Recent edit to Anjem Choudary
[edit]Hello. I noticed that you made an edit to a biography of a living person (Anjem Choudary), but that you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. Wikipedia has a strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! Materialscientist (talk) 12:36, 27 February 2018 (UTC)

[edit]Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. In the future, please use the preview button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made, reduces edit conflicts, and prevents clogging up recent changes and the page history. Below the edit box is a Show preview button. Pressing this will show you what the article will look like without actually saving it.
It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. If you have any questions, contact the help desk for assistance. Thank you. Grayfell (talk) 03:21, 15 March 2018 (UTC)

[edit]Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively, you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant notice boards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continual disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Grayfell (talk) 23:26, 19 June 2018 (UTC) My edits are right as I am changing it back to what it originally was.
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be repeatedly reverting or undoing other editors' contributions at British National Party. Although this may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is known as "edit warring" and is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, as it often creates animosity between editors. Instead of reverting, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.
If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to be blocked from editing Wikipedia. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, and violating the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a block. Thank you. Grayfell (talk) 00:01, 20 June 2018 (UTC)
- Grayfell why are you doing this? I keep reverting it because the version it is at now is what Midnightblueowl decided to edit. It should be at its original version. Mrnobody1997 (talk) 00:28, 20 June 2018 (UTC) Mrnobody1997
- I'm sorry, but that doesn't make any sense to me. There is no "original version". It was originally written by Wikipedia users. Articles change over time, that's part of how Wikipedia works. Wikipedia works by WP:CONSENSUS so many editors can figure out how to improve the article over time. You may want to go over Wikipedia:Introduction, if you haven't yet.
- There is also already a section of the talk page for you to discuss this: Talk:British National Party#Recent reversions by Mrnobody1997. Please discuss the issue there instead of edit warring. Thank you. Grayfell (talk) 00:12, 20 June 2018 (UTC)
- It was fine the way it was until Midnightblueowl decide to edit it into his own version. Why are you siding with Midnightblueowl on this? The version it was before has been there for a long time. That's why i keep reverting it. I don't like that you are having a go at me for reverting it to the version it was before. It's not even my version. I just think the version it was before Midnightblue owl decided to change was good enough. Why are you messaging me and not him? It's not very fair on me. Mrnobody1997 (talk) 00:22, 20 June 2018 (UTC) Mrnobody1997
- Please, before you go any further, read WP:BRD. I think you are confused about how Wikipedia works.
- You say that "Midnightblueowl decided to edit the article" Well, why is that a bad thing? You decided to edit the article too, didn't you? I also decided to edit the article. There's nothing wrong with deciding to edit the article. Articles change over time. You will need to use the article's talk page to explain why you think the old version was better. It is not good enough to say that it was fine before. Wikipedia is a work in progress. That's part of how Wikipedia works. Grayfell (talk) 00:29, 20 June 2018 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, Mrnobody1997. Please do not remove other editors' comments from talk pages as you did here. Per WP:TALKO, removing comments from talk pages is allowed only in a limited number of cases, none of which apply here. FreeKnowledgeCreator (talk) 00:43, 20 June 2018 (UTC)

Edit warring at British National Party
[edit]{{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
. The full report is at the edit warring noticeboard. If you find that there are some Wikipedia policies that you don't understand, please ask an experienced contributor and listen carefully to their advice. Continuing to revert will just get you in more trouble. Thanks, EdJohnston (talk) 16:24, 20 June 2018 (UTC)
- While waiting for your 24-hour block to expire, you might consider taking a look at Wikipedia:Expectations and norms of the Wikipedia community and Wikipedia:Consensus. The first is an infomation page that explains some basics and points to a number of Wikipedia polcies. Wikipedia:Consensus is a policy of Wikipedia. As EdJohnston said, please feel free to ask if you don't understand something, or if you would like another perspective on how something might be accomplished on Wikipedia. Good luck and thank you for your positive contributions to Wikipedia. --Bejnar (talk) 21:09, 20 June 2018 (UTC)

Use of the term "parole"
[edit]Why do you object to the use of the word "parole" in the Anjem Choudary article? You may answer here. --Bejnar (talk) 20:54, 22 June 2018 (UTC)
- You can use it. I'm not gonna keep removing it Mrnobody1997 (talk) 23:33, 24 June 2018 (UTC) Mrnobody1997
- I am interested in your reasoning. Please let me know. --Bejnar (talk) 21:51, 26 June 2018 (UTC)
- @Mrnobody1997: I am serious. I do want to know your reasoning for your previous removal of the word "parole" from the Anjem Choudary article. I do want to know what your objection to its use was. You may answer here. --Bejnar (talk) 18:35, 3 July 2018 (UTC)
NF address is not headquarters
[edit]A BM Box is not a physical location. It is a service company called British Monomarks that provides accommodation addresses to companies and organisations all over the UK. Here is the company's website. Please take a look at it, and then go back to the article and delete London. The NF headquarters can be reached via a London PO Box, but it's just a forwarding address and does not mean their HQ are there. Quite frankly, we don't know where it is, and that's the point. The NF's most recent Electoral Commission registration was in 2015 and that gave an address in Hull, also a post box (but a Post Office one so almost certainly in Hull). [edit]Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
- Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment, or
- With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button located above the edit window.
This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.
