Regarding edits for Wilfred
And that's my point, you didn't see the episode, you just saw a few key words in my edit and "assumed" it was vandalism, but it's not, my edit was clarifying what the episode was actually about, so please reverse and add my edit back to the page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.172.193.217 (talk) 11:58, 5 August 2011 (UTC)
August 2011
I noticed the message you recently left on User talk:Bookshopinindia. Please remember: do not bite the newcomers. If you see someone make a common mistake, try to politely point out what they did wrong and how to correct it. Thank you. We appreciate your work here on Wikipedia! However, I just wanted to comment on something. You went right to Level 4 for the first time removal of a CSD tag. While the user is clearly a promotional only account, the rules of civility still apply. Thanks for all your hard work; keep it up!!! jsfouche ☽☾Talk 07:45, 7 August 2011 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification
Hi. When you recently edited Tirukkurakaval, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Kashi (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Rosemary Altea
Rather than a knee-jerk revrsion, I would suggest that you look at the previous edits to Rosemary Altea more closely. The user Samaltea made considerable changes to put the subject in a better light, and to minimise past criticism of them. As per my edit summary, "Samaltea" seems related to the subject's daughter - i.e. Samantha Altea - so there is a clear conflict of interest there. 86.6.239.220 (talk) 14:49, 7 February 2012 (UTC)

I've declined your speedy as it's not very short and does show some sort of context. I've prodded it instead, as it's too coherent for nonsense and doesn't seem to be advertising. Peridon (talk) 16:15, 8 February 2012 (UTC)
- Yeah ok. I accept your decision, the name of the article may have mislead me. I'll have a better look whilst tagging such template next time. Shriram (talk) 16:19, 8 February 2012 (UTC)
question re undoing my edits
Dear Shriram. I wanted to enquire about why my edits the the Gunvor page were reverted/undone? The particular edits I was making are all factual and carefully referenced to legitimate media sources. A lot of the current information on the Gunvor Wikipedia page is either misleading, out of date or missing, including the current HQ, which is in Cyprus and not Geneva. I would really appreciate your feedback as to why you felt my editing should be subject to being undone, and i would appreciate your approval to continue to correctly update the company's information. thank you in advance. Msv2012 (talk) 16:46, 8 February 2012 (UTC)
- Have a look at this for yourself. You removed some referenced contents.
response to message
Dear Shriram, With regards to your response to my email below - I find it interesting that you say I removed some referenced material, when you removed ALL of my referenced material. I would like to make it very clear, the material I removed was out of date and was negated by the referenced and updated content I added. Some of the information you revered back to is simply incorrect, including as I stated, the HQ (Cyprus NOT Geneva), the ownership, main trading offices (4 NOT 2). Other infor is simply missing - new assets for example (coal), etc. I would appreciate a proper explanation as to why I am being kept from adding factual and referenced materials, which is done with a view to ensuring the information on the company is up to date. Isnt this the whole point of Wikipedia?

MOTDs (This space for rent)
You may have noticed over the past few days that the MOTD that you link to on your user page has simply displayed a red link. This is due to the fact that not enough people are reviewing pending MOTDs here. Please help us keep the MOTD template alive and simply go and review a few of the MOTDs in the list. That way we can have a real MOTD in the future rather than re-using (This space for rent). Any help would be appreciated! –pjoef (talk • contribs) 13:11, 7 March 2012 (UTC)

March 2012 MOTD's award for helping the project in a difficult time
The MOTD Barnstar | ||
The MOTD Barnstar is awarded to Shriram for his invaluable contribution to our project, which was experiencing a period of extreme scarcity. Thank you from Motto of the day. –pjoef (talk • contribs) 10:58, 13 March 2012 (UTC) |
Additional note: Hoping that you feel comfortable with us, we hope and desire that you will want to continue contributing to our/your project. I personally think that if many of us contribute, then about ten minutes per week, by reviewing the existing nominations, and eventually adding new nominations, should be more than enough to get the project going! Once again, thank you from your Motto of the day. –pjoef (talk • contribs) 10:58, 13 March 2012 (UTC)
- Thank you pjoef. I'll surely help the project.

Speedy deletion declined: Kristian Oma Rønnes
Hello Shriram. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Kristian Oma Rønnes, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: The article makes a credible assertion of importance or significance, sufficient to pass A7. Thank you. — Malik Shabazz Talk/Stalk 18:45, 12 April 2012 (UTC)
CSD of Deja Vu iPhone app
Hey, Shriram, I've taken off the A1 tag that you placed on this article and added a G12, since it's a copyright infringement. May I ask why you tagged it with A1? It doesn't fit the description of the A1 criterion. Writ Keeper ⚇♔ 17:38, 23 May 2012 (UTC)
- An article with "The newest and hottest app for iTunes has arrived." doesnt make any sense does it? thats why. Anyhow good work, I didnt find the source of copyright infridgement. Shriram (talk) 17:43, 23 May 2012 (UTC)
- Well, A1 isn't just about it not making sense, it's about the article so little description that you can't tell what it's actually about. It's pretty clear that the article is about an iPhone app called "Deja Vu", so it doesn't qualify for A1. (Also, A1 is only for short articles, and the article is anything but.) You might've meant G1, which is the criterion for "patent nonsense", but that doesn't apply either, since that's for random strings of letters or words that don't form coherent sentences. The sentence "The newest and hottest app for iTunes has arrived.", though obviously spammy, does make sense, so it's not patent nonsense.
- No worries, though, it's an article that will be speedy-deleted one way or another, so no harm done. This is just for future reference. Thanks! Writ Keeper ⚇♔ 17:49, 23 May 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks boss. No harms. Shriram (talk) 17:52, 23 May 2012 (UTC)
