Speedy deletion of Dorchester collection

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Dorchester collection requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company or corporation, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for companies and corporations.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Bongomatic 10:20, 18 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Coworth park

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Coworth park, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

status

[edit]

As reviewing administrator, I consider that the present article is merely advertising, & I deleted it. There is no reason why you could not try again, with a sourced article on the estate. I suggest you write it out in full first, including the sources, before you enter it on Wikipedia--this will decrease the chance of immediate deletion. Please first read see our FAQ about businesses, other organisations, and articles like this, and also see our |guide to writing Wikipedia articles . DGG (talk) 12:02, 6 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please would you add references to Coworth House. Kittybrewster 13:16, 15 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You're Speedy deletion request for Pearce Kelleher

[edit]

Hey just to let you know that you tagged this page for speedy deletion, but you did it wrong! (your edit) So I corrected it. (my edit)

However, an administrator reviewed the request and did not delete it, and left a message on my talk page explaining why. Thanks! Best regards, Captain n00dle T/C 22:07, 24 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Pearce Kelleher

[edit]

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Pearce Kelleher. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Pearce Kelleher. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:07, 13 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome; new information

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. When you add new information to articles, you need to also add a citation to the source where you got the information. For example, if I want to add information about a sports event, I can cite a news article about the event. It would look like this: At the Olympic Games today, the Irish lacrosse team beat the Canadian lacrosse team by a score of 6 to 2.<ref>Smith, John. ''LaCrosse: Ireland Beats Canada 6 to 2", ''The Times'', 23 May 2011, p. 12</ref> See WP:V and WP:Reliable sources. Here is some information about how to cite sources: WP:CITE. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
