Grindr

[edit]

Hello. Welcome to Wikipedia, unfortunately one or more of your recent contributions to Grindr have been reverted/amended. Even though this edit was made in good-faith, Wikipedia is not a directory. With this particular page it is confusing because it does list a lot of content. However, this also needs to be worked on. A copy of your edit is available on the article’s edit history. For more general advice on editing see the Contributing to Wikipedia page.

If you have any questions, please leave a message on my talk page. Thank you.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Emergency Care Coordination Center, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Brendan Carr. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 05:57, 28 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

ZanaAfrica foundation moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, ZanaAfrica foundation, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Onel5969 TT me 12:21, 4 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the info.
Below are the substantial changes I made to the article. Please take into consideration that the 20+ references are third-party, and none are primary.
POSSIBLY SUBJECTIVE/ADVERTORIAL PHRASING:  Removed
FUNDING:  The sponsorship from the Bill and Melina Gates Foundation was mentioned several times in the article, which might come across as boasting. It does seem to be a partnership relevant to the organization (funding for any nonprofit is need-to-know information). To make it clearer, mentions have been consolidated into a single section.
OFF-TOPIC INFORMATION:  I removed what would not be of importance to a reader/researcher. Such things appeared in my research, and I added them because I could source them, but I failed to do so discriminately.  In hindsight, I can see some points dealt with macro issues rather than micro-focusing on the subject of the article. Divergent ones were deleted. Those that remain seem necessary to frame the incentive of the organizations.
Additional info: I have no association with the organization described; I was doing research, and enough referred to the organization that it seemed like it would make for a valid entry on Wikipedia.  ~~~ Middleground1 (talk) 23:44, 11 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Mirrors

[edit]

Information icon Thanks for contributing to the article Theodoros Mitras. However, one of Wikipedia's core policies is that material must be verifiable and attributed to reliable sources. You have recently used citations which copied, or mirrored, material from Wikipedia. This leads to a circular reference and is not acceptable. Most mirrors are clearly labeled as such, but some are in violation of our license and do not provide the correct attribution. Please help by adding alternate sources to the article you edited! If you need any help or clarification, you can look at Help:Contents/Editing Wikipedia or ask at Wikipedia:New contributors' help page, or just ask me. Thank you. Thank you for pointing that out! I'll put an article on my list of things to revisit. Again, thanks for taking the time to point this out. Middleground1 (talk) 18:49, 19 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I have sent you a note about a page you started

[edit]

Hi Middleground1. Thank you for your work on Filip Swirski. Another editor, Klbrain, has reviewed it as part of new pages patrol and left the following comment:

Thanks for this quite detailed page on Swirski. While many of the references are from Swirski's group, there are a sufficient number that aren't; so, we can consider some of the Swirski articles as supporting facts. I've added someone of Swirski's identifiers to Wikidata, and this then allows these to be pulled through on 'authority control', something you might want to consider doing for future articles.

To reply, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Klbrain}}. (Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.)
