[edit]Hello MickeyVonWiki. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.
Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:MickeyVonWiki. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=MickeyVonWiki|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. 331dot (talk) 18:40, 10 July 2023 (UTC)
- If you intend to continue, put on your User page and here on your Talk page that you have no paid nor personal connection to the author or publisher. That would clear any question of you being an undeclared paid editor, which could lead to an indefinite block of any editing on any article. As for the draft, it needs a plot summary, which does not need to be referenced, as the book itself is the source. And I strongly advise deleting the character section. David notMD (talk) 15:22, 11 July 2023 (UTC)
- Sorry for delayed answer. I am still trying to figure out how the Wikipedia works. No, I am not being paid for this in any form. But yes, I was asked by a friend to do this for her. She is a fan of the book series and she does not have the skill set to make the articles. It seems neither do I. I have created a few web pages in my time, but this is so much more difficult. Ps.The book series is notable, as it does fulfil the Wikipedia requirement as a major Award winner in 2022 and 2023 at Next Generation Indie Book Awards MickeyVonWiki (talk) 19:17, 11 July 2023 (UTC)

- Please clarify what is missing. I have done everything others who declined it earlier advised me to do. 1. Lot of content was removed as Plot summary is enough. 2. Book qualifies as Wikipedia article as is has won an award listed on Wikipedia's "worthy" awards list. 3. References were removed as they are not necessary, the book itself works as a reference. 4. The article is reliable, as the book exists and has won awards.
- Please do not contradict with other reviewers @David notMD, otherwise as new user, I have no idea how to create an article in the future. MickeyVonWiki (talk) 17:47, 12 July 2023 (UTC)
References are required
[edit]What I meant was that a reference is not needed for the plot section. References are absolutely required to verify notability of the book. David notMD (talk) 20:12, 12 July 2023 (UTC) I converted the 2022 Indie mention to a ref. However, being a finalist rather than the winner is not sufficient to confirm notability. David notMD (talk) 20:33, 12 July 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you @David notMD, I will work on the references again. Please do note that Next Generation Indie Book Awards is listing winners and finalists (finalist does not mean all the rest) equally as “Award winners”, which is the requirement for Wikipedia in books category (1.The book has won a major literary award. ) After lot of diggings into the matter, this book is an award winner. The second book from the series is also an award winner, even though it is the winner in science fiction category. MickeyVonWiki (talk) 21:04, 12 July 2023 (UTC)
