A tag has been placed on Protestant family requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from {{{value1}}}. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Deletion discussion about Cambridge Latin Course Book I

[edit]

Hello, Macaroniking,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Cambridge Latin Course Book I should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Cambridge Latin Course Book I .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

Thanks,

Why do you want to delete the page? There is no reason to!

--Macaroniking (talk) 16:01, 15 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

There is reason to, as it may not be quite notable enough to be in an encyclopedia. Sorry. J947(c) 19:16, 21 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The article Bedtime Rhymes has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable book. Searching for specific sources is rendered challenging by the title, but no sources appear to confirm more than the book's existence.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Odyssey release date

[edit]

Just wanted to explain the Odyssey situation since you and PresN keep going back and forth. Odyssey had its official unveiling in the middle of May at a press event, but it did not go on sale at that time. Over the next couple of months it was debuted regionally at a series of dealer roadshows, but again it was not available for purchase. September was the official release month, but it's possible a few units slipped out in August, as street dates as we think of them today did not exist back then. William Beale Jacob moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, William Beale Jacob, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please follow the prompts on the Articles for Creation template atop the page. ... discospinster talk 18:07, 22 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The article Hallbjörg Bjarnadóttir has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Orphan article. No real claim of notability. The discography suggests only 3 singles and the two references are very thin. One is primarily about somebody else and the other only has a couple of paragraphs to which this article bears a suspicious resemblance. (It is not enough for a speedy delete as copyvio though.)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Blank Banshee 0, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Pacific State (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Blank Banshee 0. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Septrillion (talk) 13:33, 9 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I know, I'm sorry. It's just that these other people keep getting rid of information that I have added about samples used in vaporwave. I believe it should remain, as Wikipedia is supposed to be a place of knowledge, and people wanting to find out where the samples come from may come to Wikipedia to find out. I have painstakingly added these samples so that others, like me, may find out where the samples come from. However, these people with nothing better to do, came along and started removing them alone. What they are doing is pretty much blatant vandalism. I appreciate that they believe that are doing something right, but they should stop. --Macaroniking (talk) 13:36, 9 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to Wikipedia. This means that editors do not own articles, including ones they create, and should respect the work of their fellow contributors. Your recent editing history at Blank Banshee 0 shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Septrillion (talk) 14:23, 9 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I understand this, but these people who are reverting my edits are completely unreasonable. They won't accept a single piece of my edits! --Macaroniking (talk) 14:25, 9 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Edit conflict: As an uninvolved editor, I'd like to point out that if you don't stop being uncivil to your fellow Wikipedians, you are going to get blocked. Furthermore, both of you involved in that edit war are going to get blocked if you don't cease and take it to the talk page. PCHS-NJROTC (Messages)Have a blessed day. 14:27, 9 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I think reverting my edits is pretty uncivil.

--Macaroniking (talk) 14:29, 9 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

With all due respect, reverting does not fall under WP:UNCIVIL. Calling people a "cheeky fool," however, is covered by that policy. Please understand I am trying to help you so you don't get blocked; I am not scolding you. PCHS-NJROTC (Messages)Have a blessed day. 14:30, 9 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:BabyPrinceLouisOfCambridge.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:BabyPrinceLouisOfCambridge.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.
