Edits to your draft

[edit]

Hello Michelia618 - I have made a few small edits on your new draft article on Alice Chien, and left a couple of tags to show where you might add some more citations (which will help strengthen the case for the page). I'm not a new page reviewer, but hopefully you will get a review in due course. Chaiten1 (talk) 20:58, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Michelia, unfortunately you didn't save an e-mail address in your account so I couldn't write you directly – write to me if you have any questions: grizma@t-online.de. I love that you tackled a whole article about a chinese scientist in that short time during the Diversithon! I think you're a natural in the Wikipedia environment. ;D The review process unfortunately takes a while, but here are some sugguestions how you can improve the structure of the article to make sure the article will be released soon:
  • The article is lacking a selection of publications. Start with books and book chapters by Alice Chien and just add a variety of articles. It really just should be few important ones, like max. 5-7. Wikipedia does not expect completeness, it's just supposed to be an overview.
  • Also there should be a section "Research" about her research focus and maybe current research groups she's participating in or leading. You could sum up some of your content in the section research and try to include it in subtitled subsections.
  • Try to restructure the article a bit. Usually the biographical info is at the top, then follows research, awards, publications. Here are a few good examples you could check out and compare to adapt your draft: Ying Fan Reinfelder, Cuilin Zhang. Maybe also include a section "External Links" with 2 or 3 links to important profiles of Chien, at her institution, at some kind of academy or database.
Good luck! If you want to give another asian scientist a try, you can find a list in the Women in Red Linklist. Just search for "chinese" and I'm pretty sure some will pop up!
