Fair use rationale for Image:You_Must_Be_Joking!.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:You_Must_Be_Joking!.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ShakespeareFan00 18:00, 21 June 2007 (UTC)
Greetings from a fellow Zimbabwean part 19:10, 26 July 2007 (UTC)
Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Wikiproject zimbabwe, by Blake3522 (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Wikiproject zimbabwe fits the criteria for speedy deletion for the following reason:
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Wikiproject zimbabwe, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. --Android Mouse Bot 2 10:27, 27 July 2007 (UTC)

Harnessing Wikipedia
Don't mention it you fully deserve it. I have an idea - Zimbabwe is in trouble and we cannot just watch our screens. I believe Wikipedia has grown to the extent that it can cut across the complexities that exist. Is it feasible to harness the collective power of Wikipedians from all over the world to find a solution? This was the original intention, of people working harmoniously even though separated by huge distances, colour, religion, etc. Part 12:22, 28 August 2007 (UTC)

Arthur Mutambara
Fys and Africa Festival are revert warring on Arthur Mutambara. I'm not sure who's right/wrong - they disagree on how to present the split within the MDC. Perspicacite 13:40, 17 September 2007 (UTC)
This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of National Anthem of Zimbabwe, and it appears to be very similar to another wikipedia page: Simudzai Mureza wedu WeZimbabwe. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case.
This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot 16:18, 18 September 2007 (UTC)

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that recently you carried out a copy and paste page move. Please do not move articles by copying and pasting them because it splits the article's history, which is needed for attribution and is helpful in many other ways. In most cases, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. If there is an article that you cannot move yourself by this process, follow the instructions at Wikipedia:Requested moves. Also, if there are any other articles that you copied and pasted, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you. — madman bum and angel 17:12, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
Salisbury and MDC
I concede consensus is against me on the Salisbury issue - I've dropped it. Regarding the MDC's split, there seems to be no end in sight to the endless edit warring between Africa Festival and Fys which has now spread to several pages. How do you think we should proceed here - admins? Perspicacite 19:45, 21 September 2007 (UTC)

I didn't delete that material, I moved it; to the article on Tsvangiri, where that level of detail seemed more appropriate than in an article on the overall history of Zimbabwe. Noel (talk) 22:55, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
Edit summaries
Hi Mangwanani, could I ask you to use edit summaries for your edits, even if you're just adding or changing stub notices? Edits like this turn up on a lot of watchlists, and it's always nice to be able to see from the edit summary what happened and whether it's worth taking a look. Hey, I just saw the Zimbabwe-GA failed again. That's too bad. Don't worry though, with a little more work it will be there. I've been doing some work on History of Zimbabwe and the 80s section is looking better but the 90s are still lacking. When you get a chance, please add to it. Mugabe
Hi, Just so you know, I reverted your last edit to Robert Mugabe. You had added a fact template to a bit of text an anonymous user added here.[1] I looked at his/her contributions and he/she does not look like a vandal, but the text is arguably critical of Mugabe and therefore requires a source under WP:BLP. I tried to find a source for this, but was unable to, and thus removed the text. Regards, Jose João 21:14, 4 December 2007 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free media (Image:Bulawayo Coat of Arms.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Bulawayo Coat of Arms.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot (talk) 20:47, 15 December 2007 (UTC)

G'day Mangwanani, I have a few issues with the second matabele war page and I am not sure what to do about it. There are a lot of figures bandied about that I have never seen in any other reference. Do you have any info/references on the event that could shed some light on the page's facts? regards joemacnz````
