Inconveniente
Fico no aguardo de seu retorno.—Teles «Talk to me˱M @ C S˲» 17:27, 21 February 2021 (UTC)

Why was I blocked?
[edit]Yesterday, March 28, the message below appeared on the article Josef Kieffer which I was editing at the time:
Begin Quote:
You do not have permission to edit this page, for the following reason: Your IP address is in a range that has been blocked on all Wikimedia Foundation wikis.
The block was made by Teles (meta.wikimedia.org). The reason given is Cross-wiki abuse.
Start of block: 05:07, 28 March 2021 Expiry of block: 12:07, 29 March 2021 Your current IP address is 2603:6080:8c02:5c00:68c9:2855:820c:aab and the blocked range is 2603:6080:0:0:0:0:0:0/32. Please include all above details in any queries you make.
End Quote.
I was puzzled by this message and my search through Wikipedia's help pages for enlightenment was mostly fruitless. I wrote an email to stewards@wikimedia.com asking for clarification. The only possible reason I could find for the block was that perhaps I had been accused of plagiarism. I had copied and adapted small amounts of explanatory material which I wrote in a related article about Francis Suttill to this article about Josef Kieffer.
A couple of hours later I was suddenly unblocked, again with no explanation. Whether it was my e-mail or something else that reversed the decision to block me, I don't know.
I've been creating content for eleven years on Wikipedia and have never encountered a situation like this before. I would appreciate an explanation of the reason for your action. I most certainly do not want a block to appear on my Wikipedia record. Smallchief (talk)

Removing my edit
[edit]I've updated the jeffrey sachs page with the phrase "Bolivia is still the poorest country in south america" and you deleted it demanding me to add a source.
Why not the same demand for the opening phrase of that paragraph? It starts with "When Sachs began advising Bolivia, it was the poorest country in South America and had an annual inflation rate of 24,000 percent. " When one reads this paragraph it has the impression that jefrrey sachs helped bolivia, but bolivia is still the poorest country in south america 5.55.122.178 (talk) 15:53, 11 January 2023 (UTC)
- Hi. Thanks for explaining. There is a reference for the beginning of the paragraph already. So, the demand is for every part of it. Looks like you are trying to emphasize that their work on that country wasn't successful enough to improve its economy. That is not a problem if that is true, but without source or context that also sounds negative and may leave the impression that their work was completely worthless. Is that the information you are trying to provide? —Teles «Talk to me˱M @ C S˲» 16:03, 11 January 2023 (UTC)

How is the article subject's (Patricia Yurena Rodríguez) own words on her social media regarding her personal life unreliable? We are not talking about a random individual here, we are talking about the actual subject of the article who stated on her Verified social media pages what I corrected the article to? What you have up is incorrect and opposes what she said herself Bondjamesbindjr (talk) 06:02, 5 February 2023 (UTC)

[edit]Why you are removing Vaibhav Sharma999 (talk) 19:26, 11 January 2023 (UTC)
- @Vaibhav Sharma999, you can't add your name on that page just because you have the same name. That page serves to list existing articles with that name. Those articles were created because those persons meet Wikipedia's notability criteria. —Teles «Talk to me˱M @ C S˲» 19:36, 11 January 2023 (UTC)

[edit]Removing my edit because of sources. The source is the subjects social media. Do I link social media accounts? Bondjamesbindjr (talk) 05:40, 5 February 2023 (UTC)
- @Bondjamesbindjr, you may read "Wikipedia:Reliable sources" to find answers regarding this. Usually, social media sites are considered questionable and should be avoided. A more reliable, professional, peer-reviewed source is preferable.
Also, avoid mentioning on the article body that the content is wrong. If you find any incorrect information, this should be removed. You may start a discussion on article's talk page to identify which parts of the text are wrong. If you have any source to support that allegation, please add to the discussion. —Teles «Talk to me˱M @ C S˲» 05:51, 5 February 2023 (UTC) - https://www.eonline.com/ca/news/572655/miss-spain-patricia-yurena-rodriguez-comes-out-as-gay-shares-photos-of-her-with-girlfriend-see-the-pics

Corrections to Yurena Rodríguez article
[edit]My edit corrections to Patricia Yurena Rodríguez article keep getting reverted and I keep getting warnings about being blocked from correcting false information on the page.
Ckatz and materialscientist keep reverting my corrections and sending me warnings. I mentioned the source was the subject, Yurena Rodríguez, own verified social media page and they are stating that is not a reliable source. How is her own words on her own social media page not a reliable source but the articles listed here, which are not correct sourced articles pertaining to the subject, allowed to stay Bondjamesbindjr (talk) 06:13, 5 February 2023 (UTC)
None of the sources listed on the page are correct. She has recently confirmed that what is listed on her wiki page is incorrect. The current page contains false information on the subject per the subjects own words via her social media. Bondjamesbindjr (talk) 06:34, 5 February 2023 (UTC)
- @Bondjamesbindjr you have been asked to provide a link to that statement many times. I wonder why you haven’t done it. Could you please provide it? —Teles «Talk to me˱M @ C S˲» 13:48, 5 February 2023 (UTC)
You were provided with said source. I said it came from her social media page. I was told I could not list her social media page as a source. Also, source #13 is incorrect. No where in that, or any other source, did she claim she was pansexual. You question my sources, the actual person's word, but keep up a source that doesn't even cite what is claimed in the article here. There is a reason no one finds this website creadible. Bondjamesbindjr (talk) 15:59, 5 February 2023 (UTC)
- It can’t be that hard to provide a link. I don’t know how to be more clear about this simple request. —Teles «Talk to me˱M @ C S˲» 16:58, 5 February 2023 (UTC)

deleted references
[edit]Bom dia. Those were the links to the official websites of the mentioned rail companies. The adresses themselves are unlikely to be amended in the longer prospective, so it is reasonable to include them, so people would have all the relevant information on hand once they need it (with no extra time spent to locate the sources). Wikipedias in other languages do this (as in many cases the updates on wiki-pages appear much later, than the relevant events happen). Adding the official links does not contradict with the aim of Wikipedia to spread knowledge. The assessment 'seems inappropriate' seems to be based rather on the old-school approach to printed encyclopedias, but I believe, that nowadays it, though being truly classy, should not be unconditionally applied to the web resources. So I do disagree with your amendment and consider it to be a mistake. Melhores cumprimentos.OllaBy (talk) 16:31, 6 February 2023 (UTC)
- @OllaBy, hello! Thanks for explaining. Are you planning to use those links as reference or external links? Are they working as a source for any information on article or they will work for extending the research outside of Wikipedia? If they are official links and you believe they fit with inclusion criteria, please feel free to add them, but don’t forget to format them to explain to readers why they were added and what are they linking to. Avoid just adding raw URL. To learn more about inclusion criteria and formatting, read this page. —Teles «Talk to me˱M @ C S˲» 21:54, 10 February 2023 (UTC)
Cross-wiki vandalism
[edit]I believe that the user WorldCitizen2 is using multiple accounts to continue making his edits to the article Jardim Botânico, Federal District ([1]), even though he is blocked. Through the sockpuppet TheDuke1975, he continues to edit the article ([2]), promoting a cross-wiki vandalism also on the Portuguese wikipedia on the same article. The main account and their sockpuppet should be blocked globally. 200.133.1.60 (talk) 00:08, 2 April 2023 (UTC)
