This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Playing Catch with Destiny, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://playingcatchwithdestiny.com/.
It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.
If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) CorenSearchBot (talk) 22:50, 27 April 2014 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Playing Catch with Destiny
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Playing Catch with Destiny, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. 123chess456 (talk) 22:57, 27 April 2014 (UTC)
- You may not use the text from the book's website as an article. Not only is the text too promotional to be used, but it is also a copyright violation. —C.Fred (talk) 23:19, 27 April 2014 (UTC)

Do not create copyright violations
[edit]Your addition to Playing Catch with Destiny has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. If you are the copyright holder, please read Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for more information on uploading your material to Wikipedia. For legal reasons, Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted text, or images borrowed from other websites, or printed material without a verifiable license; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of content, such as sentences or images—you must write using your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. —C.Fred (talk) 23:29, 27 April 2014 (UTC)
A suggestion
[edit]Having this article continually re-created and deleted helps no-one. If, after carefully considering all the reasons for deletion, you really think there should be an article on your book in Wikipedia, I suggest that you redraft it carefully and then submit it via the Articles for Creation process. However, there are plenty of other useful things you can do here if you want to help. For instance you could have a look at Category:Communication disorders or Category:Attention disorders and see if you could improve any of the existing articles there (without advertising, of course!) Hope this helps, —SMALLJIM 23:32, 27 April 2014 (UTC)

- The bot is not confused; the material is copied so heavily from the Amazon blurb and the book's website that the current version of the text is unacceptable on Wikipedia. If you think it warrants an article, you must write the article from scratch, using your own words. —C.Fred (talk) 23:36, 27 April 2014 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, Mbruback. If you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.
All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.
If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:
- Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
- Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
- Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.
Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.
For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. —SMALLJIM 23:38, 27 April 2014 (UTC)
Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to introduce inappropriate pages to Wikipedia, as you did at Playing catch with destiny, you may be blocked from editing. If you need guidance on how to create appropriate pages, try using the Article Wizard. —C.Fred (talk) 23:38, 27 April 2014 (UTC)
