I assure you it was nothing to do with an overly Anglo-US focus, although we do suffer from that, but good faith efforts by reviewers like myself to try to ensure Notability. I'll take a look at it in a couple of days, and it's already been worked on by a NZ editor who shares your interests, and has shared your frustration! I'd like to see more well established arts and culture both represented on wikipedia and accurately portrayed so I'll be very happy with this lesson in getting things through the notability guidelines.
