Review of Cisco OnPlus article
Hi Mrmakito - To your comment regarding new sources, I have included several external new sources and networking articles regarding OnPlus, in addition to the Cisco sources. Thanks again for your feedback, let me know if this can be approved. Thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Onplus (talk • contribs) 16:26, 3 July 2012 (UTC)

Hello. As a contributor to this article, I thought you might want to know that I have nominated it for deletion. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Feud between Karl Rove and Rick Perry. Robofish (talk) 20:14, 7 July 2012 (UTC)
Spam?
Hello, the speedydeletion project is not spam. there are valid articles in there, and I personally think that wikipedia needs to change its deletion policy. I have support for my project on the wikipedia lists and everyone knows I am working on it. So please consider it a tolerated unofficial wikipedia collaboration project and not spam. I changed the template to say that you personally dont want people to be informed of the back uped articles, I think that is better. At least the users can contact me or you if they want to know where the article went. thanks, James Michael DuPont (talk) 11:43, 8 July 2012 (UTC)
- The point is that you are connected to the speedy deletion wiki and therefore leaving large numbers of messages on editors' talk pages is inappropriate and does make it look like spam. If you are seriously intending to add the template to user's talk pages in any significant quantity (such as every time an article is backed up at the speedy deletion wiki) then there needs to be some consensus to do this.
- One could argue how it should be accomplished, but why wouldn't anyone wish to tell an editor where their deleted article is and how they can improve it or what guidelines they are not following? Mugginsx (talk) 13:16, 8 July 2012 (UTC)
- I can appreciate that you disagree with the deletion policy and I'm sure you already know that the only way to get it changed is through a series of request for comments. -- Mrmatiko (talk) 12:32, 8 July 2012 (UTC)
- Sorry to intrude but I've just become aware of this issue and would like to know more about it, so I'd support an RfC on whether we should, and under what circumstances should we, point the authors to an archived copy of their speedily-deleted work. --Anthonyhcole (talk) 12:56, 8 July 2012 (UTC)
- Ok, I welcome any initial suggestions you have. I'll have a go at drafting an RFC in a bit, don't know where the most appropriate place to put it would be though. -- Mrmatiko (talk) 13:09, 8 July 2012 (UTC)
- Saved me some effort :) I'll give a comment by the end of the day. -- Mrmatiko (talk) 13:13, 8 July 2012 (UTC)

Please read and follow the talk page guidelines. Thanks in advance, Arcandam (talk) 09:52, 12 July 2012 (UTC)
- Not unexpected I suppose, fine. I was hoping that you might decide to take the hint and disengage completely, but apparently that isn't your style. -- Mrmatiko (talk) 09:57, 12 July 2012 (UTC)
- I don't think you know me very well. Arcandam (talk) 10:07, 12 July 2012 (UTC)

Article about Radha Thomas
I am currently working on the Wiki page for Ms Radha Thomas. She is an Indian jazz singer and songwriter. In fact, she is known as a diva in the Indian jazz scene. She previously was with the band Human Bondage and has sung and performed globally. The article is still under development. I haven't completed it or submitted it for review yet. You can have a look at it at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:Articles_for_creation/Radha_Thomas. I will be requesting your help and advice (as usual) in making it conform to all Wiki standards. If you do a Google Search for Radha (https://www.google.co.in/#hl=en&output=search&sclient=psy-ab&q=Radha+Thomas&oq=Radha+Thomas&gs_l=hp.3..0l2j0i30l2.1190.3159.0.3385.12.12.0.0.0.0.282.1949.0j11j1.12.0...0.0...1c.dYmnNUlMsQM&pbx=1&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_cp.r_qf.,cf.osb&fp=f6ee012440c72a74&biw=1024&bih=509) you will find dozens of articles and links to her work. As of now, the article is still under development and I will come bug you for help soon! Varunr (talk) 06:37, 18 July 2012 (UTC)
- Just let me know when you've finished it & I'll take a look; at the moment it definitely needs more sources. -- Mrmatiko (talk) 06:50, 18 July 2012 (UTC)
- Sure! Thank you very much. Yes, it needs a lot more sources. I've only started work on it. Needs a lot more meat - a lot of sources. Will let you know when. Thanks again.Varunr (talk) 10:48, 23 July 2012 (UTC)

DYK nomination of Lewisia
Hello! Your submission of Lewisia at the Did You Know nominations page has been reviewed, and there still are some issues that may need to be clarified. Please review the comment(s) underneath your nomination's entry and respond there as soon as possible. Thank you for contributing to Did You Know! Chris857 (talk) 03:44, 4 August 2012 (UTC)
JamesBWatson
I see you editied about me on JamesBWatson`s page.I am on vacation but i still contribute to wikipedia.I don`t want anyone writing on my talk page.Receptie123 (talk) 17:25, 5 August 2012 (UTC)
- User talk pages shouldn't ever be fully protected, but I think James was doing you a favour because you said you were away. It is important that other editors are able to contact you on your talk page because the whole point of Wikipedia is that it is a collaborative project. By preventing anyone other than administrators from leaving messages on your talk page you make it impossible for anyone to ask for your opinions or make constructive editing suggestions. It is not appropriate to be editing while your user talk page is fully protected. Semi-protection would be sufficient to prevent any vandalism from unregistered/ non-confirmed users (though it shouldn't really be done without any evidence of vandalism taking place). -- Mrmatiko (talk) 17:34, 5 August 2012 (UTC)
- Just to prove that this is a problem: I can't leave a talkback because only administrators are able to edit your talk page... -- Mrmatiko (talk) 17:41, 5 August 2012 (UTC)
DYK for Lewisia
On 9 August 2012, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Lewisia, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that Meriwether Lewis discovered the first Lewisia at Lolo Creek, in the mountain range that became known as the Bitterroot Mountains? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Lewisia. You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and it will be added to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |
Orlady (talk) 00:02, 9 August 2012 (UTC)
I didn't got why it was deleted. Could you explain if possible? Thanks :) TheSpecialUser TSU 22:34, 10 August 2012 (UTC)
- I'm surprised that the oversighter didn't leave a message on your talk page. As you are under 18, you should not post any specific personal information on your user page. While this isn't a good idea whatever age you are, there are "child protection" issues that mean such information must be removed even if you feel mature enough to make the decision to post such personal information as your date of birth. I don't know whether you've read the advice for younger editors but it might be worth checking out, even if you are aware of most of the advice (It may seem patronising, but you should be aware that this is a very tricky area). -- Mrmatiko (talk) 08:35, 11 August 2012 (UTC)
- I've already read the guidance but however never came across to child protection links. Thanks for the reply :) TheSpecialUser TSU 08:40, 11 August 2012 (UTC)

What stops you from adding the sources yourself? It seems that you just want to be a deletionist rather than improve Wikipedia. You need to get familiarized with Wikipedia's ignore all rules policy. Be constructive, not destructive. You have the option to improve Wikipedia but you are choosing the wrong path and wrong actions. Here, let me help you out. You can also use an online translator such as Google's in case you don't speak Spanish. There's no reason whatsoever to propose a deletion on this article. Ball is in your court. Ahnoneemoos (talk) 17:33, 12 August 2012 (UTC)
- Ahnoneemoos, the policy on protecting living people cannot be overridden in such a lazy fashion. There is no valid reason for invoking "ignore all rules" in this situation. I have absolutely no obligation to introduce sources, neither do you but if you don't then the article will be deleted in 10 days time as unsourced biography of a living person. Every editor who views that article has an obligation, in the interests of protecting living people from harm, to restore the deletion tag per "the BLP deletion template may be removed only after the biography contains a reliable source that supports at least one statement made about the person in the article." -- Mrmatiko (talk) 17:54, 12 August 2012 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for August 19
Hi. When you recently edited Blackwater, Hampshire, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page River Blackwater (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 04:23, 19 August 2012 (UTC)
WikiProject Surrey
Hi,
I do understand what you are saying but PBL is the current founder and it also says this on the page:
To join the project, simply add your name to the bottom of the: Participants list using:
with an optional comment about what you are doing, or what you would like to do. You might also like to add....
If someone wants to add a comment the project's policy says so.
Many thanks.
Willrocks10 (talk) 10:42, 19 August 2012 (UTC)
- There is a difference between someone adding what they are doing and marking people as active and "good members". I'm not keen on declaring people inactive just because they haven't responded to a single message and it is definitely not reasonable for an open project to declare people as inactive after two weeks of not working on Surrey articles. -- Mrmatiko (talk) 11:08, 19 August 2012 (UTC)
Okay, I agree with you now, let's just leave it at that :) Willrocks10 (talk) 09:32, 20 August 2012 (UTC)
- Of course, don't worry about it. :) -- Mrmatiko (talk) 15:06, 20 August 2012 (UTC)
My Account's Edits
Hi! I'm sorry about my account's recent edit to your talk page. I left my computer on, logged into my account and someone hijacked it and added nonsense to your page. Once again, I apologize. Best, Electric Catfish 18:07, 23 August 2012 (UTC).
- Just to clarify, I'm using my library's computer. I should have logged out. Sorry. Electric Catfish 18:09, 23 August 2012 (UTC)
- Don't worry about it. I'd guessed that was what had happened since it wasn't a stream of problematic edits (which would have suggested a more serious hijacking). -- Mrmatiko (talk) 18:10, 23 August 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks. I got really upset after finding out what happened. Electric Catfish 18:11, 23 August 2012 (UTC)
