- Good afternoon Kylie, I am trying to make a simple introduction page about the company, and additional materials will be written throughout it's life. Please advise how to publish a simple story page, that can always be added to. I am not looking to publish a huge article, more trying to show that this is an existing company, created during the covid pandemic, and gaining quick national attention. All other stuff I would like other contributors to add throughout the life span of the company. Meowsold2 (talk) 19:39, 31 October 2022 (UTC)
- Hi, Wikipedia is an Encyclopedia not a platform for people to write about their companies. All new articles on Wikipedia have to show the subject is notable (See WP:N) which in most cases requires significant coverage (WP:SIGCOV) in multiple independent (WP:INDY) reliable sources (WP:RS). Regards KylieTastic (talk) 20:08, 31 October 2022 (UTC)
- I apologize Kylie, but I am not writing about my company, I am writing about a technology company that exists and provides essential services in the United States. This includes free services for fundraising events for 501c3's.
- Per your website "A list of the notable services your organization provides might be appropriate, such a list should only include those that are necessary to adequately describe the organization."
- In addition, and encyclopedia definition...
- "a book or set of books giving information on many subjects or on many aspects of one subject and typically arranged alphabetically."
- Therefore we should in fact include a notable company operating, especially if it is an interesting company. In addition we are in multiple independent articles like pitchfork media, and local.
- Please check references before you assume, that we are trying to advertise. I will report your reply, as it did come off as bias. Meowsold2 (talk) 20:21, 31 October 2022 (UTC)
- Your failure to provide a viable draft that sufficiently indicates why the subject is notable, despite the numerous pieces of advice given to you at the help desk, is not indicative of bias on the part of the reviewer. --Kinu t/c 21:17, 31 October 2022 (UTC)

Your username
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "Meowsold2", may not comply with our username policy. Please note that you may not use a username that represents the name of a company, group, organization, product, service, or website. Examples of usernames that are not allowed include "XYZ Company", "MyWidgetsUSA.com", and "Foobar Museum of Art". However, you are permitted to use a username that contains such a name if it identifies you individually (not your role), such as "Sara Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87", but not "SEO Manager at XYZ Company".
Please also note that Wikipedia does not allow accounts to be shared by multiple people and that you may not advocate for or promote any company, group, organization, product, service, or website, regardless of your username. Please also read our paid editing policy and our conflict of interest guideline. If you are a single individual and are willing to contribute to Wikipedia in an unbiased manner, please request a change of username by completing the form at Special:GlobalRenameRequest, choosing a username that complies with our username policy. Alternatively, you can just create a new account and use that for editing. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. Thank you. 331dot (talk) 20:35, 31 October 2022 (UTC)
If Meowsold is not your company, then you need to change your username as described. However, you use "we are in" above. So which is it? 331dot (talk) 21:02, 31 October 2022 (UTC)
- I submitted for username change...? This is also not a shared account. As described username was used as a fan, a.k.a enthusiast. I did not know that there was even a rule like this. In addition, as explained, English is my second language. Therefore this was nothing more than error. Meowsold2 (talk) 22:15, 31 October 2022 (UTC)
You have one more chance to respond to this inquiry before I take action. 331dot (talk) 21:14, 31 October 2022 (UTC)
Paid editing
[edit] As previously advised, your edits give the impression you have a financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. You were asked to cease editing until you responded by either stating that you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits, or by complying with the mandatory requirements under the Wikimedia Terms of Use that you disclose your employer, client and affiliation. Again, you can post such a disclosure on your user page at User:Meowsold2, and the template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Meowsold2|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. Please respond before making any other edits to Wikipedia. Theroadislong (talk) 21:20, 31 October 2022 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Meowsold (Company)
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Draft:Meowsold (Company), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. [edit]You may request a change of username and unblock if you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization. To do this, first search Special:CentralAuth for available usernames that comply with the username policy. Once you have found an acceptable username, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}}
at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. In your reasons, you must:
- Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement.
- Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
- Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
{{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. 331dot (talk) 21:24, 31 October 2022 (UTC)There are places you can tell the world about your company(after initially and poorly denying it was your company), but this isn't one of them. As you have been told, we are interested in what independent reliable sources say about a topic, not what it or its customers say about it. 331dot (talk) 21:26, 31 October 2022 (UTC)
- Dear 331. As mentioned previously meowsold.com is not my company, and you continue to push and accuse of something unreasonable even right now. English is my second language by the way, therefore not everything I write is perfect, but there's no need to discriminate against someone that tried to enter something based on facts into wikipedia. I wanted to start a wiki page for this company as proved by national recognition article that raised a non profit $3,000. Company is doing good in our community, unfortunately I was intentionally accused, and verbally degraded as lying that I own this company. There was no form of advertising, All the facts stated were provided from sources based on this company, to justify what was said in the short description. Therefore this needs to be further discussed with your legal team, since you are deleting facts, and written articles that have been photographed and saved. A discussion with your legal team is needed, why it's appropriate for reviewers to degrade first time posters, accuse them based on their personal opinions...and now removing my account because I was stating facts of bias behavior, because they selected a username that seemed some way.
- I apologize if I come off mean, but this is about justice now. And all your actions need to be justified. Meowsold2 (talk) 22:04, 31 October 2022 (UTC)
Your recent edits to User talk:Meowsold2 could give Wikipedia contributors the impression that you may consider legal or other "off-wiki" action against them, or against Wikipedia itself. Please note that making such threats on Wikipedia is strictly prohibited under Wikipedia's policies on legal threats and civility. Users who make such threats may be blocked. If you have a dispute with the content of any page on Wikipedia, please follow the proper channels for dispute resolution. Please be sure to comment on content, not contributors, and where possible make specific suggestions for changes supported by reliable independent sources and focusing especially on verifiable errors of fact. Talk page access revoked
[edit]I warned you that you were not permitted to edit this page while your legal threat was outstanding. As you have chosen to ignore this warning, I'm afraid I have had to revoke your access to this talk page. Once your legal action is resolved or if you unconditionally withdraw your legal threat, but for no other reason, you may use WP:UTRS to request your talk page access be reinstated so you can make an unblock request. -- Yamla (talk) 22:17, 31 October 2022 (UTC)
