Your dispute resolution notice

[edit]

Hello CroGamer 1,

I have just seen your request for a mediator to act on the issue of the page about Tihomir Orešković. You described that a WP:3O didn't help. It is important to note that WP:DRN is not a place where a volunteer will act as judge, but rather as mediator. This also means that the compromises that are reached are non-binding. For that reason, I seriously doubt that we will be able to handle your issue, after all, the third opinion didn't help.

You could ask the question on the reliable sources noticeboard or make a request for comment. If you'd still like to start mediation, please let me know by replying to this message and pinging me by putting {{ping|MrClog}} in front of it.

Regards, MrClog (talk) 11:22, 16 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @MrClog:,
yes I know that this noticeboard is non-binding but I believe that an agreement could be reached if we had a permanent mediator. I think that a single comment from WP:3O wasn't enough to end the stalemate. Regarding your proposal to file this case to the reliable sources noticeboard, I don't find enough evidence that this source needs verification since the information was found on the official government website. Infobox officeholder talk

[edit]

I'm not sure what your concern about my not seeing/reading your comments is about. I did see and read the discussion above the point at which I commented. The manual threading/indenting of talk pages is unfortunately not very accurate. My response today identifies what I perceive as the difference between your position and mine. Am I missing something? Cheers. —[AlanM1(talk)]— 16:23, 2 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi AlanM1, sorry for the inconvenience again. The thread is a bit cluttered and for a new person/reader kind of hard to figure out the sequence of events. That raised my concerns a bit after reading your reply that day. CroGamer 1 (talk) 15:55, 3 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Croatian Air Force and Air Defence

[edit]

Warning icon You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Croatian Air Force and Air Defence. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. - FOX 52 (talk) 22:09, 26 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@FOX 52:, the policy you attached in your edit summary doesn't appear to have been broken but I'm willing to offer a compromise. To elaborate, I'm willing to move 2 photos to a different location on the article (even separate those two photos). Regards, LukeA1 (talk) 13:25, 27 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
In case you didn't catch it "Don't use images or galleries excessively" - but I've placed the Mil Mi-17 image back in the middle to reduce crowding. FOX 52 (talk) 13:31, 27 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I cached the guideline rule but it looks like I failed to noticed that you rearranged the images already haha. Excuse me again. LukeA1 (talk) 13:38, 27 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Your help desk question

[edit]

You have a response.— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 20:16, 31 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the heads-up Vchimpanzee. I have read the reply but it turned out to be much more complex than I anticipated. The idea I had was a small one and it isn't worth the trouble. LukeA1 (talk) 10:52, 1 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Unnecessary blank lines

[edit]

I reverted your edit to Croatia because adding a bunch of blank lines unnecessarily consumed vertical space in all browsers. There wasn't anything aesthetic about it. If you were trying to align a new section so that graphics from a previous section don't run into it, use the tag {{clear}} at the end of the section to reset the flow point in the browser's rendering. ~Anachronist (talk) 15:27, 2 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the input! Yes, I tried to allign it so that the previous section doesn't intervene with the next. Thank you for the tag! LukeA1 (talk) 06:14, 4 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
