I like how your main focus is on not only what the Vestal Virgins wore, but why they dressed in such a manner and what it represents. This subject matter definitely seems to add to the article, completing it. Delving into explanations of what a flammeum and suffibulum are and how they are different might be beneficial to who is reading the wiki page especially for someone who does not know a lot about the Vestal Virgins. Good job with writing neutrally for the most part but I am not sure this sentence is necessary:

"This juxtaposition between the attire and style worn by Vestal Virgins and brides or matrons is particularly intriguing and thus studied by scholars in numerous instances."

Maybe discuss the fashion in which the Vestal Virgins wore their hair after you are done writing about their clothes.

Lastly, make sure that your last sentence about how the Vestal Virgins are perceived is not an opinion but is how they were perceived by those in ancient Rome.

I really enjoyed reading what you had so far on the Vestal Virgins! I was unaware of what they wore and the underlying meaning of their clothing.

Review: I think you do a great job of describing the attire of the vestal virgins. It is very informative and detailed. I definitely think you can expand on your statements focused on the clothing and attire. You make claims but further commentary might be useful in explaining to the audience these concepts and symbolism. Additionally, I think it might be really interesting to also investigate the House of vestals as well as the Vestal festivals. Those other two sections on the Wikipedia article page seem to be lacking detail and sources. I think it would be a great opportunity to let the audience know about these important aspects of vestal life. Fyoliveira1 (talk) 21:37, 20 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

After looking at the article, I think it is smart that you chose to focus your research on the attire of the the vestal virgins because that section of the article definitely needed to be expanded upon. I think the information you provide about the attire worn by the vestal virgins adds to the understanding of their importance as a whole. I think you could further explain what the stola and vittae are because someone who does not have a strong background in ancient Roman history might not have a good understanding of these elements. I also think the emphasis you offer regarding the brides is useful to understand some of the traditions that potentially arose from the traditions of the vestal virgins. Overall, I think you did a very good job with this section based upon your scholarly research.
