What is wrong not nhvaing ALL his playing honours on the page instead of winners
[edit]Because runners-up title are not an honour, they are a disgrace. Look at the other Profiles from footballers. Nobody has runners-up titles included.

[edit]The article Captain Square has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Neelix (talk) 00:44, 9 September 2010 (UTC)
Nomination of Captain Square for deletion
[edit]A discussion has begun about whether the article Captain Square, which you created or to which you contributed, should be deleted. While contributions are welcome, an article may be deleted if it is inconsistent with Wikipedia policies and guidelines for inclusion, explained in the deletion policy.
The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Captain Square until a concensus is reached, and you are welcome to contribute to the discussion.
You may edit the article during the discussion, including to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. Neelix (talk) 16:20, 9 September 2010 (UTC)

[edit]re:Walmington Home Guard
[edit]Yes, it does seem rather a shame. Unfortunately, User:Neelix had been nominating several of the Dad's Army character articles for deletion, and as several of the minor character pages didn't really have any references, I saw no alternative. I thought that it's better to merge and keep the edit history than lose them completely through prods or AFDs. Luckily, quite a bit of your article has been merged with the list article. Bob talk 16:55, 4 October 2010 (UTC)
- The only thing about that list is that few of them really feature in any episodes except as throwaway names mentioned in passing, so I'm not entirely sure how useful it is. I seem to recall at one point the list of characters had them in a prose list, as opposed to a table, which is probably the easiest way to preserve them if you don't want to lose them. - Will you be updating templates for other cups such as Asian Cup? If not then the templates are out of line for the Asian nations. If you wish to use your template then maybe go ahead, but look at the qualification records that you have destroyed in the process. Druryfire (talk) 17:24, 31 December 2010 (UTC)
- I don't know what mandate you claim for having posted this template all over nft articles: it is enormously wasteful of space, causes multiple breaches of MOS:FLAG, contains ungrammatical capitalisation, and suggests that teams can meaningfully be said to have a record in events that are still more than 10 years away. In many nft articles, qualification data was incorporated into the same table: have you taken due care to avoid deleting that? [edit]Hi. Since you seem to have renamed some of the articles dealing with individual editions of the AFCON, would you please take a look here, where we've been discussing a kind of inconsistency with the articles' titles? Thanks. --Theurgist (talk) 14:47, 19 December 2010 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on 1986 FIFA World Cup qualification (UEFA – OFC play-off) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
