Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. An article you recently created, Golden Buckeye, has been tagged for speedy deletion because its content is clearly written to promote a company, product, or service. This article may have been deleted by the time you see this message. Please keep in mind that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not an advertising service. Thank you. Thank you. I hope that the edits I've made convince the admins that the article is worthy. It is not advertising anything since it refers to a government program that people get without having to apply for it. Mapcat 08:16, 8 December 2006 (UTC)
Edits look good. I removed all of my original objections. Thanks for being patient with my neurosis. Turlo Lomon 10:05, 8 December 2006 (UTC)
re your email
[edit]Hello Mapcat. There's no record of a page ever existing called Earl Pitts Uhmerkiun. There was, however, a page called Earl Pitts Uhmerikun (note the spelling) ... usually, you need to provide the correct spelling but I figured it out from a quick google search. The page was deleted under speedy criteria a7, which relates to articles about people or groups that fail to assert why they are notable. I would suggest that the character is not notable, but the radio presenter, Gary Burbank, is probably a lot more so. As there's no article on him, perhaps it would be better to start that first you can include the information on the character in that. I have put what was deleted below this message, you could use some or all of it as a section for the Gary Burbank article. Regards, Proto::► 10:08, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
Proto--thanks. I agree with your assessment and am working on a Gary Burbank article now. Thanks for including what I'd written so I can incorporate it into the new article. Mapcat 22:43, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
RE:Your comment on my talk page concerning Category:Indian international schools
[edit]I see what you mean. I seem to remember having recategorized them because of something on the WP:CFD page, and seeing as Category:International schools in India seems to be no more I must be remembering correctly. However, as you said the recategorization request must have gotten the destination category wrong, as these articles really belong in the category for the country whose curriculum they use. Some of them are now in both categories. This didn't really affect that many articles so I think I'll go fix them now. If you want to help go ahead.--Dycedarg ж 05:26, 10 February 2007 (UTC)

We have 132 members, many of which are not active within the project. If you are listed there and still received this message please accept the auotmated porcess's apologies. Proposing deletion for the article titled Bumbu (cuisine)
[edit]The article Bumbu (cuisine) has been proposed for deletion. The proposed-deletion notice added to the article should explain why.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
