Editing my comments

[edit]

What gives you the right to edit my comments at Talk:List of CW affiliates? You can't untruthfully change what other people say in a talk page. --CFIF (talk to me) 12:03, 10 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Umm, sorry. That was an error. I had no idea what you were talking about until I went and looked on my computer. It appears I accidentally pasted something into the talk page! It was a keyboard error, and has been fixed. Sorry again! MPWard 05:50, 13 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I looked again, and the problem seems to be the actual URL of the talk page pasted in the middle of one of CFIF's sentences. Indeed, in mid-WORD! This is obviously not an intentional error on my part (why in the world would anyone do that? There's no content to it, for one...). I also have no idea how it'd even be possible for me to accidentally do it, as I can't figure out why the full URL of the CW Network affiliates talk page would be in my browser's buffer, let alone be pasted in mid-article by itself. No matter, again, it was not intentional, again. MPWard 06:00, 13 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
As noted on CFIF's talk page, it appears to be a Firefox bug/feature which I have actually seen before (just not in Wikipedia!). I will be watchful for it and do my best to make sure it doesn't happen again. After this, I feel like I should walk on eggshells here, frankly! MPWard 06:07, 13 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Question

[edit]

You seem to have so much information about SportsTime Ohio are you affliliated with them in any way? --Josh 05:42, 31 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Nope. I watch local media issues closely, but am not affiliated with any broadcast or cable operation at this time. MPWard 05:48, 31 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Question: The article on Tim Conway states he lives in Gallatin,TN. Is that true? Thanks.

I have no idea. I only added the stuff about him being a Cleveland-area native since I live in Northeast Ohio... MPWard 04:29, 20 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Beth Ann McBride

[edit]

Hello, I'll be watching this article. If he posts vandalism again, I'll have him blocked. Thank you for your time, please feel free to ask any questions you may have. Matthew Yeager 03:37, 26 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you, Matthew. There is one other anon IP who has also vandalized this article, likely for the same personal reasons, in the past two days. Appreciated! MPWard 03:39, 26 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'll be watching everything that goes on with the page for you. By the way, work on improving the article so it stays around! Add more information and be sure to cite it as well. Currently, the article is in poor condition. Hopefully with the vandalisms at an end you will be able to improve this article. Please keep me posted with how the improvement is going and if you need any further help. Matthew Yeager 03:41, 26 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Keeping the article alive

[edit]

Alright, some basic things that need improvement, as i feel this article is on the borderline as an article that warrants deletion due to how short it is and the information presented. i want to help you keep this, so lets look at some things we can improve on.

  • A picture, this would greatly help the article in adding value to it. example: Don Geronimo
  • Background life information, when and where she was born, who here parents are\were.
  • CITE THE MATERIAL!!! citing may be the difference from the article staying and going... currently with no references it appears that none of this is fact. citations help prove its fact and will also help other editors (like me) come along and help you out because now there is a source.

If you could get a picture up and cite all the information here, the article would take a HUGE step in the right direction. After that, I'll look through and try to format it \ add some more information.

Let me know when you finish with the pic and citations. Matthew Yeager 17:48, 27 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Matthew...

We're kind of in a holding pattern right now. She's not currently on the air, and I don't know if there's a bio still available for her (like at her most recent station's site).

The information is factual, and much of it came from her former bios.

My biggest concern is removing the vandalism by occasional children with nothing better to do. Any further improvement/change would probably happen at her next stop... MPWard 02:07, 15 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello MPWard! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to insure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. if you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 437 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:
