Rollback

Hi, after seeing Tiptoety's diffs, I would like you to wait a little longer. See WP:VAND and consider if edits are good faith or not. I'll be happy to re-grant this in the near future, but please slow down. Thanks, PeterSymonds (talk) 20:27, 20 August 2008 (UTC)

Your rollback request

Hi! I regret that I must inform you that your request for the rollback permission has been denied. You can discover why by checking the archives at Wikipedia:Requests for permissions/Denied/August 2008#Message From Xenu. SoxBot X (talk) 20:30, 20 August 2008 (UTC)

Greetings...

Any relation to David Mudkips? Chase me ladies, I'm the Cavalry (talk) 03:33, 21 August 2008 (UTC)

Your name... David Mudkips is a common nickname for David Miscavige amonst the Project Chanology ranks, and I thought you may have had something to do with that project! No worries if you don't :-) Chase me ladies, I'm the Cavalry (talk) 16:03, 21 August 2008 (UTC)

Declined speedy as it does not meet criteria as nonsense-- needs a rewrite. No comment on whether or not it would survive at AFD. Cheers, Dlohcierekim 20:30, 31 August 2008 (UTC)

"update" tag on Black hole page.

Hi, yesterday you put a {{update}} tag on the black hole page without leaving any message on the talk page. Could you be a little more specific on what you think needs updating? Thanks a lot.(TimothyRias (talk) 08:10, 1 September 2008 (UTC))

Account creation interface

I did request an account, and I'd be more than happy to help. Message from XENUu, t 19:26, 9 September 2008 (UTC)

ACC Tool

Thank you for applying to access the account creation tool. Unfortunately I was unable to process your request. The ACC tool is a powerful program, and at the present time your account is either too new for us to determine whether you would know how to properly use the tool or that you have not attained the necessary level of trust to be granted access. Please don't take this personally and feel free to contact me if you have any questions. —— RyanLupin(talk) 19:28, 9 September 2008 (UTC)

accidental block

God, I'm SO SORRY!!! I was looking at the wrong screen.

You're unblocked now, I cannot express to you how bad I feel now. I am really, really, really, sorry. J.delanoygabsadds 19:10, 16 September 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for not getting mad at me. There was no excuse for my lack of attention there. J.delanoygabsadds 19:13, 16 September 2008 (UTC)

On my userpage, there is a line that says {{/<!--J.delanoy-->S<!--J.delanoy-->tatu<!--J.delanoy-->sTempla<!--J.delanoy-->te|?}}

The gibberish is there to make it harder for random vandals to figure out what is going on.

To change my status, I just change the text after the vertical bar, "|", and before the two closing braces "}}". "?" makes it say "college", "in" makes it say "online", "busy" is, um, "busy" :D and "out = "offline".

As far as userpages go, you can do almost anything you want to. Look around at various people's pages for ideas. If you want to see the actual code for my userpage, look at User:J.delanoy/userpage.

If you don't want to do the work yourself, User:RyRy might design your page for you if you ask him nicely. I really don't have time for a large project, as I'm taking 19.5 credits at college. J.delanoygabsadds 19:49, 16 September 2008 (UTC)

Username concern

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia!

I hope not to seem unfriendly or make you feel unwelcome, but I noticed your username, and I am concerned that it might not meet Wikipedia's username policy for the following reason: it may be offensive and disharmonious to editing, and while I'm not a fan of Scientology, User:Message From God, User:Message From Allah, and User:Message From Jesus would be equally problematic.. After you look over that policy, could we discuss that concern here?

I'd appreciate learning your own views, for instance your reasons for wanting this particular name, and what alternative username you might accept that avoids raising this concern.

You have several options freely available to you:

Thank you. --slakrtalk / 20:22, 16 September 2008 (UTC)

I've come into contact with 2 administrators, and neither of them remarked about this. Scientologists, also, if you ask them about Xenu they say he/she/it does not exist. I don't think this is a concern at all. Message from XENUu, t 20:25, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
I just checked your userpage, I noted you were an administrator and you said the internet is one of the last sources of free speech. Let's keep it that way. Message from XENUu, t 20:30, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
Sorry we couldn't come to an agreement. :( Though I can't speak for the other two administrators, I still believe the username may be offensive to editors of a certain faith— again, no matter how much one might disagree with it. Thus, I've listed your username at Wikipedia:Requests_for_comment/User_names#Message_From_Xenu for open discussion. You are welcome to leave comments there if you would like. Cheers. --slakrtalk / 20:37, 16 September 2008 (UTC)

I too would like to request you change your username, not out of fear of offending scientologists but for your own sake. Your name makes it difficult to assume good faith about your edits due to its reference to a common trolling subject. This will make it harder for you to interface positively with other editors, and will possibly be used against you if you ever get into a major content dispute. --erachima talk 10:15, 17 September 2008 (UTC)

BLP

Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions, including your edits to Mary-Kate Olsen. However, please be aware of Wikipedia's policy that biographical information about living persons must not be libelous. Any controversial statements about a living person added to an article, or any other Wikipedia page, must include proper sources. Thank you. -- Smjg (talk) 21:33, 16 September 2008 (UTC)

Settle down

You've got some logged out edits that appear to be trolling; you have also apparently warned yourself about vandalism. If you want to be taken seriously, settle down and cut it out. Thanks. Thatcher 00:21, 17 September 2008 (UTC)

I hope this addresses any concerns you may have. Not really. At a minimum, you know the vandal you were reverting. The odds of randomly catching a vandal who happens to edit from your exact location are exceedingly remote, as are the chances that a random person at your location would have the same anti-scientology viewpoint that you do. You need to settle down and edit responsibly, that's all. Thatcher 20:00, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
So far I have not identified which IP edits were yours. But I can certainly tell the difference between a residential IP and a school IP, and when someone at a given IP address vandalizes the user page of someone you have been in conflict with, and then 4 minutes later you log in and edit, it is just not credible that that was an unrelated coincidence. I can certainly impose a 24 hour block for trolling and post the evidence, but I would rather you just not do it any more. Thatcher 20:15, 17 September 2008 (UTC)

Your name

Hi!

I just wanted to tell you to not take any of the discussions about your username personally and that I hope that you're not being turned off from Wikipedia by all of this. Everyone means well but opinions sometimes differ and someone who hasn't been around for all that long might take it the wrong way. I hope that you don't get offended by the ongoing discussions and, regardless of the outcome, I hope you decide to stay. I have no problem whatsoever with your username and I hope that I can play a part in making others see things the same way.

Peace! SWik78 (talkcontribs) 16:28, 17 September 2008 (UTC)

Hello, Message From Xenu. While there had been some discussion here about whether your username met Wikipedia policy on what usernames editors can use, the result was to allow it, and that discussion has now been closed. If you would like to see what concerns were raised, you can find a link to the discussion in the archive. You do not need to change your username. Thank you. Is he back? Re: Incidents Page

Thanks for the explanation and kudos for not getting offended... After doing anti-vandalism patrol for a while I've picked up a nasty habit of making assumptions about new accounts. I'm sorry for being paranoid. Anyway, I don't have a problem with your userpage, I really liked the "contributations" jab. Xenu is my homeboy. Cheers, ˉˉanetode╦╩ 19:44, 18 September 2008 (UTC)
