Copyright problem
[edit]Hello. In October, another user detected copyright problems with the article Seven Seas (company). As the problem was in content you had added, you should have been notified at that time, but it seems that you were not. It seems that you copied and pasted the contents of [1] into that page. This content has had to be removed. Unfortunately, we cannot copy extensively from copyrighted sources, but must put the information that we take from them into our own words, except in brief excerpts, clearly marked with quotation marks. Please review Wikipedia:Copy-paste, which includes a bit more information on how to use material from sources and how to identify which sources may be freely copied. If you have any questions about this, please feel free to stop by my talk page. I'll be happy to explain further. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 00:58, 1 January 2013 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free media (File:Blue Diamond Logo 2012.png)
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Blue Diamond Logo 2012.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:20, 6 January 2013 (UTC)

5a-c boxes
[edit]Hello,
I noticed you'd added lots of boxes to all the school articles in Bristol, detailing their percentages achieving 5a-c across the past few years. I think that the info could be better represented using prose in line with wikipedia's style manual and the good and featured articles in wikischools. the only relevant article I do much on is St mary redcliffe so will only be chinging that one, but will try to retain as much of the info as possible.
Happy editing. Thought I'd let you know — Preceding unsigned comment added by Xyphoid (talk • contribs) 18:41, 7 February 2013 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for April 3
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Buses in Bristol, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Clutton, Old Market and Portishead (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

[edit]Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to ATR (aircraft manufacturer) may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry, just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

Template:Infobox UK school
[edit]Hello! I noted from the history that you have worked on Template:Infobox UK school, and I have a thought/request I would like to get your opinion on.
The website
parameter is currently being placed inside {{URL|}}, which works fine if the editor passes a bare url to the template. Many (most?) other {{infobox school}}
templates prefer to receive the parameter after being passed through {{URL|}}, but if an editor tries that with this template they receive unexpected results. I don't know what impact (if any) one method has on the hCard output when compared to the other, but if it is possible to standardise this parameter that would seem preferable.
Personally, I think that if there is some method of checking to see if the URL template was already applied before re-applying that would be best. If the template has not been applied, only then should it be applied. This would be better than the method used in the other templates, as they depend on the editor using {{URL}}.
I have started a thread at the template talk page regarding this as well. Thanks! --Tgeairn (talk) 18:52, 13 September 2013 (UTC)
- Update - It looks like Frietjes implemented this. --Tgeairn (talk) 19:23, 13 September 2013 (UTC)
Hi. I've been doing a lot of work on the Bristol Parkway article, and am going to nominate it for GA. I was wondering, as you have been a frequent editor of it, if there was anything you wanted to add before I nominate it. -mattbuck (Talk) 19:39, 29 September 2013 (UTC)
