Username change
[edit]Hi there, your username "Mikepushofficial" which represents the stage name of Mike Dierickx and has been used for editing in the involved person's article page earlier, may fall under WP:IMPERSONATE policies since we have no idea if you're the actual Mike Dierickx using this account under your real name. It may be misleading for other people to think that you're Mike Dierickx when you may not be. I recommend that you recreate a new account under a different, not-known username. A fair warning, as per the stage names guideline, "[...] unless the user makes promotional edits within Wikipedia about themselves, their projects, etc", you will be reported and perhaps blocked. No worries though, your earlier edits were apparently just to update the info within the page, so as long as you refrain from any promo edits everything should be fine. Thanks! aNode (discuss) 05:11, 19 September 2018 (UTC)

[edit]If you are the person represented by this username, please note that the practice of blocking such usernames is to protect you from being impersonated, not to discourage you from editing Wikipedia. You may choose to edit under a new username (see information below), but keep in mind that you are welcome to continue to edit under this username. If you choose to do so, we ask the following:
- Please be willing and able to prove your identity to Wikipedia.
- Please send an email to info-enwikimedia.org. Be aware that the volunteer response team that handles email is indeed operated entirely by volunteers, and the reply may not be immediate.
If you are not the person represented by this username, you are welcome to choose a new username (see below).
A username should not be promotional, related to a "real-world" group or organization, misleading, offensive, or disruptive. Also, usernames may not end in the word "bot" unless the account is an approved bot account.
You are encouraged to choose a new account name that meets our policy guidelines and create the account yourself. Alternatively, if you have already made edits and you wish to keep your existing contributions under a new name, then you may request a change in username by:
- Adding
{{unblock-un|your new username here}}
below. You should be able to do this even though you are blocked, as you can usually still edit your own talk page. If not, you may wish to contact the blocking administrator by clicking on "Email this user" on their talk page. - At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a request.
- Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names. The account is created upon acceptance, thus do not try to create the new account before making the request for a name change. For more information, please see Wikipedia:Changing username.
- Adding
{{unblock|Your reason here}}
below this notice, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. Jauerbackdude?/dude. 21:47, 21 September 2018 (UTC)Mikepushofficial (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
The verification of the identity of this user account has been archived in the Wikimedia OTRS system. Full documentation is available only to OTRS volunteers. If you are an English Wikipedia user and wish to confirm the verification, please leave a note at the OTRS noticeboard. ---- Ticket: 2019020310000366 |

[edit]Hello! Thank you for your recent contributions to Mike Dierickx. I did have one note for you. I am working on a maintenance project to clean up Category:Pages using infoboxes with thumbnail images. In the future, please do not use thumbnails when adding images to an infobox (see WP:INFOBOXIMAGE). What does this mean? Well in the infobox, when you specify the image you wish to use, instead of doing it like this:
|image=[[File:SomeImage.jpg|thumb|Some image caption]]
Instead just supply the name of the image. So in this case you can simply do:
|image=SomeImage.jpg
.
There will then be a separate parameter for the image caption such as |caption=Some image caption
. Please note that this is a generic form message I am leaving on your page because you recently added a thumbnail to an infobox. The specific parameters for the image and caption may be different for the infobox you are using! Please consult the Template page for the infobox being used to see better documentation. Thanks!! Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, Mikepushofficial. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Mike Dierickx, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam#External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Zackmann (Talk to me/What I been doing) 22:48, 25 January 2023 (UTC)

[edit]You have an obvious Conflict of interest and yet you are doing autobiographical editing. The autobiography policy was explained to you in 2019. You are adding unreferenced genre changes. Your edits violate the Manual of Style, specifically regarding capitalization. Accordingly, I have indefinitely blocked you from editing Mike Dierickx. You are free to make well-referenced Edit requests at Talk: Mike Dierickx. Please read the Guide to appealing blocks. Cullen328 (talk) 02:47, 26 January 2023 (UTC)
