I am writing to appeal the indefinite block on my account due to violations of Wikipedia's policies on advertising/promotion and username representation. I understand and acknowledge the reasons for the block, and I would like to address and rectify these issues.

  1. Advertising/Promotion:
    • I understand that my previous contributions may have appeared promotional. This was not my intention, and I apologize for any misunderstanding. I have since reviewed Wikipedia's guidelines on neutral point of view and notability, and I am committed to adhering to these guidelines in all future edits.
    • I will focus on providing verifiable, neutral, and well-sourced content that aligns with Wikipedia’s standards.

  2. Username Policy Violation:

    • I fully understand the reason for my block, which was due to edits that appeared promotional and a username that suggested representation of a business. GPTZero has this as 100% AI and it certainly looks like a clear use of AI. Mama Money, if you'd like an admin to consider your unblock request seriously, the first thing to do is write the unblock request in your own words. Admins care about you understanding what you did wrong and expressing what you'd do differently if unblocked, not what text prediction algorithms say. @CoffeeCrumbs I am well where that I have written the draft with promotional intent after being blocked, but I am asking to be unblocked as I feel that is to harsh for being a first time writer on this platform. As I stated before this was not my intention, and I apologise for any misunderstanding I might have caused. I am not being paid to do this but add more context to this platform form my own free will. I am committed to providing verifiable, neutral, and well-sourced content that aligns with Wikipedia’s standards going forward. I will change the the username and will be using this username going forward: [M.M.Y]. I do use a lot of A.I in my articles and will also change that and will add more human written content to give more individual context and information. I fixed the chronological order of your edits. You need to add things to the bottom, not somewhere in the middle of the page.

It's only been two days since you filed your last request, and as this is a volunteer project, it can be hours, days, or weeks until someone officially actions your request. In addition, someone may review your request and simply not act on it if they find it unsuitable, which gives a chance for another admin to be convinced. Telling people that you are "still waiting" for your unblock request to be reviewed will not make an unblock quicker or more likely. If anything, it may lead to the opposite result.

As far as I can tell, you haven't done any of what was in Pickersgill-Cunliffe's response. You have not made a paid-contribution disclosure in line with WP:PAID or disclosed why your admitted "draft with promotional intent" is not paid editing (and you don't have to literally be paid for it to be paid editing). You have not explained what specifically is the problem with your edits and how/why you will avoid those problems in the future. You have not described generally what kind of constructive edits you would like to make in the future. You have not followed the specific instructions to request a change to your username. These were all things you needed to do for a successful unblock request, but you have not done any of them, which will typically result in your request being denied.

Being denied is a pretty big deal, so you want to try and avoid requests that will be easily rejected. If an administrator feels that you're repeatedly making unconstructive unblock requests, they have the ability to remove talk page access, meaning that you would then have to make your requests to WP:UTRS.CoffeeCrumbs (talk) 14:08, 23 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I am not being paid to do this, so I don't know how we can move forward from this but I promise to add more context to this platform from my own free will for this company in terms of my edits, I have read the WP:PAID guidelines and don't know where to disclose this information that I am not being paid? In terms of changing my edits I can't make edits since I am blocked from doing so. I see you finally opened up a request to change your name, but you left as your requested username "Your proposed new username" and the request reason as "Your reason here." I do not have authorization to consider your unblock request; I only wished to give you advice that would help you.     As I said, I don't think there's anything more I can do to provide assistance; please do not ping me in the future. But since you asked, the problem is that you still didn't follow any of the directions given. For a second time, you improperly posted a proposed username template without following the very simple directions given. I do not know if this is a language barrier issue or an issue of lack of carefulness or some other reasons, but if you don't follow simple directions, it's going to be difficult to get anyone to unblock you.     Thank you for not pinging me in the future. However, based on your request, I do not think you will be unblocked to write anything about Mama Money. You do not literally need to be paid in return for an article for it to violate WP:PAID. Between that and WP:COI, there are major problems with you editing anything about this company.   • The "reply" function is imperfect(it sometimes does not work when at the bottom). It's often better to click "edit" at the top of the page. If I don't do something that you guys deem right then you won't consider my unblocking and there are things here as you know that are broken.
