Speedy deletion nomination of Olga Prokopova
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Olga Prokopova, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Atlantic306 (talk) 23:46, 3 April 2017 (UTC)

[edit]Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
- Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
- With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.
This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Speedy deletion nomination of Olga Prokopova
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Olga Prokopova requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://www.volhajewelry.com/info/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.
A tag has been placed on Olga Prokopova, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may be soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
- It seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. (See section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.
- It appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), individual animal, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. (See section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

The article Olga Prokopova has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. A tag has been placed on Olga Prokopova requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

- I do not use advertising. I want translat the article Olga Prokopova and put the appropriate templates. There are already authoritative sources, and I can prove the
notability - Marino Asler (talk) 15:15, 1 May 2017 (UTC)
- What kind of rule did I violate, if I acted, according to the instructions for the translation? - Marino Asler (talk) 15:17, 1 May 2017 (UTC)
- What steps should I take to translate and restore the article? - Marino Asler (talk) 15:23, 1 May 2017 (UTC)
- Unless you have new references, you can't. The article was deleted by consensus of the community, at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Olga Prokopova. The references were found to be inadequate here. Please note that each project sets its own rules for what makes an appropriate article subject, and this one has been decided to be inappropriate here. The fact that it exists on the Russian Wikipedia has no bearing on that at all. You may want to select a different article to translate instead, or do some work on existing articles to gain experience with the English Wikipedia and its practices. Seraphimblade Talk to me 18:56, 1 May 2017 (UTC)
- I have new links. I have secondary sources. Marino Asler (talk) 15:10, 2 May 2017 (UTC)
- I would have edited other articles for a long time, but so far with this article I do not understand what's wrong. I'm just not allowed to edit Wikipedia. Marino Asler (talk) 15:16, 2 May 2017 (UTC)
- Marino Asler, you seem to be confused by the value of sources. "Authoritative" sources are irrelevant to notability of a subject. significant coverage is required from those sources, and that coverage must be independent of the subject (that is, not interviews). All through the deletion discussion, you failed to provide multiple sources giving significant independent coverage of Olga Prokopova. The standards for inclusion on the English Wikipedia are probably stricter than on the Russian Wikipedia. Unless you have new sources showing significant coverage, Olga Prokovova can not have an article on the English Wikipedia. ~Anachronist (talk) 06:47, 2 May 2017 (UTC)
- I have new sources. Marino Asler (talk) 15:10, 2 May 2017 (UTC)
- What are they? Any evidence supporting restoration should be presented to the deleting administrator. ~Anachronist (talk) 16:43, 2 May 2017 (UTC)
- Basically in the Russian section of Wikipedia. There are also secondary sources and articles in authoritative journals. Marino Asler (talk) 16:45, 5 May 2017 (UTC)
- You will need to present evidence of significant coverage to the deleting administrator, then, even if the sources are in Russian. Google Translate actually does a good job translating Russian to English. ~Anachronist (talk) 20:31, 5 May 2017 (UTC)

The article Criminal tradition has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- No evidence of any notability. Also includes very close paraphrasing from Criminology Theory: Selected Classic Readings see here
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Velella Velella Talk 19:11, 9 May 2017 (UTC)
- You can check the notability using scholar.google.com. Marino Asler (talk) 19:22, 9 May 2017 (UTC)
- @Velella: Tell me please, what's wrong with the article? Why do you consider it not notability? Marino Asler (talk) 18:37, 10 May 2017 (UTC)
This help request has been answered. If you need more help, you can , contact the responding user(s) directly on their user talk page, or consider visiting the Teahouse. |
- Hello. My article was PROD by Velella as not Notibility. In addition to the fact that I do not agree with the Velella's actions, for objective reasons many authoritative sources speak about the notability of the topic. How can I draw participants to the page that was PROD? - Marino Asler (talk) 16:04, 11 May 2017 (UTC)
- If you read the notice that was placed on the top of that page, you will see this: "You may remove this message if you improve the article or otherwise object to deletion for any reason." To contest a Proposed Deletion, all that is necessary is to edit the article and remove everything at the top of the page between the curly braces. That is, what is between {{Proposed deletion/......}}. fair warning, though: it may still be deleted through another process. Eggishorn (talk) (contrib) 16:52, 11 May 2017 (UTC)
- That is, when I improve the article, can I delete the template myself? Or who should do it? Marino Asler (talk) 17:18, 11 May 2017 (UTC)
