Information icon Hi Md.Mahfujur Rahman Nisad! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at List of colleges in Bangladesh that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. Content that does not comply with this legal rule must be removed. For more information on this, see:

Not minor edits, and always cite reliable sources

Request reason:

A bot has blocked my Wifi IP address for using VPN. But I haven’t use any vpn or 3rd Party app. Today is the day when my block should be removed but I see they add again January 7,2024 for the expiry date. But Why? Help me to get unblocked.

Decline reason:

Procedural decline per below. — Daniel Case (talk) 07:24, 12 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

You'll need to copy in the {{unblock-auto}} template that was in the message you got when you tried to edit. Per the instructions in your request, try to edit WP:Sandbox, which should generate the block message in question. —C.Fred (talk) 02:18, 11 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Why is the time period of blocking increased? Will it increase again? Is there any problem to switch from wifi data to mobile data? They blocked my mobile data IP address too for September 7, 2024! Md.Mahfujur Rahman Nisad (talk) 13:09, 15 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Without the IP addresses in question, there isn't really anything we can do to help here.

My best guess is that you might be using internet-sharing ( often marketed as "anonymizing" apps) applications either intentionally, or as a result of malware. SQLQuery Me! 01:59, 18 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

What's wrong with Wikipedia blockings? It's unfair to increase the dates of blocking. 1st block expired on 12 December. They increased the date to 7 January 2024. Again This block will expire on 5 February 2024. The IP address or range is 103.155.118.217 This IP address has been blocked from editing Wikipedia. The IP address or range 103.155.118.217 has been blocked (disabled) by ‪ST47ProxyBot. The bot says reason of blocking:
The IP address that you are currently using has been blocked because it is believed to be used by a peer-to-peer proxy service. These services allow users to change their IP address by proxying their browsing traffic through another user's computer. As with any open or anonymizing proxy or VPN service, these IPs may be blocked from editing Wikipedia.
If you are using any service that changes your IP address, such as a proxy or VPN service, you will need to disable it in order to edit Wikipedia. Once you have disabled it, it is possible that you will still see a message stating that you are blocked. You may want to clear your browser's cache and/or cookies and refresh the page, in order to check whether you are still blocked. If you are still seeing this message even after disabling your proxy or VPN, clearing your cache, and deleting all cookies for this website, then your IP address has been detected as a proxy and it has been blocked directly. Unlike legitimate commercial VPN services, these peer-to-peer proxy services exploit their own users' network connections to proxy traffic for other users. These services are frequently advertised as "residential VPNs" or "IP changers", and they are too numerous for us to list here. You will need to fully remove these tools from your network, and then either request to be unblocked, or wait for the block to expire.
To help you identify whether this block is targeted at your home network, we have included the following information about the IP address or network targeted by this block. IP address: 103.155.118.217. Internet Service Provider: Race Online Ltd.. If you have not recently used any proxy, VPN, or IP changing service, it is possible that a previous customer who was assigned your IP address was running one of these services. More rarely, your network equipment or that of your service provider may be misconfigured or compromised by malicious software. For more information, see the WikiProject on Open Proxies. You may appeal this block by adding the following text on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Caught by an open proxy block but this host or IP is not an open proxy. My IP address is _______. Place any further information here. JBW (talk) 15:50, 2 February 2024 (UTC)}}. Please include the following information: * You must fill in the blank with your IP address for this block to be investigated. Your IP address can be determined here. * If you have turned off, closed, or uninstalled some type of proxy or IP changing software, please say so, and specify the exact program or service involved. This may expedite your request by allowing us to verify that the proxy is no longer open. Alternatively, if you wish to keep your IP address private you can use the unblock ticket request system. Administrators: The IP block exemption user right should only be applied to allow users to edit using an open or anonymizing proxies in exceptional circumstances, and they should usually be directed to the functionaries team via email. If you intend to give the IPBE user right, a CheckUser needs to take a look at the account. This can be requested most easily at SPI Quick Checkuser Requests. Unblocking an IP or IP range with this template is highly discouraged without at least contacting the blocking administrator. Most proxy check tools and services will give a false negative for this type of proxy, and if you unblock it, the proxy checking bots will not automatically re-block it, even if it is still an open proxy.[reply]
But I haven’t use any vpn or 3rd Party app. I only use Google Chrome for Wikipedia Editing! What's wrong with my WIFI IP Address & What's wrong with this bot? Why is it increasing expiry dates? Help me to get unblocked!Md.Mahfujur Rahman Nisad (talk) 01:16, 11 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Since you have returned to editing, I assume that you no longer need an unblock JBW (talk) 15:50, 2 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The reason why there is now a later date for the end of blocking than there was previously is that after the last block ended it was found that the IP address was still in use for a peer to peer proxy service. As long as the IP address is found to be involved in such a service it will continue to be reblocked. The IP address you gave is allocated to Race Online Limited, which provides a number of services, including some which use peer connections; are you sure you aren't using one of those services?
