Deletion of Zak Salmon

[edit]

The article was deleted under the criteria for speedy deletion - no debate is required. I noted "A7: No indication that the article may meet guidelines for inclusion: Biography, does not meet WP:NN, no refs" I quote criterion A7 in full here:

An article about a real person, an organization (e.g. band, club, company, etc., except schools), or web content that does not indicate why its subject is important or significant. This is distinct from verifiability and reliability of sources, and is a lower standard than notability. This criterion applies only to articles about web content and to articles about people and organizations themselves, not to articles about their books, albums, software and so on. The criterion does not apply to any article that makes any credible claim of significance or importance even if the claim is not supported by a reliable source. If the claim's credibility is unclear, you can improve the article yourself, propose deletion, or list the article at articles for deletion.

Are you requesting the deleted content? What do you propose to do with it? Ruhrfisch ><>°° 02:14, 25 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think it meets the criteria, because it rather obviously stated why the subject was important or significant. And furthermore, I wish to use the code to create a page off of my own page as I have read I can do. Mattshank (talk) 02:30, 25 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please see the notability guidelines at WP:NN. Please also see WP:NOT - Wikipedia is not a social networking site / Facebook / place to write article on your friends. If you do not like my deletion, you can report me at WP:AN/I. Make a subpage and I will put the deleted article there. You have a week to prove it is notable or I will nominate it for deletion. Ruhrfisch ><>°° 02:54, 25 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Make a subpage of your user page (like User:Mattshank/Zak) and let me know, and I will paste the deleted content there for a week, if you still want it. Ruhrfisch ><>°° 21:50, 26 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image (Image:Centralmountainhigh.jpg)

[edit]
⚠

Thanks for uploading Image:Centralmountainhigh.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk) 01:27, 8 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
