Hello Adem20. You tagged "Alexander Gaalema" for speedy deletion, but you did not notify the article's creator that it had been so tagged. There is strong consensus that the creators of articles tagged for speedy deletion should be warned and that the person placing the tag has that responsibility. All of the major speedy deletion templates contain a pre-formatted warning for this purpose—just copy and paste to the creator's talk page. Thank you. AusLondonder (talk) 14:44, 1 February 2017 (UTC)

Adhere to Wikipedia rules
If you wish to edit any article it is part of the guideline that an author must indicate or provide an explanation of what action he had just carried out. Do follow due process next time so as to avoid strenuous activities & unnecessary complications that are likely to occur due to our negligence of the rules and regulations.
That being said, Do have you a wonderful day. Celestina007 (talk) 21:09, 2 February 2017 (UTC)
No, I'm trying to help the occasional editors. --Adem20 (talk) 07:41, 3 February 2017 (UTC)
- How does leaving an edit summary prevent you being helpful to occasional editors?
- Preferences → Editing → Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary

No, it does not prevent me, I can help the editors even without using edit summary. --Adem20 (talk) 12:13, 3 February 2017 (UTC)
Hi there! I very much appreciate your work patrolling new pages. However, I'd like to draw your attention to Wikipedia's policy on biting the newcomers. Tagging a page for deletion moments after creation is considered uncivil and may drive away newcomers whose edits are made in good faith. It's generally a good idea to give a page no less than 10 minutes before tagging unless, of course, it's an attack page or some other sort of vandalism. If I can be of any assistance, you know where to find me. —Non-Dropframe talk 21:32, 3 February 2017 (UTC)
Adem - I think you were a little quick to tag my new article as unreferenced and uncategorized BOTH within 1 minute of when I created it as a new article. Perhaps you should wait a day or 2 to see what happens to a new article. I have a pretty good idea what to do with my background of a few Did You Know articles and a few GAs. I would recommend to wait at least 1 day to see what happens to a new article = probably many of these things will be ironed out AND THEN you can save your a lot of work. Just some ideas for you, as obviously you are new at this.--Doug Coldwell (talk) 13:20, 4 February 2017 (UTC) Excuse me, I'm be very careful after that. --Adem20 (talk) 14:12, 4 February 2017 (UTC)
New Page Review - newsletter No.2
- A HUGE backlog
We now have 809 New Page Reviewers!
Most of us requested the user right at PERM, expressing a wish to be able to do something about the huge backlog, but the chart on the right does not demonstrate any changes to the pre-user-right levels of October.
The backlog is still steadily growing at a rate of 150 a day or 4,650 a month. Only 20 reviews a day by each reviewer over the next few days would bring the backlog down to a managable level and the daily input can then be processed by each reviewer doing only 2 or 3 reviews a day - that's about 5 minutes work!
It didn't work in time to relax for the Xmas/New Year holidays. Let's see if we can achieve our goal before Easter, otherwise by Thanksgiving it will be closer to 70,000.
- Second set of eyes
Remember that we are the only guardians of quality of new articles, we alone have to ensure that pages are being correctly tagged by non-Reviewer patrollers and that new authors are not being bitten.
- Abuse
This is even more important and extra vigilance is required considering Orangemoody, and
- this very recent case of paid advertising by a Reviewer resulting in a community ban.
- this case in January of paid advertising by a Reviewer, also resulting in a community ban.
- This Reviewer is indefinitely blocked for sockpuppetry.
Coordinator election
Kudpung is stepping down after 6 years as unofficial coordinator of New Page Patrolling/Reviewing. There is enough work for two people and two coords are now required. Details are at NPR Coordinators; nominate someone or nominate yourself. Date for the actual suffrage will be published later.

DYK for Beryl Rawson
On 6 February 2017, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Beryl Rawson, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that in the late 1970s Beryl Rawson used computers to analyse the family life of Roman slaves? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Beryl Rawson. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Beryl Rawson), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

February 2017
Hello Adem20. Thanks for patrolling new pages – it's a very important task! I'm just letting you know, however, that there is consensus that we shouldn't tag pages as lacking context (CSD A1) and/or content (CSD A3) moments after they are created, as you did at Jordan Micah Johnathan Jordan. It is also suggested that pages that might meet CSD A7 criteria not be tagged for deletion immediately after they are created. It's usually best to wait at least 10–15 minutes for more content to be added if the page is very short, and the articles should not be marked as patrolled. Tagging such pages in a very short space of time may drive away well-meaning contributors, which is not good for Wikipedia. Attack pages (G10), blatant nonsense (G1), copyright violations (G12) and pure vandalism/blatant hoaxes (G3) should of course still be tagged and deleted immediately. Thanks. —Non-Dropframe talk 15:14, 10 February 2017 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Salih Tanyeri
Hello Adem20,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Salih Tanyeri for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

Your work
Hello, Adem20. I just wanted to remind you that there exist a total of 59 articles and 540 drafts created by you (as of yesterday). Most of those drafts that are unreferenced BLPs are likely to get deleted if they remain stale for too long. It would be really great if you could spend more time in fixing up these articles and drafts. Patrolling of new pages is something that' best left to experienced editors, as inaccurate tagging of CSDs - which newbies do quite unwittingly and in good faith - can cause new contributors to be driven away from the project. For your convenience, I have put up a list of your pages over at user talk:Adem20/drafts - you may remove or check-mark entries to indicate that you fixed them up. You can use the tool reFill to expand bare link citations. And by the way, someone has already mentioned you at the Turkey project talk page. All the best! 103.6.159.84 (talk) 14:55, 18 February 2017 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Hüseyin Avni Botsalı
The article Hüseyin Avni Botsalı has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Ambassadors don't meet WP:POLITICIAN and I can't see how he meets WP:GNG or any other part of WP:NOTABILITY.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}

All the articles you created have now been reviewed. Thank you for taking the time to create so many articles, especially on Turkish peopel, who are under-represented on English Wikipedia. I hope you aren't put off by the proposed deletions and improvement tags - someone prepared to put in as much work as you have is very welcome as an editor. Hi Adem20, and thanks for your updates to the Module:Find sources docs!
