I'm an engineer with a passion for TECH, PRIVACY LAWS (job) and anything related to exploration, adventure and scientific expeditions. In 2005 I started doing expeditions myself, a friend (who is a very active wikipedian) created my wikipedia page in FR and I have translated it in EN. I maintain myself the pages about myself in EN and FR. Over the years I met people who wanted to create or helped with translation my page in other languages. In recent years I started to see my page translated by other people like in Arabic.
During my early years as wikipedian, I had done my page in NL as well (Flemish NL) but a wikipedian from the Netherlands decided I was promoting myself on wikipedia for "managament consulting", whichis plain ridiculous as if he had checked wikipedia, he would have seen I was an employee and I don't talk about management on my page but about my expeditions that have gained recognition from the community of adventurers and explorers. My NL page was then deleted. A few years later, someone recreated it as I got more into the news in the Flanders. Still, as a Flemish myself, I'd like my NL wikipedia page to be complete like the FR and EN but I've to wait until someone decides my page is worthy to be completed I guess. For now (sept 2022), I don't want to risk adapting my NL page as I'm pretty sure the guy from the Netherlands is watching. A pity that instead of contributing and adding information proved (other langauges but also in NL), he would prefer deleting the page instead of discussing or checking facts. I say that because a friend a few years ago added a lot of info on my NL page and the guy and others just deleted most of the content.
On top of exploration, when I read a page or can correct, I would correct any other page. Like when I heard about the new JPEG XS, I decided to create the page.
