Re: Rollback
Hi Xenu.
I would really like to see you gain some more experience fighting vandalism before I give you rollback. You really don't have a lot of reversions; I was able to look at all of them in a very short amount of time. Most of them were good, but here you re-added an uncited negative statement to a biography of a living person. Also, some of the interactions that you had with Thatcher were concerning.
I really hate to deny your request; you haven't really done much wrong with your reversions; I just think you need a little more experience first. Please don't feel too badly about this. What you should do now is fight more vandalism, to gain more expertise, and maybe in a week or two, ask me again. —Preceding unsigned comment added by J.delanoy (talk • contribs) 19:51, 1 October 2008 (UTC)
"vandalism after recent release of block"
The "vandalism after recent release of block" checkbox in Twinkle's ARV tab is meant to be checked for vandals who have come off of a block on the current day and begin vandalizing again. I noticed that the last couple of reports at AIV that you filed had this line in the report, including one IP that had been unblocked for a week and had only vandalized once. Unblocked vandals only qualify for an automatic reblock if the begin vandalizing immediately (1 day) after their block is released, not a few days or a week. Please keep this in mind when submitting future AIV reports, and be sure to keep up the good work! Ioeth (talk contribs friendly) 19:49, 25 November 2008 (UTC)
- Sorry, didn't know that, I thought it was for users/ips that had been blocked. Thanks. Message from XENUu, t 19:50, 25 November 2008 (UTC)
- No problem! Lots of people get that confused. I've been mulling over changing Twinkle's description of the checkbox to make it a bit more accurate, since it is so often misinterpreted. Kudos on the vandalism fighting, you seem to be doing a good job. Ioeth (talk contribs friendly) 19:54, 25 November 2008 (UTC)

Friendly note regarding talk page messages
Hello. As a recent editor to User talk:99.234.64.156, I wanted to leave a friendly reminder that as per WP:USER, editors may remove messages at will from their own talk pages. While we may prefer that comments be archived instead, policy does not prohibit users -including anonymous editors like this one- from deleting messages from their own talk pages. The only kinds of talk page messages that cannot be removed (as per WP:BLANKING) are declined unblock requests (but only while blocks are still in effect), confirmed sockpuppet notices, or IP header templates (for unregistered editors). These exceptions only exist in order to keep a user from potentially gaming the system. Thanks, Kralizec! (talk) 04:04, 28 November 2008 (UTC)
- Ah thanks for the note. I always thought it was against policy to remove warnings, obviously not. Thanks for the heads-up. Message from XENUcomplaints? leave me a message! 04:16, 28 November 2008 (UTC)
- No worries! I did not know about it either (and used to revert IPs like crazy when they removed warnings) until someone else told me. :-) --Kralizec! (talk) 04:31, 28 November 2008 (UTC)

Tibet
On the contrary! people remove my comments on the Tibet talk page all the time. Controversy talk is not welcome there. Check. So I did the same thing, removed a part of our discussion. 83.254.145.87 (talk) 22:17, 28 November 2008 (UTC)
And I removed the see also on Mumu because the only link there was red, you can not see something which is not there.
- Perhaps people were removing your comments as they were vandalism, or not suitable. Regardless, editing of other peoples comments isn't really accepted. Message from XENUcomplaints? leave me a message! 13:56, 29 November 2008 (UTC)
- My comments were definitely not vandalism. Tibet is not a free country. China occupied Tibet and the Dalai Lama tries to work for a free Tibet. It Is a controversial issue, yes, but is not vandalism. Some (chinese?) people overthere are making their best to stop any comment on these issues, consequently, in almost all Tibet related pages. This is not he first time. And often by using the claim that is not an issue for the article, that it is not for the talk page, and talk pages are not a forum. As far as I know controversial issues are suposed to be mentioned, discussed and pointed out, even in the article lead. I can not see this in those articles. Those people are hindering this by hiding behind a neutrality mask. If editing of other peoples comments isn't really accepted, than why are people like user Gimme Danger is doing it so often?
83.254.145.87 (talk) 16:40, 29 November 2008 (UTC)
- I'm not sure, and it's not my place to say. You might want to raise the issue at WP:ANI. Message from XENUcomplaints? leave me a message! 16:44, 29 November 2008 (UTC)
This message was much nicer! Cookies and ewerything. I just edited a little, sometimes when I am at my cousins house, taking care of the dog. But we don't have a computer, my mom doesn't want me to have one, but my cousin doesn't care. Sometimes I am using a computer in the school, so I don't have a talk page. Thanks for the nice message!

Airwolfe
Well, first off he wasn't anonymous, he was a registered account that's pretty clearly a block-evading sockpuppet; second, he was claiming to be a student, a common ploy of professional marketers trying to sneak promo pages on (and if he is a marketing pro, as he seems to inadvertently indicate in his unblock request, then he really needs to write better). But perhaps that was a little gratuitous ... I'll take it out, if only to give him less reason to complain. Daniel Case (talk) 18:57, 29 November 2008 (UTC)
Theresa knott was the blocking admin in question. However, this one clearly quacked like a duck ... same article, different title as the one created by blocked User:Web marketing. That wasn't the only one, either. See the SSP report. Daniel Case (talk) 20:02, 29 November 2008 (UTC)

Dear Message From Xenu,
I thought you may like to know it was not me that approved your rollback request, but I alerted you. I am a fellow rollbacker but I like congratulating other rollbackers. It has recently caused misunderstanding me alerting whether declined or approved as some editors thought I was the decider. From,

Unnamed
I dissagree with your assesment over my edit to this article, particularly as I am a fan of Stone Brother Racing (Ford) and not a Holden or Rick Kelly supporter. The facts in which I refer to are correct and Lowndes did admit in an interview on Channel 10's RPM that he would have won the championship had he rejoined after the field had passed. Infact, I would argue that not allowing my edit is infact more of a sign of bias then allowing my edit.
But at the end of the day you appear to have more authority on this point so your opinion is obviously the one that counts, but I would ask that you atleast reconsider as my comment is absolutely valid and is indeed a point that is often raised when referring to the incident. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 144.136.146.190 (talk) 12:28, 6 December 2008 (UTC)

AfD nomination of Lucid Desktop
An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Lucid Desktop. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Lucid Desktop. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.
Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:14, 17 November 2009 (UTC)

Potentially anything
I don't understand what meaning should be assigned to the statement "It could potentially be anything". Could a fish "potentially" be a bird? If not, why can't the fish be "potentially anything", while the Pac-Man game at MediaFire could. In any case, it is relevant not because of what it "potentially could (or could not) be", but because of what it actually is: the Google version of Pac-Man. --Lambiam 19:35, 24 May 2010 (UTC)

Reviewer permission
Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.
For the guideline on reviewing, see Wikipedia:Reviewing. Being granted reviewer rights doesn't change how you can edit articles even with pending changes. The general help page on pending changes can be found here, and the general policy for the trial can be found here.
If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 02:06, 1 August 2010 (UTC)
