Re: Ugaz Abdulrahman Abd Ghani

I don't remember off the top of my head whether titles are supposed to be included in article names, but I suspect they shouldn't be. I'm fine with making that change, if you want. But make sure you update all links; there is one redirect I created yesterday from a duplicate article someone had started because they disagreed on how to spell his name. (I don't know which of the two ways is best; I just picked one, so fix that if I picked wrong.) -- llywrch (talk) 17:06, 24 March 2011 (UTC)

Yes, that was another thing I was confused about. Part of the article describes him as "Abdulrahman Abd Ghani". However, he also seems to be referred to by some as "Abdulrahman Muhumad Qani", so I bolded both names just in case. I was working on the Ras Alula page a bit earlier, and I noticed that the article title doesn't contain the honorific Ras nor do the bios of many other Ethiopian notables; so perhaps this is indeed the case. Cheers, Middayexpress (talk) 17:24, 24 March 2011 (UTC)
I thought immediately of Ras Makonnen when I wrote my original comment (which should be at Makonnen Wolde Mikael). There's a lot of articles with names like that; too bad there isn't a WikiGnome who might hunt them all down & give them names without the title -- but I figure there are a lot of backwaters of Wikipedia that need similar attention. -- llywrch (talk) 22:56, 24 March 2011 (UTC)
Good point. Should we perhaps then rename the Ras Makonnen page too? Middayexpress (talk) 15:59, 25 March 2011 (UTC)
That was sorta my implication, if you know what I mean & I think you do. ;-) -- llywrch (talk) 17:00, 26 March 2011 (UTC)
Just making sure. Middayexpress (talk) 17:21, 26 March 2011 (UTC)
