Tagging drafts for speedy deletion
[edit]Hello, MoonlightVector,
Please do not approach tagging drafts for speedy deletion as if they were articles. Draft space is an area where editors, especially new editors, can create and develop articles over time. A new editor might create a draft and give it a title...come back in a week and write a first paragraph, come back in a month with some references they located, etc. I've seen some drafts where an editor has worked on the same page over years, slowly improving it. So, for example, while we delete articles for being "empty", we don't delete drafts for being blank pages until months have passed because an editor might return to work on the page.
This message was prompted by a draft where the editor wrote his name on the page and an hour later you tagged it for speedy deletion for being promotional. For me, that is not enough content to determine whether or not it would be promotional. The situation is totally different than in main space where we would quickly delete a page like that. So, consider Draft space a "safe space" where new editors can learn how to edit. I would not consider a draft promotional unless, for an individual, they were advertising all of their social media accounts and promoting their YouTube channel or, for a company, they were plastering details about their products and sales figures all over the page. Draft space is more forgiving and you might have noticed, about 50% of the speedy deletion criteria that exist apply only to articles, and not to drafts. We don't hold drafts to the same standards as we do articles in the main space. If you have any questions, let me know. Thanks for your work! Liz Read! Talk! 22:47, 29 September 2021 (UTC)
- Hello, MoonlightVector,
- You obviously didn't read my message above because you tagged Draft:How to remove bad reviews from Google? for deletion ONE MINUTE after it was created! I just stated why you shouldn't do this to pages in Draft space. If you continue to ignore advice from experienced editors and admins I'll need to ask you to stop tagging pages from deletion entirely. Liz Read! Talk! 23:29, 1 October 2021 (UTC)
- Ok well im not really looking into that kind of stuff anymore. Im mostly looking for copyvio MoonlightVectorTalk page 13:02, 4 October 2021 (UTC)

Reliable sources in Draft:DietPi
[edit]Dear MoonlightVector,
thank you for your review. As I understand it, the cited sources seem to be not perfect enough. Therefore, could you give me a hint, which of the cited sources are critical and which are usable. Also the other declines did not give a clear information for me, which points need to be improved.
Sorry for the inconvenience, thanks in advance.
Regards, StephanStS

Hello, MoonlightVector,
You can't just make up your own reasons for pages to be deleted! Please review Criteria for Speedy Deletion and learn what the accepted criteria are. Do not tag any more pages for deletion until you are familiar with all of the criteria, what name spaces they apply to and when they can be used. You shouldn't need all of these messages. If you make more mistakes, I'm going to have to ask you to stop tagging pages completely. Liz Read! Talk! 05:09, 7 October 2021 (UTC)
- Note- Its a draft for a redirect that already exists. MoonlightVectorTalk page 12:18, 7 October 2021 (UTC)
Please see this discussion for a draft that I feel was a mistaken AFC acceptance. We all make mistakes. I may have made one by nominating it. I am notifying you as a courtesy FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 22:47, 7 October 2021 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Uesr:GeorgiPergelov
[edit]A tag has been placed on Uesr:GeorgiPergelov requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section R2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a redirect from the article namespace to a different namespace except the Category, Template, Wikipedia, Help, or Portal namespaces.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. [edit]Heya, not sure if you get ping/notifications, but this discussion at AFC could use your input. Primefac (talk) 07:23, 21 October 2021 (UTC)
- I agree with @Primefac that your input is needed. I'll repeat for you here what I have just said there:
- "[...]it is important, please, that you [...] offer your thoughts. While this may seem as if you are on some sort of trial that is not the case. Good reviewers have all made mistakes. Unless mistakes are repeated after advice we prefer reviewers to grow into the role, making fewer errors of judgement as they gain expertise and experience. Please come here and take advice from those of us who have made mistakes before you.
- I give you a guarantee now that I still make errors in reviewing drafts, and will continue to do so. I also know that my errors are fewer as time passes. That is my hope for you, too."
- With that in mind, please make the time to come and give your thoughts and receive advice. This is "on the job training" and suggested in that spirit. FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 09:47, 21 October 2021 (UTC)

[edit]I don’t understand what you mean by “Prejudice does not apply here”. Please elaborate on it. Perfecnot (talk) 19:53, 26 October 2021 (UTC)
- Was meaning that this was an unbiased-reversion MoonlightVectorTalk page 19:54, 26 October 2021 (UTC)
- But the article is a opinion article, meaning its biased. Perfecnot (talk) 19:56, 26 October 2021 (UTC)
- Moonlightvector, are you aware of WP:ROLLINGSTONEPOLITICS? Rolling Stone is considered to be a generally unreliable source for politics post 2011, I wouldn't have an impact section in an article on a PAC sourced to nothing except Rolling Stone coverage. 192.76.8.77 (talk) 00:12, 27 October 2021 (UTC)
- Thank you for bringing that to my attention, should I revert the edits. I don't want to start a edit war, what should I do? Perfecnot (talk) 01:17, 27 October 2021 (UTC)
- Are you willing to remove it now? Perfecnot (talk) 13:30, 27 October 2021 (UTC)@MoonlightVector Perfecnot (talk) 13:30, 27 October 2021 (UTC)
If you are into GAR things, could you also open a GAR discussion about Halo Array? It contains a lot of issues, several unsourced statements, and has no reception section either, which it probably fails WP:GNG, thanks. 150.147.198.180 (talk) 23:55, 26 October 2021 (UTC)
