Speedy deletion of Microsoft PDA business strategy
[edit]Thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. As the article namespace is for encyclopedic content and not tests, the page you made will soon be deleted. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. AfD nomination of MS PDA Business Strategy
[edit]I have nominated MS PDA Business Strategy, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/MS PDA Business Strategy. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.
Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. RadioFan (talk) 12:16, 2 April 2009 (UTC)
Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles, or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates. Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. Thank you. TNXMan 02:56, 3 April 2009 (UTC)
What Wikipedia isn't
[edit]I'm sorry if Wikipedia seems unwelcoming, but I'm afraid it is not the right place for what you are trying to do. You want to use a wiki for your group project; Wikipedia is a wiki, but it is a specialised wiki devoted to building an encyclopedia, and does not allow its facilities to be used for other purposes like class projects, unless they are directly related to that aim. It can only remain useful as an encyclopedia by being fairly ruthless about excluding activities in the rather long list of What Wikipedia is not, including Wikipedia is not a webspace provider for other purposes.
You may be able to find the facilities you want at Wikiversity - I am not familiar with that, so I cannot be sure. Alternatively, you may be able to use one of the other public wikis; or it is possible - though not necessarily easy - to run your own wiki, using the free MediaWiki software which can be installed on Linux, Windows or Mac OS X - see here and here.
If your instructor suggested that you use Wikipedia for your project, please ask him to look at the guidelines Wikipedia:School and university projects and User:Jbmurray/Advice which give useful advice based on hard-won experience about how, and how not, to use Wikipedia for educational projects.

Proposed deletion of MS PDA Business Strategy
[edit]A proposed deletion template has been added to the article MS PDA Business Strategy, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:
- original research
All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. [edit]Please do not add original research or novel syntheses of previously published material to our articles as you apparently did to MS PDA Business Strategy. Please cite a reliable source for all of your information. Thank you. Pontificalibus (talk) 20:57, 7 April 2009 (UTC)
Repost of MS PDA business strategy
[edit]A tag has been placed on MS PDA business strategy requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia, because it appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion. If you can indicate how it is different from the previously posted material, place the template {{hangon}} underneath the other template on the article and put a note on the page's discussion page saying why this article should stay. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. If you believe the original discussion was unjustified, please contact the administrator who deleted the page or use deletion review instead of continuing to recreate the page. Thank you.
