Hello, Mdbaurle. Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions! I'm Crtew, one of the other editors here, and I hope you decide to stay and help contribute to this amazing repository of knowledge.

There are many ways you can contribute to Wikipedia. Here are a few ideas:
  Fight vandalism
Be a WikiFairy or a WikiGnome
  Help contribute to articles

  Perform maintenance tasks
Become a member of a project that interests you
  Help design new templates

Remember to always sign your posts on talk pages. You can do this either by clicking on the button on the edit toolbar or by typing four tildes (~~~~) at the end of your post. This will automatically insert your signature, a link to this (your talk) page, and a timestamp.

The best way to learn about something is to experience it. Explore, learn, contribute, and don't forget to have some fun!
To get some practice editing you can use a sandbox. You can create your own private sandbox for use any time. Perfect for working on bigger projects. Then for easy access in the future, you can put {{My sandbox}} on your user page. Seeing as you haven't created a user page yet, simply click here to start it.

Keep going!

[edit]

Ok Mdbaurle, You're on your way. I like the BBC article because it shows "Significant Coverage" in the international media. You're being a little too selective though right now. Keep on going. What about the other world press freedom organizations? What about other English speaking news? What about foreign news? Do one more search and paste the URLs in the format set out on your user page before running the Reflinks tool or using Lexis-Nexis. Crtew (talk) 03:11, 3 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Don't forget the RSF! Crtew (talk) 03:08, 6 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Keep searching

[edit]

Mdbaurle, You need to keep searching for more sources before you start your sandbox page. Look at the video I put on our course site becuase I used your person as an example. He has other spellings. So search for Isa and NTA or some other variation that captures the varieties of "Zakariya". Crtew (talk) 22:06, 13 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Lead

[edit]

For draft purposes your lead is alright, but you'll definitely revise it later to capture his importance. You'll get there! Try this: Explore the role of the "Boko Haram" on the safety of journalists in Nigeria. You can even construct a search based on this ("Boko Haram" "journalist" "isa" and then once more without "isa" in the search).Crtew (talk) 22:21, 13 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Done

[edit]

How can you be done when you have several blank sections? There is a cite for a reaction but no reaction. Who is te Boko Haram and what is going on in Nigeria for context? And why is Isa important for significance or impact?Crtew (talk) 02:39, 24 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
