Elision
Hi Mr KEBAB. As the only name I recognise among recent editors here, if you have a minute could you have a look at my query? Thanks. Rui ''Gabriel'' Correia (talk) 11:57, 3 October 2017 (UTC)
- @Rui Gabriel Correia: Thanks for thinking about me, but I'm not sure if I'm the best person to judge that. Fa(c)to, ta(c)to, ja(c)to, ca(c)to are clear examples of elision. The rest I'm not so sure about. I'd say WP:BEBOLD and remove the rest yourself. Mr KEBAB (talk) 16:21, 3 October 2017 (UTC)

IPA for Ukrainian
Hello. I am from Ukraine, and you are from Poland, so I think you very good know Polish, but not Ukrainian. Thank you. (About stressed/unstressed vowels) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 176.117.81.214 (talk) 21:16, 13 October 2017 (UTC)
- @176.117.81.214: (Please remember to WP:SIGN yourself next time.) My knowledge of Ukrainian is irrelevant. We can't allow for WP:OR to supersede what reputable sources say. With that being said, I have no problem with listing unstressed vowels on Help:IPA/Ukrainian (nor do I claim that what you inserted about the unstressed vowels is OR - it's not), I just reverted you because the palatal symbols ⟨ɲ, ʎ, c, ɟ⟩ etc. do not seem to be suitable for Ukrainian (well, maybe the first one is, but not the rest). There's some edit warring going on on that page and editors don't fully agree on what that guide should look like. Mr KEBAB (talk) 21:45, 13 October 2017 (UTC)
About my reverts
Why are you reverting my edit when in the cited source it mentions nothing of just Eastern new England being marked speech? There's not a word of it mentioned that way. In that source it states that parts of Western New England is part of the Northern City Vowel Shift. There is nothing "unmarked" about that. This is even stated on the Northern City vowel shift wikiepdia page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Northern_Cities_Vowel_Shift, with sourced backing. There was nothing dishonest about my edit at all. Thank you!
Thanks for backing me up in "Gerund." (How could Espoo not have noticed that the examples I gave (value, issue, judgmental) ARE all in consecutive syllables, thus disproving his nonsense.) Kostaki mou (talk) 22:55, 25 October 2017 (UTC)
- @Kostaki mou: No problem. Maybe he speaks a dialect with the STRUT-COMMA merger and he finds it difficult to distinguish between those. Mr KEBAB (talk) 13:24, 27 October 2017 (UTC)
Straya IPA
This does contain vulgar humour
Hey, I just recently created my idiolect for you to read. Have you got any suggestions? Questions? Comments? Anyways, feedback is most welcome. Shame how you've reduced your information in your userpage, or like we say in proper Australian, farrrk! — AWESOME meeos ! * ([ˈjæb.ə ət məɪ])) 11:00, 27 October 2017 (UTC)
- @Awesomemeeos: We could work on it, yes. Thanks for the invitation.
- For now, it's still available in the page history. Mr KEBAB (talk) 13:17, 27 October 2017 (UTC)
- Yeah, I just thought this would be a great way to introduce you to my accent. — AWESOME meeos ! * ([ˈjæb.ə ət məɪ])) 14:16, 27 October 2017 (UTC)
