Famousbirthdays.com as a source
Hi Mcampany. I noticed that you recently used famousbirthdays.com as a source for information in a biography article, Ikaika Alama-Francis. Please note that there is general consensus that famousbirthdays.com does not meet the reliable sourcing criteria for the inclusion of personal information in such articles. (See Wikipedia:Reliable_sources/Noticeboard/Archive_153#Is_famousbirthdays.com_a_reliable_source_for_personal_information). If you disagree, let's discuss it. Thanks. --Ronz (talk) 03:40, 12 July 2018 (UTC)

Invitation to participate in study
Hello,
I am E. Whittaker, I am working with Wikimedia’s Scoring Team to create a labeled dataset, and potentially a tool, to help editors deal with incivility when they encounter it on talk pages. A full write-up of the study can be found here: m:Research:Civil_Behavior_Interviews. We are currently recruiting editors to be interviewed about their experiences with incivility on talk pages. Would you be interested in being interviewed? I am contacting you because of your involvement in Wikipedia’s Women in Red project. The interviews should take ~1 hour, and will be conducted over BlueJeans (which does allow interviews to be recorded). If, so, please email me at ewhit@umich.edu in order to schedule an interview.
Thank you Ewitch51 (talk) 20:23, 26 July 2018 (UTC)
Hello, Mcampany. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Mayu Sagara, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:
- edit the page
- remove the text that looks like this:
{{proposed deletion/dated...}}
- save the page
Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

Mayu Sagara moved to draftspace
An article you recently created, Mayu Sagara, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. Please see my response on my talk page. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Hello, I'm Zackmann08. Thank you for your recent contributions to Ka Leo O Hawaii. I noticed that when you added the image to the infobox, you added it as a thumbnail. In the future, please do not use thumbnails when adding images to an infobox (see WP:INFOBOXIMAGE). What does this mean? Well in the infobox, when you specify the image you wish to use, instead of doing it like this:
|image=[[File:SomeImage.jpg|thumb|Some image caption]]
Instead just supply the name of the image. So in this case you can simply do:
|image=SomeImage.jpg
.
There will then be a separate parameter for the image caption such as |caption=Some image caption
. Please note that this is a generic form message I am leaving on your page because you recently added a thumbnail to an infobox. The specific parameters for the image and caption may be different for the infobox you are using! Please consult the Template page for the infobox being used to see better documentation. Thanks! Request at Manoa
Can you help me scan two thesis at UH Manoa? The first one will help me improve the articles on all the sixteen Hawaiian royal children especially the obscure ones. For the second, I just need pages 90 to the end since I have the first half from an earlier request on Wikipedia. Links are below with titles and author. Mahalo nui. If you can’t, I understand since it is a lot of pages.

- @KAVEBEAR: I was planning on dropping by UHM on 9/10. I can definitely scan 90 pages for you on Monday, but the other one might take a few trips since it's 300+ pages.Mcampany (talk) 00:31, 8 September 2018 (UTC)
- Ok understand. Thanks.KAVEBEAR (talk) 00:33, 8 September 2018 (UTC)
- @KAVEBEAR: Thought I'd give you an update. My meeting last week ran longer than expected so I didn't have as much time to scan as I thought. Will try again next week or the week after.Mcampany (talk) 22:31, 17 September 2018 (UTC)
- @KAVEBEAR: At long last, I got to the Nancy Sumner one. I put it in the same google drive folder as the "everything that is lovely" scans. Please let me know if you have trouble accessing it--I can e-mail you the link again. -Mcampany (talk) 04:10, 16 October 2018 (UTC)

ArbCom 2018 election voter message
Hello, Mcampany. Voting in the 2018 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 3 December. All users who registered an account before Sunday, 28 October 2018, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Thursday, 1 November 2018 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2018 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 19 November 2018 (UTC)
