An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Download Accelerator Plus. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Download Accelerator Plus. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:16, 1 April 2010 (UTC)

The article Mohamed Mohy has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Waterfox ~talk~ 22:41, 6 December 2010 (UTC)

Hi, again. I am afraid that I didn't understand your request. The Arabic equivalent of en:Bachir Gemayel is ar:بشير الجميّل. Bachir=بشير (first name) and Gemayel=الجميّل (last name). --Meno25 06:41, 8 февраля 2011 (UTC)
This is a question about IPA. For example: Midan Tahrir IPA: [meˈdæːn el-, ettæħˈɾiːɾ]. I've asked about this ' symbol. Where it's necessary in Bachir Gemayel? Kobac (talk) 07:00, 8 February 2011 (UTC)
Sorry but I can't write IPA. Please consider consulting another Arabic speaking user. Best wishes. --Meno25 07:06, 8 февраля 2011 (UTC)

Hi Meno, I was intrigued to see that you rated this article as a stub. What else would I need to do to get it to start level in your view (which I thought was where it was already)? As part of the DYK process it has already been checked, as no article can appear at DYK if they are still a stub. Cheers, Mikenorton (talk) 09:05, 18 February 2011 (UTC)

The article WAMA (band) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

A7 -- notability

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Epeefleche (talk) 20:37, 17 May 2011 (UTC)

Arabic

Hi Meno, I noticed your rating on Ali Salem. I wonder if I could ask you as an Arabic speaker to make two quick additions: first, could you add his name in Arabic script? Second, could you check the Arabic wiki to see if there's a corresponding article there? This one's about to head to the main page via Did You Know, and I'm sorry to say I'm absolutely helpless with non-Roman scripts. Cheers! Khazar (talk) 15:16, 1 June 2011 (UTC)

Done for the two requests. Best wishes. --Meno25 (talk) 15:20, 1 June 2011 (UTC)
Thanks! If you have another moment, new articles Muhammad Al-Saqr and Al-Qabas are also heading to the front page and could also use transliteration/interwiki-ing. But those are the last for now, I think. I really appreciate the help. Cheers again, Khazar (talk) 15:29, 1 June 2011 (UTC)
Done, again. Thanks. --Meno25 (talk) 15:38, 1 June 2011 (UTC)
You're a prince--thanks again. Khazar (talk) 15:39, 1 June 2011 (UTC)
Another Arabic language issue that I can't seem to solve. Muhammad Al-Saqr received a merge tag suggesting a merge with Mohammed Al-Sager, also a Kuwaiti MP. However, Al-Sager's article identifies him as a banker, and Al-Saqr's as a journalist; are these the same person? I can't find any sources that clearly connect the two, but I can't find anything to prove them separate, either. (All the links are dead at Al-Sager, which doesn't help, either.) Could you do an Arabic-language Google search and see if you can clear up if these are the same or separate people? I'm assuming they are the same, but I want to be sure before merging. Thanks as always for your help!Khazar (talk) 14:26, 8 June 2011 (UTC)
Hi. As far as I can tell, they are the same person. Cheers. --Meno25 (talk) 15:14, 8 June 2011 (UTC)
Thanks. I'll start on the merge today or tomorrow--cheers, Khazar (talk) 15:17, 8 June 2011 (UTC)

Thank you for your message. I am usually writing a lot on the French version of wikipedia. I often try to clear false equivalences between English and French articles (e.g.: currently both Western music (North America) and Vaudeville from the English language wikipedia are associated with French language counterparts whose meaning doesn't match). Translating is not sufficient because English articles often implicitly refer to events that are well known by American or Canadian citizens but that French people are not aware of at all, so I have to rewrite and complete them a little bit. I can read and somewhat write English, French and Italian, so if you need any help on some topic that appear into the French language or Italian language wikipedia don't hesitate to forward me the questions. I am skilled into European and American history, European regional languages, computing, systems engineering, mandolin and ... bluegrass music. --Leznodc (talk) 00:36, 5 July 2011 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Kom El-Deka, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

Essentially no content

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Gerardw (talk) 01:31, 28 July 2011 (UTC)

Status and Advice

That's not a reason for speedy deletion, so , as reviewing administrator, I didn't delete it. But you do really need to add some more content, and a reference. Neighborhood articles are, in my experience, rather difficult to show notability, and the stronger the references, the better. DGG ( talk ) 04:05, 28 July 2011 (UTC)

What's the point behind Wikipedia if one can't edit/delete misleading facts?

Hi Meno25, I would like to seek your help regarding the fact that some things in Wikipedia remain unchanged even if they were wrong, a good example would be the Gaza-Israel conflict section in the 2000s article, here's a quote from that section: "The intense urban warfare in densely populated Gaza and the intensified Hamas rocket attacks towards populated Israeli civilian targets lead to a high toll on both sides and among civilians"!! Its not even grammatically sound! And yet when I try to change it, it gets changed back to what it was. Is there a procedure or some paperwork that I have to go through in order to be able to contribute in Wikipedia? Excuse my tone my friend, but its a little frustrating you see. I'm under the impression that you're an administrator here so I think you can do something about it. --Modi mode (talk) 07:19, 26 December 2011 (UTC)

Hi, Modi. I don't usually engage in editing disputes like this. Try filing a request in the talk page. Cheers. --Meno25 (talk) 11:39, 15 January 2012 (UTC)

I was wondering if you could give you opinion on the picture nomination to be a featured picture. -- The Egyptian Liberal (talk) 13:27, 25 January 2012 (UTC)

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Mohamed Mohy requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Epeefleche (talk) 06:24, 27 January 2012 (UTC)

Redirects to userpages for staff

May I ask why you've done those? A lot of those are active staff who might use their user talk pages... you might consider reverting those who are active staff. Philippe Beaudette, Wikimedia Foundation (talk) 07:00, 1 March 2012 (UTC)

There's NOTHING wrong with a red link. Please don't do that... let active contributors choose how they want it to be. It seems like a silly way to use your time. Philippe Beaudette, Wikimedia Foundation (talk) 07:05, 1 March 2012 (UTC)

hey

Just wondering - and not that it bothers me - but what's the purpose of all the talk page redirects you should created? You did manage to hit on a couple that are now double redirects to meta, which may be worth changing to single redirects - though I doubt any of the talk pages you hit will get very much traffic. (It might also be a better idea to redirect wmfoffice's talk page to philippe's talk page, though I'm not sure on that.) Kevin (kgorman-ucb) (talk) 07:02, 1 March 2012 (UTC)
