Speedy deletion nomination of Muzz Buzz
[edit]A tag has been placed on Muzz Buzz requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for organizations and companies.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Orphaned non-free image (File:Muzz buzz organisation logo.png)
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Muzz buzz organisation logo.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. FileBot (talk) 20:33, 22 August 2009 (UTC)
Proposed deletion of Dome Coffee Locations
[edit]The article Dome Coffee Locations has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Ironholds (talk) 09:27, 23 August 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for your comments. Do you think you might move your comments down to the section below where the consensus discussion is taking place so that they can be properly included? Thanks! Wildhartlivie (talk) 05:25, 4 November 2009 (UTC)

Saturday Night Live list of hosts and remarks
[edit]Hello Generic. I just wanted to send you a note thanking you for your starting a thread on this dilemma that CompFunk raised a few days ago. I am an occasional user. (I don't really feel the need to register fully) I was the one who reverted the edits, as as far as I could remember this is the way that the Seasons pages were handled (with remarks).
Anyhow I thought that users like JasonBres would get a bit upset at this, so I reverted and suggested he start a discussion before making such a huge edit. In fact I don't think he had even made any edits on that particular page until now. I couldn't reach him as I am not registered and his page is protected. So I am glad somebody started this discussion page. Thanks.
My view? I would say keep to some extent. I would say some info is cool and notable. Songs performed, special guests for example but when it gets to extraneous random facts, it gets too big. Although, I've seen other TV shows where they have had a main page, a list of episodes and then each individual season page with a synopsis, notes and guest stars. (If we get rid of the notes in the seasons pages, why do we need two lists of the episodes, in the same page?) Honestly, I am a bit confused when it comes to Wikipedia. I understand where you guys are coming from, but it is a bit confusing when I have seen this format for the past few years, and then somebody new comes along and opens up a whole new can of worms. (Though I do have to say that the example he gave as a reason for this was a list of every episode of the series, while what we are talking about are Season pages.) Anyhow, I just thought I 'd pinch in with my 2 cents.65.92.21.111 (talk) 18:43, 6 December 2009 (UTC)samusek2

[edit]You are very welcome - glad to help and to know that my comments were useful. I think everyone who sticks around here at some point looks at their early work and cringes a bit, seeing only what could be improved (I know I do). Take care, Ruhrfisch ><>°° 05:33, 8 December 2009 (UTC)

Please be aware that non-free images are only allowed in articles, not Wikiproject pages, article talk pages, etc.; see WP:NFCC criterion #9. If you want to use something like this for a Wikiproject banner, I would suggest making your own version with just the text "Saturday Night Live", but not the background. That could then be licensed {{PD-text}}. It can still be in the same font and layout, so the free image would be virtually the same as this non-free one. --dave pape (talk) 15:01, 15 December 2009 (UTC)

would greatly appreciate your help :)
[edit]Hi ! I am new to wiki so i hope I'm typing this in the right spot! I'm reaching out to other users for help. As I understand it, I need to track down an established wiki editor to help me rid the first article i've created ("Stone and Stone")of the ugly box that was posted on top "This article has multiple issues....".
I know exactly how these complaints came about. In my ignorance on how wiki works, I gave myself the same nickname as the subject I was writing on and then a whole drama ensued, as it was assumed that I was my subject and that I was writing an autobiography! In truth, I am a huge comedy fan and biographer and was dipping my toes for the first time in wikipedia waters!
Any help or solutions you could provide me when you get the chance would be greatly appreciated! This poor little article certainly doesn't deserve such an ugly heading box because of my wiki-ignorance! Thank you in advance for your time! Comedybiographer (talk) 10:32, 24 February 2011 (UTC)

SNL F-bomb?
[edit]Personally, I think having this section, with is very subjective, in the main article is a problem. Better to move it to a new page, where it can be elaborated on (like adding the "f-bomb" incident from a couple episodes back. (...) Who said it? It was a female cast member and she was fired, right? I've been trying to find out who it was --98.246.156.76 (talk) 22:12, 28 December 2013 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
