Why the period two hours before dawn is called Brahmamuhurtha?
Brahman is in two aspects. They are dual Brahman and Non-dual Brahman. Dual Brahman is formful and Non-dual Brahman is formless or Nirgun Brahman (Sanskrit). Muhurtha is time. During that period Saints and Yogis establish themselves in their yogic pose, facing the North and chant OMKAR and meditate on Brahman. During that period the aspect of Brahman is prevalent in the atmosphere. As a result, the entire atmosphere in the same direction is charged with powrful electro-magnetic-intelligent carriers what generally we call spiritual vibrations. Aspirants are advised to sit in the same direction and meditate on their deity or Omkara Brahman. With this their minds are spiritually linked in those powerful vibrations of OMKAR. The result is they get communion with the Yogis and Saints spiritually through those subtle power full vibrations; and their minds freely float and get merged in that peace and serene atmosphere; they receive blessings and also guidance. Aspirants who follow this will quickly evolve in their Sadhana or practice. Brahmic vibrations flow from North to South during that time hence it is called Brahmamuhurtha.

Law of Karma

“What one meets in one’s life is his destiny (Prarabdha); how he meets is his self-effort (Purushartha”). Few gentlemen asked me to enlighten on the above subject. Their doubt is “most of our problems are ascribed to our karma. How true is this? Whether those who commit wrong will have to pay for it in the next birth?” answer is YES. Written through Hindu perspectives. Hindu Vedanta has made significant contributions to the humanity, and the richest among them being the Law of Karma. The ancient Sages did extensive research to find the cause of the human sufferings. They found the exact reason for it. It is a law based on their findings that cover the fast, present and the future. This is called Law of Karma. This is most prominent law among the Laws of the nature and no one can escape from its hold. It is a general misunderstanding about the Law of Karma among many hasty readers. They think that the Law of Karma is a mere Law of Destiny. They think it is an ineffectual theory dealing with one’s past experiences in life. The declarations of our ancient sages regarding the law of Karma should be properly gone through with adequate analysis. The present analysis of it should clear the zigzag puzzle and reveal its true meaning. Man is what he is because of his past actions. We call any one a man of chastity and dignity if his experiences from the time of his birth to the present moment are found to be pure and noble. If, on the contrary, his experiences are vicious and immoral he is known to the world to those qualities. To tell this in short, man is a product of his own past actions or Karma. This is the law of destiny. From this one can infer that man is a mere victim of his past actions over which he has no control. The Law of Karma is a vital force in the Vedantic lore that enables man to be spirited and dynamic to reach the goal of human existence. There are three types in karma, which play a vital role in human life. They are, Prarabdha, Sanchita and Aagami karma. Prarabdha also called destiny is the product of the past and it is one aspect of the Law of Karma. Sanchita is an accumulated karma that is ready to take shape as Prarabdha. Man lives in the body as long as Prarabdha exists. It is the main principle behind the Prana. Without the existence of Prarabdha prana becomes inert though it is a vibrating force behind all animations. In other words it has no work on hand to animate the being. When man takes a new birth his earlier or past Sanchita come forward to act as Prarabdha and his Aagami is mechanically pushed a head to become Sanchita. Reader should carefully understand this. Do not jump to conclusions. This topic is a primary subject in Vedanta. The moment Prarabdha exhausts to the lost drop, body collapses. Sanchita automatically come forward to become Prarabdha and give shape to a new body. Prarabdha karma guides the Jeeva or sub-conscious mind to select a body and place of birth of its own choice. While consuming the Prarabdha, man aggrandizes new Karma that goes to the bag of Aagami. I repeat for clear understanding. Aagami becomes Sanchita, and Sanchita becomes Prarabdha. If man is ignorant he generates Aagami. This is called ‘The cycle of births and deaths’. If it is to say, man is influenced by his destiny (Prarabdha) which is also a day’s food for his mind, since his present status is caused by his past (previous birth). But, at the same time he is gifted with the capacity to choose his present action which is called self-effort or Purushartha. Throughout his life, he has been exercising this power in him and an aggregate of all his past self-efforts has determined his present destiny. It may also be said that the sum total of all his purushardha’s will be equal to his present destiny. Vedanta says, ‘what one meets in life is destiny’ and ‘how he meets it is self effort’. I give below in simple terms. Destiny (Prarabdha) tempered by self-effort (Purushartha) is the Law of Karma. Both destiny and self-effort are parts of Law of Karma. Some think that Law of Karma is equivalent to Law of destiny. It is not correct. Swamy Vivekananda says ‘You are the Master of your destiny’. Destiny is the fruit in one’s hand and he has to enjoy it since he is the master of it. What one meets an unexpected incident of pleasure or pain is his destiny; how he meets it is self-effort. In the present, he is victim of his past, but by doing self-effort in the present while enjoying the destiny, he is, at the same time the builder of his future—self effort is independent of destiny. At the same time self-effort will help to modify the destiny. THIS IS THE LAW OF KARMA. Whether those who commit wrong will have to pay for it in the next birth?” my answer is, why next birth? Sometimes he reaps its fruits in this very birth. Incarnation and birth are one and the same. Sanchita and Aagami can be sublimated while enjoying the Prarabdha. That we will see in next column. Further, all events in our day’s life are not due to Prarabdha. Very few fall upon us as destiny. Other than the destiny is Kriyamana Karma, action that we intentionally perform for our normal lively hood. One should not sit idle with a false notion thinking he cannot escape the destiny. Vedanta says to exert Purushartha keeping the faith on God. Viswamitra was a Kshatriya Raja but on account of His Tapas He became Brahma Rishi.

DO YOU LIKE TO CHANGE THE FUTURE OF YOUR LIFE THAT IS IN YOUR HAND? Written through the Hindu perspectives The Law-of-Karma part 2 I have explained the difference between the Law of Karma and the Destiny. In fact the Law of destiny forms one aspect of the Law of Karma and it does not contradict that Law. Man’s Destiny to-day either in the form of pleasure or pain is the result of his past actions. He has evidently NOW has no control over the things he has done in the past except to enjoy whatever comes to his hand in the form of Destiny or Prarabdha. Hence man is said to be a victim of his past. If someone says this is the end of man’s life then it is not so. Because the Law of Karma leads the Destiny, it is a step ahead of the Law of Destiny. It states that the future lies under the control of man since he is capable to regulate his self efforts (Purushartha) from now on. Thus, if he had chosen unlawfully, corruptly and maliciously the Path-of-pleasant in his earlier life, undoubtedly he has to suffer the consequences of it at this moment, but he may exercise his self-effort or Purushartha today in choosing the Path-of-the-good that combines with the past and makes his future better than what he has now on his hand. As a result, the future is a continuity of the past that is intelligently modified in the present. Therefore, hi man, introspect thoroughly; what you did to the society; what you are doing now and what you intend to do in future. KNOW YOU ARE THE MASTER OF YOUR DESTINY. If you do well you will be well. You have no control on your past deeds. But you are capable to change the oncoming destiny. Be wise. Act now intelligently. Time wheel is rotating fast. The time is slipping away from your hand. If you ignore now then you will not have any room to feel sorry except to enjoy your destiny. Dedicated to who are unlawful, immoral, horse traders, corrupted, rapists murderers and finally the back bones of all crimes.
