[edit]Hello, I'm Mattythewhite. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Eden Hazard, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Speedy deletion nomination of User:Mirceaulinic
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on User:Mirceaulinic, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
- It seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. (See section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
- It appears to consist of writings, information, discussions, and/or activities not closely related to Wikipedia's goals. Please note that Wikipedia is not a free Web hosting service. (See section U5 of the criteria for speedy deletion.)
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Contested deletion
[edit]This page should not be speedily deleted because I'm not linking to any company produce whatsoever, just linking to my personal blog. If that's still considered a violation, no issues from my side, but wanted to confirm. Thanks!

[edit]You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose. Additionally, if your contributions to Wikipedia form all or part of work for which you are, or expect to be, paid, you must disclose who is paying you to edit.
If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
at the bottom of your talk page.
You may simply create a new account, but you may prefer to change your username to one that complies with our username policy, so that your past contributions are associated with your new username. If you would prefer to change your username, you may appeal this username block by adding the text
{{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
at the bottom of your talk page. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names.
Thank you. 331dot (talk) 22:52, 12 January 2020 (UTC)Contested username block
[edit]Mirceaulinic (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
My username is MY own name (Mircea Ulinic), I can't change it whether you like it or not.
Accept reason:
Since it's your own name, I will remove the block. 331dot (talk) 13:02, 16 January 2020 (UTC)
@331dot: In this case, I agree. I see why the block was made; your user page linked to your website. However, I believe the blocking admin did not realise this is just your real name (rather than, say, a company). Furthermore, your website appears to be non-commercial (but note, I use an ad blocker), set up to freely share interesting technical information with the world, and you do not appear to have been linking to it inappropriately. I understand why the block was made but I believe it was a mistake in this case. 331dot, as the blocking admin, what are your thoughts? --Yamla (talk) 12:38, 16 January 2020 (UTC)
