Is my edit here wrong.--Vin09 (talk) 06:43, 1 April 2016 (UTC)
- Not sure - probably best to ask the editor who reverted the change. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 06:46, 1 April 2016 (UTC)
- There are such articles as told by the user on my talk. Thanks for responding.--Vin09 (talk) 07:08, 1 April 2016 (UTC)
Order
What order should we follow at ICC_World_Twenty20#Performance of teams. I've explained some points at User_talk:IgnorantArmies#ICC_World_Twenty20.23Performance_of_teams. If you can suggest which order to follow, as the win% or no. of matches first?--Vin09 (talk) 09:04, 1 April 2016 (UTC)

Just wrote about his HUGE win today, did you watch it??? Nail-biting stuff. Mattsnow81 (Talk) 18:14, 3 April 2016 (UTC)
- Yep, saw the ending while flicking between the cricket final today. Amazing stuff! Hopefully see all of the Pairs-Roubaix next weekend. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 18:39, 3 April 2016 (UTC)
- I follow him on Facebook but I think I'm going to stop doing that. I am getting tired of looking at the dude's hair. It's hell of the North time again? Have I missed it already? Drmies (talk) 02:25, 10 April 2016 (UTC)

- HERE!!! Sad for Sagan and Cancellara at PR. Did you see Sagan bunny-hop the bike of Cancellara as the latter crashed? Incredible lol. Unfortunately Sagan's best helpers, Bennatti, Gatto and Bodnar, are all injured. He really has a shit team. Anyway, it was a great race, I never predicted Hayman would win. He seemed shocked lol. - That bunny-hop was amazing! Yeah, Hayman couldn't quite believe it. I think they said he was a 800/1 shot at the start, haha! Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 08:52, 11 April 2016 (UTC)
- He should have been--destiny wanted Boonen to win. Sagan's bunny hop was amazing; he's really that good, isn't he. I think what was proven today is that mullets aren't winners. Lugnuts, are you going to address that Iran comment? I don't want to just be chatting about the weather and all. Drmies (talk) 01:56, 11 April 2016 (UTC)
- Address? It was on par with the Tour of Flanders. Maybe I should look for Homer's Ayatollah t-shirt next time. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 08:51, 11 April 2016 (UTC)
- @Drmies: It was all game over when Cancellara crashed. I too would have loved to see Boonen win out of that group. Did you see the embarassing crash in the velodrome? Poor Cancellara. It really wasn't his day. And weather-wise, snow is predicted today in Quebec and that is not even a joke. Can't wait to ride! Mattsnow81 (Talk) 22:23, 11 April 2016 (UTC)

Hi Lugnuts.
Thanks for the pointer. You learn something everyday. But I do think it streteches the bounds of notability. C'est la vie!

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Kunal Lal, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Ghaziabad. April 2016
Your recent editing history at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Reactions to the 2016 Brussels bombings (2nd nomination) shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. .During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. Mike V • Talk 13:08, 14 April 2016 (UTC)

Request reason:
@Mike V: I was warned about this six or seven hours ago, and per this (soon after) I said I'd stay away (which I have). I said the nom was being WP:POINTY with there nomination so soon after the closing of the previous discussion, which other editors at the AfD have stated too. My comments were then being edited/removed by the nom in question, who has a history of doing this and has been warned several times before not to do that. Thanks. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 13:17, 14 April 2016 (UTC)
Decline reason:
Procedural decline only as you are no longer blocked. Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 21:22, 15 April 2016 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
- You were warned above at 6:58 to stop and acknowledged the message a minute later. However, you continued to engage in the same behavior four minutes later. In addition, you continued to make personal attacks towards the other individual. If you have a concern about the individual editing your comments, edit warring with him is not the way to go. Instead, you should continue that conversation on ANI or with other administrators. Another user's conduct should not influence your own behavior. Mike V • Talk 13:29, 14 April 2016 (UTC)
- I would have to say that in a passing observation, this block is not helping Wikpiedia, it is way after the event and is thus just punative rather than preventative. Nobody wants to bother with ANI, it's a dramapit from which little good comes. I would be happy to unblock assuming Lugnuts guarantees that he will not pursue the personality differences between him and the other editor via edit warring, i.e. be good. The Rambling Man (talk) 13:32, 14 April 2016 (UTC)
- @The Rambling Man: - Of course - consider the matter dropped. Thanks. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 13:34, 14 April 2016 (UTC)
- The edit warring was only a few hours ago, I don't think it's fair to call that way after the event. The block isn't punitive in any way, I'm not quite sure how you are drawing the conclusion. Looking at the Lungnut's block log, there is a concerning trend of blocks being issued and unblocks being made after promises to cease his edit warring or personal attacks. However, it's becoming clear that these promises are not being kept. Mike V • Talk 13:41, 14 April 2016 (UTC)
- @Mike V: in reply to your latest diff - I was referring to this (the "frivolous ANI cases") - Sorry, it was WP:AE, not ANI. If it's any help, that last block was a bad one (or "dodgy", in Ritchie's words). Thanks. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 13:47, 14 April 2016 (UTC)
- It doesn't matter if it was AE or ANI. In the diff you wrote, "You do have a long history of disruption, with frivolous ANI cases that you start when you don't get your way." I'm sorry, but I can't see that comment as constructive in any fashion. Mike V • Talk 14:07, 14 April 2016 (UTC)

- @Mike V: - fair enough. It was in the middle of heated discussion. Is that an excuse for doing that? No, of course not. It was frustrating having my AfD comments edited by another user, which has lead to this. I can only apologise. Thanks. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 14:11, 14 April 2016 (UTC)
- The block is punitive because it is not preventing any ongoing disruption. That ended hours ago. The Rambling Man (talk) 14:34, 14 April 2016 (UTC)
- There's still a present concern about Lugnuts's reoccurring behavior, particularly the persistent personal attacks and edit warring after being asked to stop. (As I've noted above) In the previous block discussion, Lugnuts was advised by others to be mindful of content disputes and I don't see any improvement in that behavior. I genuinely feel that this is not punitive. It's certainly not retaliation or meant to disparage. It's not punishing, as the block was reasonable (only 24 hours) and was issued as soon as I noticed the issue. If the issues occurred a week ago, I'd agree that a block would be inappropriate and a warning would suffice. As edit warring and personal attacks have been a persistent issue, the block addresses a current conduct issue of concern. As such, I would have to disagree with an unblock at this time. If you still feel that an unblock is in order, I think we should bring this to AN to get a wider array of input. Mike V • Talk 16:24, 14 April 2016 (UTC)
- That previous block you reference was a bad block by @Ritchie333: (please ask him). Thanks for spending your half-a-dozen daily edits here trying to address this and thanks to Rambles for sticking his neck out. It's clearly punitive, as the matter in hand ended hours before you showed up. Still, it's nearly tomorrow, so not to worry. Persistent? Getting angry to get six or seven blocks every 500,000 edits doesn't sound persistent. I wish others were as passionate about the project as a whole. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 16:40, 14 April 2016 (UTC)
- I was not referring to the block but the requests made by the other contributors. Huon stated, "As an aside, you should probably be a little more careful about what you revert as vandalism." Ritchie333 stated, "Still, as others have hinted at, mind your content disputes - when dealing with these issues, revert + template isn't too effective in getting the message across." Comments such as
"Thanks for spending your half-a-dozen daily edits here trying to address this ..."
are uncivil and highlights the exact behavior that concerns me. I would encourage you to reconsider the things you say to other users before you submit them. It's not beneficial to the project and is demeaning to our fellow contributors. I must warn you that continuing this behavior could lead to further warnings and/or blocks. Mike V • Talk 16:51, 14 April 2016 (UTC)- That was meant as a compliment! Obviously you'll disagree, as per the punitive block. Thanks for your help though. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 17:00, 14 April 2016 (UTC)

- While some of the early restorations were of content that could strictly be called a personal attack, the later were not. As such, the later reverts were restoring content that another user inappropriately edited out of Lugnut's signed comments. Given the circumstances, I don't think a block, especially one so late, was warranted.—Godsy(TALKCONT) 17:05, 14 April 2016 (UTC)
- Thanks Godsy, but Mike's made his mind up on the basis of a previous bad block (which I knew would be used against me at some point). The wolves are no doubt circling, but this will be over in a few hours and then I can get back to reverting a lot of BLP vandalism that I've just spotted on my watchlist. So I guess this punitive block is "beneficial to the project". Happy days. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 17:10, 14 April 2016 (UTC)
- Sorry Slugnut, it looks as though overturning Mike's punitive block would be considered wheel-warring so I'll have to leave it. I know you were not going to damage Wikipedia but Mike has other ideas. See you tomorrow, no hard feelings I hope? The Rambling Man (talk) 18:45, 14 April 2016 (UTC)
- Fair enough. Yeah, he's not going to admit it's punitive becauase, well, y'know. His daily 10 minutes of toil is for the good of the project, I guess. No hard feelings at all. Creation of a new page
Lugnuts please create a Wiki page on Indian umpire Anil Dandekar... He was involved in exchange program to South Africa and also involved in the ongoing IPL... A page needs to be created... Cricket246 (talk) 07:26, 18 April 2016 (UTC)
- @Cricket246: - has he stood in any IPL matches yet? Or any matches in India that are first-class or List A? Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 06:44, 18 April 2016 (UTC)
- Nevermind, I've found him. Give me a second to create him! Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 06:45, 18 April 2016 (UTC)
- Thanks for creating the page... And yes he has stood in first class and list A games... Also one more help I need is that if u can please change the heading of umpire Nand Kishore's page from Nand Kishore (cricketer, born 1970) to Nand Kishore (umpire)... Thanks... Cheers... Cricket246 (talk) 07:26, 18 April 2016 (UTC)
- That individual had a lengthy first-class career, so the current name is fine, and Nand Kishore (umpire) redirects there too. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 07:52, 18 April 2016 (UTC)
- That's fine then... Thanks... I wanted to ask about 1 more thing? Can't we add a photo of the 12 elite panel umpires in their respective Wikipedia pages? Then the top umpires' pages will be complete... Won't it be good? Cricket246 (talk) 15:46, 18 April 2016 (UTC)
- Photos would be great, but they have to be free images. I don't know too much about them and the only photos of real people I've ever added are ones I've taken myself. Maybe start a thread at WT:CRIC about getting more guidance on how to do this. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 17:59, 18 April 2016 (UTC)
- Having joined a few months back, I'm still relatively new to Wikipedia and other than editing pages and talk pages I'm not at all conversant about other things... I have no idea whatsoever on how to Start a thread or anything like that... I need lots of training and guidance from experienced members like you in these matters and I hope with time I can contribute even more to cricket related articles... Cricket246 (talk) 20:05, 18 April 2016 (UTC)
- Just do what you did on my talkpage - you started a new thread titled "Creation of a new page". Do something along the same lines, but asking for help with photos at WT:CRIC. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 06:57, 19 April 2016 (UTC)
A Olympian I found whose sports ref page on there does not go to them
I found Annemarie Bischofsberger on shortest bios-though her reference does not seem to go to her and it says "name not found" on her page. Wgolf (talk) 04:52, 18 April 2016 (UTC)
- Typo on the name. Sometimes the search on Sports Reference is a bit poor (to say the least), so you can navigate down to the country's participation at that games to find them. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 06:42, 18 April 2016 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Naveen Reddy
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Naveen Reddy requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. KgosarMyth (talk) 13:02, 24 April 2016 (UTC)

Hello. The actress Maisa Abd Elhadi asked me this week to create an article about her in enwiki. I wrote one in hewiki (*) a year and half ago. Unfortunatelly, I can't do this, because my English is not good enough, and I am able to make twelf mistakes in every sentence. What do you think about cooperation? Meaning, I translate the data using the translation tool, and then you convert it to readable article? Thank you in advance, IKhitron (talk) 12:52, 25 April 2016 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Aatif Ali
The article Aatif Ali has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Cricketer who has not played a first-class, list A or T20 match, and therefore fails WP:CRIN and also fails WP:GNG.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}

I've just gone back through on why I created this bio, and it was from the red link at New Zealand cricket team in England in 2015 in the List A tour match. The current scorecard has the correct player. Looking at webarchive, it shows this guy instead. Good spot! Thanks. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 11:55, 4 May 2016 (UTC)

Series of disruptive edits in the page of Chris Morris (cricketer)
Lugnuts, there has been a series of disruptive edits in the page Chris Morris (cricketer)... The earlier correct information have been tampered with and all the edits are Suspected as vandals... As there are too many edita it's a tad difficult for me to deal with the matter all by myself so I thought it might be wiser to ask for help from the more experienced members... I request you to take a look into this and make the reverts and corrective edits as necessary as the page has been terribly affected by a series of disruptive edits... Thanks... Cheers... Cricket246 (talk) 15:49, 28 April 2016 (UTC)
- Hi @Cricket246: - sorry, I've been away for a week, so I'm just catching up on things. This looks OK now, but let me know if you have any concerns. Thanks. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 11:57, 4 May 2016 (UTC)
- Hi Lugnuts... and yeah the page looks okay now... At present things are more or less alright... will let you know if any problem occurs... Thanks... cheers... Cricket246 (talk) 12:01, 4 May 2016 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Purbeck District Council election, 2016
The article Purbeck District Council election, 2016 has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Umpires for England vs Sri Lanka Test series
Today morning I had sent an email to the ICC enquiring about the umpiring appointments for the aforementioned series and they have sent me the details of the appointments via email... That's why I edited the page to make it more informative as I got verified and conclusive information from the ICC itself via email... My edits were not disruptive edits or vandalism I can assure you... Cricket246 (talk) 14:53, 8 May 2016 (UTC)
- @Cricket246: - unfortunately an email (even from the ICC) fails WP:V and isn't a reliable source on its own. I'm in no way saying your edits are disruptive, but we can only add what is verified from reliable sources. For cricket scorecards we mainly go with the Cricinfo scorecards as and when they're updated. There is no deadline, so there's no rush to put the info on the article yet. And the first Test isn't for another 11 days, so the umpires could change (sickness, family reasons, etc). Once the scorecards show them, we're good to go! @Lugnuts: Can you please explain to me the break in formatting and issue of hierarchy because of which PeeJay2K3 reverted my edits in Eng vs SL and Eng vs Pak pages? I want to know what hierarchy matter is all about.... Thanks... Cheerios... Cricket246 (talk) 16:45, 8 May 2016 (UTC)
- Probably best to raise that on the article's talkpage or on PeeJay's talkpage for an explanation. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 16:47, 8 May 2016 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) @Cricket246: First of all, you don't need to ping Lugnuts on his own talk page. Second, please look at this. Look at the table of contents. Do you not notice anything odd regarding the "England" and "Ireland" sections? They should not be the same level as the other headers, they should be the top-level headers, under which all of the other headers come. That's why I keep reverting you. – PeeJay 19:03, 8 May 2016 (UTC)
@PeeJay2K3: Firstly I'm relatively new to Wikipedia and not yet familiar with the various conventions that's why I pinged Lugnuts and I don't think it matters that much but still I'll definitely keep it in mind the next time... Anyway secondly I just wanted to clear out my confusions on the matter... I didn't wish to put up an argument as u are a much more experienced editor than me hence you are correct and your edits should stay anyway... I just wanted to understand where my edits went wrong as I wanted to rectify my mistakes and contribute better to Wikipedia... I posted earlier in your talk page but I didn't get any reply that's why I asked Lugnuts today... I never intended to fight or argue on this, just wanted to know where I erred in order to improve my editing... Anyway that's fine... No hard feelings... I have understood the explanation... Thanks for it... Fair enough reverts... U are more experienced than me so obviously you know things a lot better... I'll definitely stick to the protocols from the next time... I'm neither your enemy nor was I trying to oppos e you... I just wanted to learn the right thing... So I would say that maybe a bit more compassionate way/tone of speaking or explaining by you wouldn't have caused any harm... Anyway thanks mate... Cheers... Cricket246 (talk) 19:32, 8 May 2016 (UTC)
Cricket articles
Hello Lugnuts. I just want to appreciate your contributions for WP:CRIC. You are the major force to make me believe that this cricket project will be better one day than others e.g. baseball. We still have tens of thousands of cricket biographies missing. I trying my hard to make it better as ever. WP:Baseball has 65,000 total articles (including everything e.g categories, files and templates) and we have 36,500. I hope we will have that number up to 100,000 one day. GreenCricket (talk) 17:15, 8 May 2016 (UTC)
- Thanks for the kind words, GC! I've got plans to work through lots of missing biographies. I've made dents into many first-class lists from Test playing nations. I know others are doing their fair share too, so hopefully that 100,000 isn't too far away! Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 17:20, 8 May 2016 (UTC)
- Gentlemen, if both of you don't mind can I also join this Project? I would love to work on this and help Wikipedia... I'm a huge cricket lover and would love to contribute to it, be it here in Wikipedia or anywhere else... Cricket246 (talk) 00:00, 9 May 2016 (UTC)

- You could add your name to the list via this. I've not done it myself. Just being active in editing cricket-related articles makes you a member of the project by default. I focus on my areas of interest and keep a watch of the Project's talkpage. That's about it, really! There's no formal joining process for this (or any) project. You can always add the user boxes your user page if you wish. For example, on mine, you can see the ones for cricket, cycling and the Olympics. And the film one too. NZ sportspeople
Hi L - good to see so many new articles on New Zealand cricketers and other sportspeople - just a quick heads-up that I've just created Category:People from Ranfurly, New Zealand if you come across any more from that town, rather than having to lump them in with Category:People from Otago. Unreferenced record labels
I've been working on trying to clear Category:Articles lacking sources from November 2006, which are the pages that have been waiting longest for refs. There's a cluster of articles on record labels that you created many years ago. Do you remember what sources you were using for these? Regal Records (1920), Rex Records (1912), Imperial Records (1900) and Cardinal Records (1950s) are some examples. - SimonP (talk) 16:21, 16 May 2016 (UTC)
- Hi Simon. In a word - no. Most of these were created as they were all contained in one article (example). I did this in my very early days of creating articles. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 17:53, 16 May 2016 (UTC)
- I've sourced a couple of them. Every cite helps! Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 18:13, 16 May 2016 (UTC)
- Thanks. I'd hoped there was some directory you used for all of them that we could easily cite. If they came from a variety of sources that's more difficult. - SimonP (talk) 18:34, 16 May 2016 (UTC)
- I've sourced a couple of them. Every cite helps! Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 18:13, 16 May 2016 (UTC)
- @SimonP: - If you've got a list of them, feel free to post them here (ideally in one post), and I'll take a look at them over the next week. Again, in my defence, they were my very first attempts at article creation the best part of ten years ago! Hopefully some basic sourcing can't be too tricky for them. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 18:36, 16 May 2016 (UTC)
- Hi L and SP. @SimonP: my memory may be off a bit but I think the requirement for WP:RSs came in a little after (or right around) the time when Lugnuts was creating these articles. Kudos to you both for going back that far to update these articles. Cheers and happy editing. MarnetteD|Talk 18:50, 16 May 2016 (UTC)
- I also remember those more freewheeling days, and have even run into some articles I'd created in this referencing project. I've searched through and found the records labels that have been waiting many years for refs. They are listed below. It would be wonderful if some of them could be removed from the uncited list. I didn't check the creator so not all of them might be yours. - SimonP (talk) 19:09, 16 May 2016 (UTC)

England vs Sri Lanka 2016
Can we change the format of this page? It's just getting too clumsy... India at the Cannes Film Festival
I am not a sock. And what is your problem, when some one has created a exhausted work on Indian films which won awards, and which were screened at the cannes film festival ?. On the other hand, If you suspect some one as sockpuppet, why dont you edit the article? what is your problem and why ru attacking new editors recreating content from previous sock puppet. This article is very essential. So you tell me where we can provide this information in wikipedia about Indian films at cannes. Why are you against Indian cinema at cannes film festival ? You dont want to know which Indian films won awards at cannes? If you suspect a sockpuppet is creating the article, why dont you create a new article. what non sense is this? Hi L - just a quick query... is there any reason you're removing the space between stub templates and categories (like here)? I'm busy putting them in, you're busy taking them out. Edit War
Your recent editing history at Wikipedia:Stub shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war.
Mike V • Talk 18:43, 26 May 2016 (UTC)
- @Mike V: - BRD seems to be an essay, so McCandlish doesn't think that holds any weight. What are you thoughts on rewording guidance that's been static for more than 8 years without any consensus? Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 18:46, 26 May 2016 (UTC)
- I'd recommend opening an RfC and seeking additional comments in a neutral fashion. That might help in establishing a consensus. Mike V • Talk 19:18, 26 May 2016 (UTC)
Forever and ever Danny :-)
Thanks for this L. I'm afraid the backlog may well be a permanent logjam. I've been whittling away at the list since the beginning of April and (with the help of other editors though I don't know who) had gotten it from 121,000 down to 117,300. After a few weeks of seeing only a few new articles being added each day today the bot has added over 400. I know know exactly what this feels like. Cheers. MarnetteD|Talk 20:00, 26 May 2016 (UTC)
- Any time! I'm fully expecting someone to address the backlog by simply reverting that tag. That's how things work around here! Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 07:46, 27 May 2016 (UTC)
ESPNcricinfo scorecards
Lugnuts, can you please tell me how do you get the links of the ESPNcricinfo scorecards of the cricket matches to be held in Nov or Dec 2016? I went to the series home in Cricinfo website and clicked on the Scorecards but nothing came... But I have seen you are always so fluent in adding scorecards to recently announced fixtures with the accurate links... How do you manage to get those links? Please teach me the same... Thanks in advance... :) Cricket246 (talk) 20:01, 27 May 2016 (UTC)
- They're not always available as soon as the series is announced - it can be months after that. It's just a waiting game of when Cricinfo updates their pages. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 05:37, 28 May 2016 (UTC)
Oh, I get it... The Pakistan and South Africa tours of Australia 2016/17 Scorecards were updated quickly... Has the scorecards of the NZ home summer been updated? If updated, may I add those? Cricket246 (talk) 19:51, 28 May 2016 (UTC)

- Sorry @Cricket246: - just seen this. The articles were fine as first-time creations. Just a couple of points - remember to add all the appropriate categories and category sorting. Also, try not to include the "m." part in the web address from Cricinfo. This redirects to the mobile site, not the website. Look at my recent edits on Lakani Oala to give you some idea of the cleanup I mention. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 14:11, 31 May 2016 (UTC)
- @Lugnuts: Ok I got it now... Can you please help me out with the cleanup of Marais Erasmus and K. N. Ananthapadmanabhan as well??? I edited the place of birth but can u look at the m part in the link?? I added a few links there so would be good if you demonstrate it there once... It will be more clear to me in that way... Also another thing is that I have no idea at all about category and sorting... I need some guidance on that... Thanks... :) Cricket246 (talk) 22:11, 1 June 2016 (UTC)
Pakistani cricketers
Hello Lugnuts. Thanks for your contributions. I have seen many Pakistani cricketers lists and suggest you may work on the Pakistani cricketers biographies especially 'M' or Mohammad as first name here along with other work. Pakistani cricketers with Mohammed as first name has a long list and many potential dab pages. If this settles then we will have new cricket biographies much easier. Thanks a bundle. GreenCricket (talk) 13:48, 29 May 2016 (UTC)
- Thanks GC! Always a pleasure to get stuck in with this. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 13:53, 29 May 2016 (UTC)
Doubt
Difference between Vidarbha Cricket Association Ground and Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium. When will a ground be recognised as a stadium? With infrastructure? Could you check my new article at ACA-KDCA Cricket Ground naming?--Vin09 (talk) 07:41, 30 May 2016 (UTC)
- Ground and stadium synonymous in these cases. For example, Melbourne Cricket Ground is clearly a stadium (the opening line states this), but its name is "ground" (which is correct). Go with whatever the sources state. If the website for the venue calls it a ground or stadium, go with that in the first instance. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 08:31, 30 May 2016 (UTC)
I want to add something... VCA Ground was the old Stadium which was used earliet and it's called vca ground... the newly constructed Stadium which is used now has the name vca Stadium... It's just naming... Cricket246 (talk) 13:11, 30 May 2016 (UTC)
About cricket
Hi. I noticed that you edited the links I inserted in to the International cricket in 2016 page. I inserted the test, ODI and T20I matches played in each year and I is in all the other pages as well. I did not get, why you deleted it. Just explain. Thanks. Gihan Jayaweera (talk) 13:08, 1 June 2016 (UTC)
- Those templates don't link to the page itself, so they should not be on that page. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 07:40, 1 June 2016 (UTC)
- WP:BIDIRECTIONAL is the relevant page. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 07:43, 1 June 2016 (UTC)

Cardiff
The stadium is no more named Sophia Gardens... It's now the SSE SWALEC Stadium, Cardiff... Can you please verify this? Sophia Gardens was the old name...Thanks... Cricket246 (talk) 06:07, 2 June 2016 (UTC)
- I think SWALEC is the sponsorship name, so we tend not to use that. If in doubt, raise it on the stadium's talkpage. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 12:31, 2 June 2016 (UTC)
Ok I will have to find out more about it... Cricket246 (talk) 12:34, 2 June 2016 (UTC) Cricket246 (talk) 12:34, 2 June 2016 (UTC)
I need a bit of educatin'
Would you take a look at this and explain what's going on? When I did the Prvw, there wasn't a red link but the IP did something and now there is, but more important is the fact I don't know what he's doing or why. Apparently, that article has issues which caused the PC protection in the first place. Atsme📞📧 03:32, 6 June 2016 (UTC)

Portals
There is a possibility of writing a specific portal on French film. Would this be appropriate? It is necessary to have decade portals because films released during a decade are part of that decade's character. For example Ferris Bueller's Day Off is iconic of the 1980s. Delays
Hi Lugnuts... That was a significant 20 minutes play interruptions and so should be mentioned like we mention all the rain delays and bad light interruptions... This was a considerable delay so why not mention it? Cricket246 (talk) 17:57, 11 June 2016 (UTC)
Please have a say on this... Please share your opinion... If ok only then I'll keep it otherwise I'll remove it... Cricket246 (talk) 18:16, 11 June 2016 (UTC)
Umm ok.... I've removed it... Per the other matches Scorecard where such problems occurred before... So not worth mentioning as you said... :) Cricket246 (talk) 20:38, 11 June 2016 (UTC)
- Hi. As no play was lost (IE the overs weren't reduced, or run-chase targets adjusted), it doesn't seem worth noting. Obviously if it had an impact on the game (for example, no further play due to floodlight failure), then it should be noted. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 07:49, 12 June 2016 (UTC)
Yeah I removed it afterwards... Thanks... :) Cricket246 (talk) 11:19, 12 June 2016 (UTC)
Question
You undid my revision for Pieter Erasmus. However, is it proper to say that he is a 'former New Zealand?' I'm sure this is formatted wrong I don't know how to use talk. 75.151.5.228 (talk) 15:00, 13 June 2016 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Apollo Records (Belgium)
The article Apollo Records (Belgium) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- No evidence that this is a notable record label.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Ricky81682 (talk) 07:46, 14 June 2016 (UTC)
- @Ricky81682: - Thanks for this. Going to have to disagree with the prod, as there's quite a lengthy roster of notable artists (Aphex Twin and the awesome Cabaret Voltaire to name two). The former's album article mentions the record label several times too. Maybe AfD instead? Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 07:59, 14 June 2016 (UTC)
- I'm not certain that the artists being notable (and two albums, one with actual sources) makes the record company notable. -- Ricky81682 (talk) 23:13, 14 June 2016 (UTC)

Doubt about references and citations
Hi Lugnuts, can you tell me is there any special utility of adding a reference name (<ref name="...">) as I've seen that even without reference nameif we only use (<ref>) then also there is no syntax error ? So is the reference name compulsory? Or only mentioning <ref> is enough in biography articles? Thanks in advance! Cricket246 (talk) 14:33, 16 June 2016 (UTC)
- Hi. The "name" element isn't compulsory, but I use it all the time. It makes it easier to cite that ref again, if you use it elsewhere on the same article. Take a look at Sri Lankan cricket team in England and Ireland in 2016, for example. Ref #4 is used twice. It could be used many times in the article, and you can easily ref the same cite. I see it as future proofing, incase it's needed again. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 17:34, 16 June 2016 (UTC)
- Ok I get that... So if we are using one reference only for once in a particular article then the reference name has no particular utility? Cricket246 (talk) 21:54, 16 June 2016 (UTC)
Thanks for helping... Then I'm not including the reference name in case where I have used one reference only once... Cricket246 (talk) 14:26, 17 June 2016 (UTC) Cricket246 (talk) 14:26, 17 June 2016 (UTC)

Denesh Ramdin
Denesh Ramdin passed 2000 ODI runs in yesterday's match... Don't we need to mention that in the footnotes of the match? I remember we mentioned du Plessis reaching 3000 ODI runs so why not this one? Cricket246 (talk) 10:38, 22 June 2016 (UTC)
- Mainly because it was unsourced. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 11:19, 22 June 2016 (UTC)
But then we need to find a source... He clearly scored his 2000th run yesterday... Was clearly shown during the telecast... We should look to include that... Cricket246 (talk) 11:34, 22 June 2016 (UTC)
- Already done. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 11:35, 22 June 2016 (UTC)
Oh thanks... I saw you've added it afterwards... Thanks again... Cricket246 (talk) 11:36, 22 June 2016 (UTC)
By the way, Lugnuts, do we need to mention in the footnotes that Australia qualified for the Final as a result of this match? I think we do it in tournament pages, don't we? Cricket246 (talk) 11:42, 22 June 2016 (UTC)
- Well spotted - fixed. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 11:47, 22 June 2016 (UTC)
Thanks... Should the qualification note come first or should the points note come first in order in the footnotes section? Cricket246 (talk) 12:09, 22 June 2016 (UTC)
Hi @Lugnuts: please have a look at the above query and give your valuable suggestions... Thanks... :) Cricket246 (talk) 14:37, 24 June 2016 (UTC)
- It's not important, but points should go last. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 16:34, 24 June 2016 (UTC)
Ok so in today's match as well, when I edit I'll be putting Points at last and the qualification note just before points... Will that be fine? :) Cricket246 (talk) 16:37, 24 June 2016 (UTC)
@Lugnuts: Hi, can you please tell me what does ffs mean? I don't know about it.... Cricket246 (talk) 19:53, 24 June 2016 (UTC)
