Mutiny of colours
[edit]Hi there. I see you are having a bit of trouble on Mutiny of colours. The important thing is to remember that the changes I am making, and that other people are probably going to make in future, are trying to help so please try to work with us and avoid putting things back as they were.
For example, not having header markup for the title of the article is standard Wikipedia style. If you look at other articles you will see that they all do it that way. In fact, I think it would be a good idea for you to find an existing good article about a similar subject and look at how that is done. It will help you see how we want the structure and style to be.
Also, it is clear that English is not your first language and the grammar of what you initially contributed was not perfect. That is OK. It was good enough that I could understand it and fix it. Please take care to not overwrite the improved grammar with the old grammar. You can still make changes but please add them to the new text without restoring the old version. This way people can gradually make the article better and better without going backwards.
I know the tags I added do not look very nice but they are only temporary. They tell people about what needs to be improved. They can be removed once we have categories, inline citations and the article is linked from others. See if you can address these issues before removing the tags.
I have added WikiProject Art to the talk page of the article. I hope that will attract other people who can help. --DanielRigal (talk) 13:13, 21 February 2015 (UTC)
I have now found a category to add: Category:Documentary films about graffiti so the "Uncategorised" tag is now gone. It would be good to get one or two more categories on it but this fulfils the basic requirement.
I think the next important thing to do is to add inline citations (using the "ref" tag) and to improve the referencing to use more reliable sources. That is necessary to make the article is completely safe from being deleted. The sources you have so far are connected to the people making the film. We can still use those but we need independent, reliable sources as well. --DanielRigal (talk) 13:22, 21 February 2015 (UTC)
Mahan khomamipor, you are invited to the Teahouse!
[edit]Hi Mahan khomamipor! Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia. Be our guest at the Teahouse! The Teahouse is a friendly space where new editors can ask questions about contributing to Wikipedia and get help from peers and experienced editors. I hope to see you there! Hi there - just a heads up that I have moved your recent question at the Teahouse from the bottom of the page to the top. Most talk pages require that new discussions be placed at the bottom of the page. At the Teahouse, however, new questions are placed at the top to maximize visibility. Removing AfD template
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles, or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates, as you did with Mutiny of Colours. Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. This is an automated message from a bot about this edit, where you removed the deletion template from an article before the deletion discussion was complete. Speedy deletion nomination of Mutiny of colours
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Mutiny of colours, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Recreating deleted articles
[edit]I've deleted the article for Mutiny of colours because ultimately I couldn't find anything to show that the new information would overturn the prior AfD. The sources on the articles had some issues with verifiability and the only truly good source I could find was a source in a German paper. I'm sorry, but right now I just can't see where the film would pass NFILM as a whole. You can try building up a version at WP:AfC and slowly trying to collect sources, but this is likely going to be something that will take a few years to really show notability since the film is still in the process of being made. - Hi Mahan,
- I think I can suggest a way forwards for you on Wikipedia.
- I'd like to point out that, while Mutiny of colours might not be notable as a film, it is still possible to write about street art in Iran on Wikipedia, so long as you adhere to our neutral point of view, reference it properly and don't overdo it. Maybe you can consider adding a short paragraph with reliable references about the scene in Iran, and the difficulties it faces, to the Street Art article. There is already a section for Asia. You don't want to add too much as this section needs to cover all of Asia without too much about any one country. (Note: Mutiny of colours is not itself a reliable source but maybe some of the sources it draws from could be, or maybe you can find alternative sources that are.)
- Please take care with this. Remember you are not here to promote the film or its makers but you can write about the same subject as the film covers.
