENT before starting the review, but I don't think it necessarily applies in this case. For one, I think the policy is more directed towards controversial news events, and though I was a bit concerned about chart positions changing and whatnot, I think it's mostly already hit its highest positions. It also seems that all the reviews for it are out, so I don't think there'll be a massive change in coverage/charting anytime soon. What do you think? Keilana|Parlez ici 17:55, 31 May 2012 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Adam (album)
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Adam (album) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a musical recording which does not indicate why its subject is important or significant, and where the artist's article has never existed, has been deleted or is eligible for deletion itself. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for music.
If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Armbrust, B.Ed. Hey. I feel so bad. I completely forgot about the review. I don't think there are too many issues with the article, so I'd say just go ahead and try with FA. Let me know and I will leave some comments. Best, Statυs (talk) 01:25, 6 November 2012 (UTC)
Disputed non-free use rationale for File:OST-Ayatayatcinta.jpg
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:OST-Ayatayatcinta.jpg.
Thank you. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 10:38, 24 November 2012 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Request for usurpation
[edit]Hello, My December. A request has been made via Wikipedia:Changing username (or meta:SRUC) to usurp, or "take over", your username because another user would like to use it to edit. The changing username guideline allows a username that is not being actively used to be usurped if the user is given an opportunity to object and does not do so.
If you do not object to being renamed to a new username in order for another user to use the name you currently have, please log in and post a reply here saying so (you may also tell us what username you would like to be renamed to, or we will provide you with a generic one) or use Special:GlobalRenameRequest.
If you do nothing: the request may be filled shortly, and your account will be moved to a generic username. You may request that it be moved to a new username of your choice at any time.
If you object to being renamed: please log in and make an edit to this page clearly stating that you object to usurpation. Any objection on your part will prevent usurpation.
Please note that even if your current username is usurped, you can still edit and your data will not be lost; your preferences, watchlist, and other user settings will be transferred to a new username.
Thank you for your time. Mythecember (talk) 21:12, 30 December 2015 (UTC)

The file File:Maria-mariana-soundtrack.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Non-free album cover being used in a decorative manner in Maria Mariana#Soundtrack. Non-free album cover art is generally allowed to be used for primary identification purposes in stand-alone articles about albums, but its use in other articles is generally only allowed when the cover art itself is the subject of sourced critical commentary as explained in WP:NFC#cite_note-3 and the context for non-free use required by WP:NFCC#8 is evident. There is no such commentary for this particular album cover anywhere in the article, and the use of soundtrack album cover art in articles about films or TV programs is generally not allowed for this reason as explained in WP:FILMSCORE.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.
Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. -- Marchjuly (talk) 05:09, 26 March 2019 (UTC)
