Happy New Year

I send all my Wikipedia friends best wishes for 2020.

All discussions from last year have now been archived.

I have deleted the malformed AfD requests you made. I see, however, you reverted your own edit, so I don't know if you still want to go through with the AfD nomination. That said, let me tell you about WP:TWINKLE, if you are not familiar with it yet: it's a wonderful tool that makes it easy to perform a lot of tedious tasks. Best. Salvio giuliano, thank you for your rapid help. I misread the instructions, then made a mess of trying to correct my error. I shall now try to continue. LynwoodF (talk) 10:15, 6 September 2020 (UTC)
Don't worry. I don't know if it was clear, but you can nominate a page for deletion using Twinkle. The script takes care of the "technical" side of things, you just have to write a rationale for deletion. That said, regardless of the subject's wishes, it's not guaranteed that a BLP will be deleted; in these cases, WP:BLPREQUESTDELETE applies. As you can see, some weight is attached to the wishes of the subject of the article, but the page can still be kept regardless. Salvio 10:21, 6 September 2020 (UTC)
Thank you again. I had heard of Twinkle, but did not know what it was. LynwoodF (talk) 10:38, 6 September 2020 (UTC)

I want to talk about Experiences during World War II (1939–1945) Audrey Hepburn

Hi LynwoodF!!! I see confusion here. First World War began in 1914 and Second World War began in 1939. Could you see it again?? I think my revision didn't go wrong. THank you so much <3 ! I'm not good at English, If something goes wrong, please forgive me.Raspberry hepburn (talk) 04:02, 11 October 2020 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Raspberry hepburn (talkcontribs) 01:49, 11 October 2020 (UTC)

I replied at User talk:Raspberry hepburn. Johnuniq (talk) 04:17, 11 October 2020 (UTC)
Thank you, Johnuniq. I do wish people would read things more carefully. At least it makes a change from people trying to claim that she was Belgian or Dutch! LynwoodF (talk) 08:25, 11 October 2020 (UTC)

Use of materials

I am writing a piece about certain aspects of Surbiton local history. (I am the co-author of the book The Story of Tolworth). I do not know yet if I am going to publish this one. If I do, it will be a small-circulation (perhaps 50) self-published effort. I am covering a series of topics, one of which is Surbiton Park. I love your piece in Wikipedia; I always have. Rather than rewrite the topic, in this case I would like deliberately to quote the whole Wikipedia entry, credited to you. Whatever way I do, or do not, publish this thing, I will comply with Wikipedia CCA BY-SA conditions for the use of Wikipedia material, but I wanted to contact you, personally, about it. I would like to credit you by name for the work, if that is OK with you - please give me the name to use. ArbCom 2020 Elections voter message

Hello! Voting in the 2020 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 7 December 2020. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2020 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 02:30, 24 November 2020 (UTC)
