Following your comments, this article was shortened in order to read more like an encyclopaedia article. To show that the vantage sensitivity model is widely accepted, only peer-reviewed sources from leading journals were cited (including article that according to Google Scholar was cited more than 600 times; i.e., Pluess & Belsky). Is there a specific way of including the citation figures with the reference to the article? Mpluess (talk) 08:17, 26 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your assessment and comments. Vantage Sensitivity is a new but established concept in psychology. I think this entry will be helpful for people that want to learn more about this important concept. We do cite several peer-reviewed papers that include the original authors of the concept because these are the most highly cited publications. For example, the first reference represents the main publication (published in one of the top journals in psychology) and has been cited more than 600 times according to google scholar. A quick search on google scholar shows a significant number of papers that refer to Vantage Sensitivity (https://scholar.google.com/scholar?hl=en&as_sdt=0%2C5&q=vantage+sensitivity&btnG=). A search on google also yields a large number of hits (https://www.google.com/search?q=vantage+sensitivity&oq=vantage+sensitivity&aqs=chrome..69i57j0i512j0i22i30l3j69i60l3.2384j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8). I responded to all comments of previous assessments and also acknowledge the potential conflict of interest given that I am one of the leading authors. Hence, I'm wondering whether you would be willing to reconsider your decision to reject this entry. Thanks a lot. Mpluess (talk) 14:00, 27 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your assessment. Vantage Sensitivity is a concept that has been around since 2011. The main peer-reviewed paper on it has been cited more than 600 times since 2013. If you have a look on google scholar you will see that various researchers refer to Vantage Sensitivity in their independent research (https://scholar.google.com/scholar?hl=en&as_sdt=0,5&q=vantage+sensitivity). It is mentioned on several Wikipedia pages such as Sensory Processing Sensitivity, Environmental Sensitivity and Differential Susceptibilit hypothesis. It is not mentioned specifically on Jay Belsky but Differential Susceptibility, one of his major contributions, is also not mentioned there (but it is in Differential Susceptibility hypothesis)? With growing interest in the topic, we want to ensure that people can find reliable information on this basic concept. We responded to all previous comments and made continually changes to address comments. Is there any thing else we can do? Thanks for your help. Mpluess (talk) 09:06, 26 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
