[edit]Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, Midibo. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Theroadislong (talk) 13:11, 1 January 2020 (UTC)

[edit]Please do not remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to User:Midibo/sandbox, without resolving the problem that the template refers to, or giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your removal of this template does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Thank you. Theroadislong (talk) 13:18, 1 January 2020 (UTC) I just removed advertisements.

[edit]You can get other opinions on your draft
[edit]You can get other users opinions on your draft here Wikipedia:WikiProject Articles for creation/Help desk I will leave it to another reviewer to take a look, it could take up to 4 months though. Theroadislong (talk) 16:11, 1 January 2020 (UTC)
Is Google Play not an independent source? What is for WikiPedia independent? Not Google? Are the other developers notability enough? How much notability?

Robert McClenon (talk) 16:31, 1 January 2020 (UTC)MfD nomination of Draft:Family Tree Made Simple
[edit]Draft:Family Tree Made Simple, a page which you created or substantially contributed to, has been nominated for deletion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; you may participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Draft:Family Tree Made Simple and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Draft:Family Tree Made Simple during the discussion but should not remove the miscellany for deletion template from the top of the page; such a removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. Robert McClenon (talk) 16:33, 1 January 2020 (UTC)

[edit]Please stop your disruptive editing.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant notice boards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Draft:Family Tree Made Simple, you may be blocked from editing. Theroadislong (talk) 16:55, 1 January 2020 (UTC) But they don't want to find any consensus.
- I asked some very important questions. But got no answer. Why?
Please tell me where you see and advertisement? If so, then I see many more advertisements here too: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_genealogy_software — Preceding unsigned comment added by Midibo (talk • contribs) 16:38, 1 January 2020 (UTC) And I see many more advertisements here too: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Windows-only_software And I can continue this... Since you cannot see advertisements here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_genealogy_software or here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Windows-only_software you have no objection to me posting the article again.
- Midibo If you could be more specific about exactly which articles in those lists and categories you consider to be advertisements I will happily take a look and nominate for deletion where appropriate. Theroadislong (talk) 17:25, 1 January 2020 (UTC)
- Theroadislong If you could be more specific where exactly you see advertisements in my article I will happily take a look and change it appropriate.
- All of it is just an advert, we only report on what reliable independent sources have said about a subject and your draft has zero independent sources, just two links to download pages. Theroadislong (talk) 17:39, 1 January 2020 (UTC)
- So you see "All of it is just an advert". But I wrote the same like almost all others from here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_genealogy_software So, please tell me, where is the difference?
- I have nominated one of those articles for deletion, and tagged others for notability, if there are more like yours I can nominate those too. Please see other crap exists, just because there are other rubbish articles doesn't mean we need more. Theroadislong (talk) 17:55, 1 January 2020 (UTC)
- There are a lot more. But this is not my job! Why not delete https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_genealogy_software ? It's all advertisements! Advertisements for software.
- It's not my job either? (and I don't see how the comparison page is an advert at all). We are all just volunteers here trying to build a neutral well sourced encyclopedia. Theroadislong (talk) 18:08, 1 January 2020 (UTC)
- If it's not your task, then what you doing here? And of course, every software which linked from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_genealogy_software is an advertisement if you see advertisement in my article too. I see almost every link on this page which links to a software article doesn't fit the https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Notability_%28software%29
- Then you are free to nominate them for deletion at WP:AFD with that as the reason. Theroadislong (talk) 18:51, 1 January 2020 (UTC)
- I've a much better idea. In a few week you'll dream about this subject.

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to remove Miscellany for deletion notices or comments from articles and Miscellany for deletion pages, as you did at Draft:Family Tree Made Simple, you may be blocked from editing. Robert McClenon (talk) 17:02, 1 January 2020 (UTC)
You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you remove a Miscellany for deletion notice or a comment from an MfD discussion, as you did at User:Midibo/sandbox. Robert McClenon (talk) 17:51, 1 January 2020 (UTC)

[edit]This draft reads like an advertisement, but Wikipedia is not for advertising.
Does not satisfy software notability.
Please do not submit multiple copies of drafts. It does not increase the likelihood that one of them will be accepted into article space, and annoys the reviewers. It is likely to be seen as an effort to game the system, and may result in the drafts being nominated for deletion.
