Hi Meetexplorers. Welcome to Wikipedia. Im a little concerned that all your edits across WP relate to only this one topic- suggesting to me you might have a conflict of interest. Please reassure me thats not the case. I have however deleted your addition to European exploration of Australia until evidence of Loncke's trek can be provided, as an example of exploration, from a reliable third party source. Thanks for the email to me outlining your interest in Louis-Philippe Loncke, User: Meetexplorers. Im not sure where to respond really, or whether you were expecting me to email you in return. I chose this talk page and the one associated with Loncke, as so far, this seems your only area of interest. Anyway, I think its likely others would be interested in some of your comments, and I suggest you put them on this talk page. Thank you for your constructive comments and sorry we didn't reply earlier. We are also new to wikipedia and didn't get what was the user page to discuss subjects. Loncke is currently in expedition but we managed to find references for the added 2011 expedition. We'll do that soon. If you read what's above, we'd like to remove the box on his page as we consider everything on the page is proven by links except a few neutral facts we asked him about his childhood. These parts were removed by other users. Hard to prove and in fact we care about today and the accomplishments.

Also, we've been on other adventurers pages to have a look and we are satisfied with our work as we believe there's a good structure and not many adjectives and links. We try to provide external references. We won't here mention about who we also met and where the page is just a brief summary of TV shows the adventurer has been seen on. We found even small PR company owner having their own pages and just linking to their client and own site. We do not want to correct things unless the creator or subject of the page sees our work (in the future?) and wants us to review it.

Answers: European exploration of Australia It all depends on what is exploration. Early days it involved large budgets and many men to explore new ground. Nowadays universities do not have budgets to send numerous scientists to the field. The Simpson desert being very remote even for 4WD, solo or duo expeditions are better, cheaper and more efficient. Loncke has over a 1000 of shots from the Simpson of ground unseen before as he traveled in on a North-South axis while mainly all other explorers traveled on a West-East axis as camels have to last that long whitout drinking. Thanks. However, why do you keep writing "we"!!? The question asked by myself and another editor remains unanswered. You'll have to work hard to convince wikipedia editors that you are not the subject of the article, writing about himself!

Sorry - I really can't follow the point you are making in para 2 above.

Hello there. Here is LP Loncke. I'm now taken over the work of friend and adventurer Jeremy. As mentioned on the presentation page of Meetexplorers, we were 4. My personal page was created my Jeremy and last year we decided next to work on Brigitte Muir, which I have been doing during the past 3 months with reviewing the documentary about her life and several mail exchanges. We were 4 and there's only me left: Jeremy got married and will become father in July (married with Lydie another of the '4 We') and Cameron (last person) is too busy with writing his books and trying to fly to the atmosphere. Now, I (LPL) am not really aware of all rules in Wikipedia but do understand the concern about interest conflict. I also just logged found of someone blocked the account for the reason that we were 4. Well, now we are surely not 4 anymore. I will take over all work about the explorers we would like to add in wikipedia. Next is Brigitte, and this summer I will work on Christian Clot. But the 4 of us will review the text before adding. I'm now trying to get the account unblocked but very hard to find the information and not able to contact the person who blocked.

@Nickm57 --> Does that answer your question? FYI: I met a guy at a friend's place (Peter17) in November 2011. We talked and he said he wanted to do my page in FR and add a photo. That was done but we haven't met since for him to take a photo of me.

What we mean is that most pages about recent/living adventurers are made by their PR company. We found numerous pages full of information with adjectives like "greatest blabla expedition". We do not want that.Reason why my page was discussed for weeks before Jeremy posted it last year.

Now for Brigitte and my relationship to her: I met her twice and there's I have no reason to doubt the facts she gave me about her expeditions. She was never alone and she emailed me some photos of the mountains she climbed. Hard to lie when you're not alone. Also it took time as she is traveling and I really asked info of the mountains she failed to summit to know how high she got and why she failed. I believe it is correct and interesting for the readers. As first Australian woman on Everest, I believe she's got a place in wikipedia.

@Nickm57 --> European exploration of Australia: I would like to understand with more details why the crossing of the Simpson I did cannot be on that page ? Is it because you want to keep it to exploration before 1950, like before satellite photos shown us the Simpson from the sky ? or because more relevant for dead explorers ? or perhaps you don't consider the crossing as exploration ? What about Ted Colson then ? My journey just uses a different mean of transport, I have covered ground never seen before and provided photos for example to the Kalamurina Wildlife Sanctuary. Don't take me wrong on this, I perfectly understand that my expedition is less exploration than all other explorations mentioned on the page. The most important is the benefit wikipedia can provide: it it helps someone interested by old/modern exploration of Australia and find me to ask questions, then I can answer his/her questions. I do receive about 4-5 mails per year of people who found me (don't ask me how or where) and ask me questions about cart building or desert crossing. I even contributed to a book to help as the most rewarding reason why i do expeditions is to be able to share great moments with likedminded people.

So conclusion is: LPL will from now be the only user of the account Meetexplorers. I'm happy to share the last email between me and Jeremy to show he's too busy to continue (he even wrote to me he has no time to write to me but will try to find time in the next few days)

Thankyou for acknowledging who you are and alerting me to your successful request for unblock. However, you still need to understand Wikipedia policies to do with Wikipedia:Conflict of interest. Basically, you can't write about yourself and your exploits on Wikipedia. Set up your own webpage if you wish to do this.

The page on European Exploration of Australia is primarily about pre-Federation explorers, before Australia achieved nationhood, and appropriately ends in the 1950s, coinciding with the beginnings of self determination for Aboriginal Australians as well as the introduction of numerous technological changes (such as aerial photography and mapping). The notion of European exploration of Australia in the 21st century, is, frankly, quite archaic. The talk page of that article is the appropriate place to discuss this further. The FFR mentions 272 km but that's because in the town of Luc, they use a new shorter route and not the original route (still possible as I did it last week), you can see the FFR has in fact seveal adaptations.
