Jungle book

I see no consensus for the redirects of the more important Junglebook characters, and have reverted Raksha & Bandar-Log. It might -- just might -- be possible to do a merge for Raksha. I recognize you did merge Banderlog, but I think that might be the strongest one of all for a separate article. I know they need references, & I'll work on it. I found an AfD discussion on Chil and one on Lahinis that resulted in deletion, but those area very minor character. Baloo, King Louie, and Shere Khan, however, were kept by SNOW [1] k DGG ( talk ) 05:53, 15 November 2010 (UTC)

I'm ok with the revert of Raksha and the Banderlog as long as sources can be found proving notability. I do not why you mention Baloo, Louie and Shere Khan since I never even attempted to suggest a merge, nor have I ever redirected them. They are clearly notable for their own pages. --LoЯd ۞pεth 09:15, 15 November 2010 (UTC)
just mentioned them in case you had doubts that any were keepable. DGG ( talk ) 18:36, 15 November 2010 (UTC)

Template color

what "justification are you looking for? colors can be added as long as it doesn't affect people who are color blind. consider the text is cyan and the groups are Black, i think blind people can see them. Thats the only thing stopping from most from using color templates. other than that, there isn't anything wrong with it. Thanks for uploading File:Hogwarts crest.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. File source problem with File:MrMrsWeasley.jpg

Thank you for uploading File:MrMrsWeasley.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 13:02, 1 December 2010 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. Fantasia: Rite of Spring

I must ask you Lord Opeth, please refrain from reverting that piece of information. I have studied the episode and these appearances of the characters (even the T-Rex) is focused on Fantasia. You cannot possibly think every T-Rex refers to this one, because the T-Rex in Bonkers is the very same one, study its distinctive appearance in "Cartoon Cornered" before making anymore changes. I have noticed you have been doing a bit of work with categories recently. Edits on Deathly Hallows film

Why did you remove the cast? Please please look on the talk page before doing edits like that. We agreed to keep everyone listed in the main cast in the credits or on the promotional poster. These cast members are important, and a lot of formatting went into that. I strongly oppose your edits. Please revert your edits so we have the entire main cast list from before. This is how it is formatted on all of the other Potter pages, this page is no exception. Thanks, Evil Genius77 (talk) 16:50, 30 December 2010 (UTC)

Could you give me please the link to the specific discussion you are refering to? It is just that the cast has been discussed many times in the talk page. I removed it because people keep adding non-main cast members or keep altering the order in which the actors are sorted, which is supposed to be alphabetic (except for Daniel, Rupert and Emma). --LoЯd ۞pεth 21:01, 30 December 2010 (UTC)
Sure, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Harry_Potter_and_the_Deathly_Hallows_(film)#How_is_the_cast_list_organized.3F, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Harry_Potter_and_the_Deathly_Hallows_(film)#Cast_additions, and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Harry_Potter_and_the_Deathly_Hallows_(film#Source_for_Thompson.2C_Oldman.2C_Smith_and_Broadbent. (I am most of the anons listed.) We decided to list everyone who appears before it went to Warwick Davis and Tom Felton in the credits, but to also include Warwick Davis and Julie Walters as they are listed with the rest of the cast on the theatrical poster. For Part 2, we agreed to include all actors that fulfilled these requirements: 1. Did not appear in Part I; 2. Has appeared in the primary cast section on a poster or in the credits of a previous film or 3. Has not yet appeared in a Harry Potter film. Thanks, Evil Genius77 (talk) 22:07, 31 December 2010 (UTC)

There is only one flaw with that consensus we did on the Stitch article. And it is you made the consensus on the talk page of the article that was merged. Even though I merged it, consensus might not be over. That was a pretty early merge and that was my mistake. So with your opinion I think we need to move your consensus to the talk page of the article that it was merged at to to be fair of the ones who might differ. And also good job with the categories. − Jhenderson 777 00:07, 1 January 2011 (UTC)

Template Quesiton

I want to change {{HPref}} so it will include page numbers (I'm sure we could save the chapters, but page numbers are essential to citing books). I am just not sure how to change the template. See this for more information. Thank you! --Glimmer721 talk 16:39, 2 January 2011 (UTC)

Yes María Nicolasa Cruz and La india María are the same character, but the character and the actress María Elena Velasco are two seperate subjects. Esmas.com clearly dictates that the actress has expressed this statement, "María Elena Velasco es una. ‘La India María’ es otra. Eso tiene que quedar claro. Y es ella quién constantemente hace esa aclaración." - (English:"Maria Elena Velasco is one person. La india Maria is another. There is no doubt. The actress herself has made constantly expressed this statement"). Esmas.com - 'La India María', una mujer admirable

Could you please remove the deletion tag, I will add this statement as references in both of the articles. Thank you! User:OsotedeMonte--V. Villalvaso 20:09, 5 January 2011 (UTC)

I have already removed the tag. I didn't know La India María's full name. Thing is that many non-notable characters are often placed under Category:Fictional characters, and I redirect or merge them most of the time, and I have never heard of "María Nicolasa Cruz". It was until I saw the picture and I saw her appearances in Ay María, Qué Puntería that I realized it could be La India. Sorry for the misunderstanding! --LoЯd ۞pεth 20:17, 5 January 2011 (UTC)
Oh, its okay! We all do mistakes sometimes, and yes the name "María Nicolasa Cruz" was first mentioned in her first film. Thank you! User:OsotedeMonte--V. Villalvaso 20:22, 5 January 2011 (UTC)

Categories.

I wanted to let you know if there is a Barnstars on Categories. I would give it to you. Because you seem to do good at that. I just didn't find one yet. And nice signature design too. Also I hope you don't take anything personal with my reply on the Appa and Momo AFD. One of the editors did probably out of misintepreting what I said. I had to explain more fully what I meant because it didn't sound right the second time I saw it. Happy editing. ;) − Jhenderson 777 02:15, 10 January 2011 (UTC)

If you are going to blank an article and redirect it, you should start a discussion on the talk page, or at least give a reason in your edit summary. You did neither. This is a notable character in a notable film and I see no reason for the redirect. ---RepublicanJacobiteThe'FortyFive' 02:52, 10 January 2011 (UTC)

Please do *NOT* re-upload your Disney Princess image with Rapunzel photoshopped on the end. Fanboy and Chum Chum

Hi Lord Opeth, I noticed that you removed the List_of_characters_in_Fanboy_and_Chum_Chum article, presumably to comply with Wiki Notability guidelines. I have no beef with your decision, but in removing the article, you've removed access to a host of solid character descriptions, including descriptions for more prominent characters in Season 2, such as Dollar-nator, Lupe, and others. Is it possible to either restore the article so that I can incorporate that information into Fanboy and Chum Chum or can you please incorporate the totality of the Character list into Fanboy and Chum Chum so I can edit out the characters of lesser importance? Thanks kindly. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 04:32, 14 February 2011 (UTC)

The article Sleeping Beauty's Cottage has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The plans for Sleeping Beauty's Cottage were scrapped when the plans for the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train were introduced. This attraction is included in the List of never built Disney attractions.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Jclavet (talk) 12:50, 19 April 2011 (UTC)

I agree with the deletion of the article. But I think that redirecting it to List of never built Disney attractions would be easier, that way the link itself will not be lost but there will be no individual article for this never-built attraction. Anyway, I will support any deletion, merge or whatever. --LoЯd ۞pεth 02:59, 23 April 2011 (UTC)

Do you have some reliable sources demonstrating that this character is notable? If not, it's going back to a redirect. Thanks. – ukexpat (talk) 13:56, 7 June 2011 (UTC)

I was just fixing redirects. Instead of Franky Fitzgerald (Skins) I used Franky Fitzgerald. But if there is no notability, allow me to redirect it myself :) --LoЯd ۞pεth 00:32, 8 June 2011 (UTC)
I can't find any evidence of notability so IMHO both of those should redirect either to the list of Skins characters article or to the main Skins article. – ukexpat (talk) 00:38, 8 June 2011 (UTC)

Michel Ardan: non-notable character

Hello Lord Opeth. Thank you for having visited and corrected the page Michel Ardan. You redirected the article to the page of the book, however, I don't understand what makes Michel Ardan less notable than another Verne's character (e.g.: Lord Glenarvan ) --Plindenbaum (talk) 11:01, 13 June 2011 (UTC)

Hello, I'm also surprised by this choice. Michel Ardan is one of the main characters of From the Earth to the Moon. Moreover, he is not present only in this book, but as well in Around the Moon and Les Cités obscures. Nabella Leen (talk) 08:54, 15 June 2011 (UTC)
Sources demonstrate notability but at the moment this article has none. – ukexpat (talk) 03:49, 21 June 2011 (UTC)
The point is not trying to convince me that the character is notable. The point is to improve the article by adding those sources to establish notability of the character. --LoЯd ۞pεth 04:05, 21 June 2011 (UTC)
Exactly. My comments were addressed to User:Plindenbaum and User:Nabella Leen as they are claiming notability for the subjects. – ukexpat (talk) 04:09, 21 June 2011 (UTC)

Justify changes to Apocalypse Weekend

You recently reverted changes to the Postal 2: Apocalypse Weekend article, and I would like a more clear explanation why. There are many clear examples of expansion packs being provided with their own articles, such as Doom 3: Resurrection of Evil, which is why I split off the AW article from its previous section. It adds extensive amounts of new content, and clutters up the original Postal 2 article. I would like a clearer explanation why you reverted my change. Hamish Paul Wilson (talk) 05:26, 21 June 2011 (UTC)

If you see the most recent version of the Postal 2 article, you'll see that no content was lost from the split AW article. The thing is that Apocalypse Weekend has no separated Wikipedia:Notability from the original game. The article was almost a stub and all the info perfectly fits into the Postal 2 article. --LoЯd ۞pεth 06:09, 21 June 2011 (UTC)

Pottermore

Hi, I would like to discuss the removal of Pottermore from the Harry Potter template. Just a friendly discussion about it. I agree that websites shouldn't be put on the template, but most of the wiki pages on websites for Harry Potter are fan-based websites. Pottermore is created by J.K. Rowling herself as additional canon to the Harry Potter books. I would think that it deserved a spot in the template because it is an additional thing that is part of the Harry Potter franchise and it is an official "document" as I may call it. Thoughts? --DisneyFriends (talk) 02:39, 26 June 2011 (UTC)

Well, if it is an official Rowling website I see no problem for re-adding it. --LoЯd ۞pεth 00:05, 27 June 2011 (UTC)

Launch section on Dragon Ball character list

Hi, I saw that you were a supporter of Launch getting her own section on the List of Dragon Ball characters from the consensus from a few years ago discussing which Dragon Ball characters should be kept. Since Launch failed to get one back then I have started a new consensus to try to get her section back on the list. I was wondering if you can help by going to Talk:List_of_Dragon_Ball_characters#Launch and put down your vote. Thanks and I would appreciate it. - SuperTiencha (talk) 16:14, 9 July 2011 (UTC)

Figure about Horcruxes

Why did you delete the figure about Horcruxes in Magical objects in Harry Potter#Horcruxes ?

Several arguments :

- According to me this Figure is much more clear than texts. When people want to know information, they can get it more easily with this kind of figure

- You said "Everything is already covered in each Horcrux's section". OK but the figure was incomplete (that's why I also put the "Incomplete Figure" information) so that more informations were expected.

Sperner (talk) 17:38, 12 July 2011 (UTC)

I removed it because it added no more content than the one already covered. And if we have a figure on Horcruxes, why don't we add another one on Deathly Hallows? What about on Transportation objects? Or the entire Wikipedia, we can remove all text and have just figures so that the reader can get information more easily? The Magical Objects article is already large and overdetailed, so adding a figure with more in-universe detail is no use. --LoЯd ۞pεth 17:44, 12 July 2011 (UTC)

Miranda Richardson

Miranda Richardson may not be listed on the poster, but she is very definitely listed between Gary Oldman and Alan Rickman in the title cards of the final credits where the names emerge from the fire. That's the sequence before the actual credits, listed in alphabetical order, and even before the 'Pedja Bjelac, David Bradley', etc, shared title cards. Bill Nighy and Rhys Ifans are similarly listed in Deathly Hallows, without being on the poster, and they get a mention on the Deathly Hallows Wikipedia page, so I don't see why it's such a problem for Richardson to be mentioned in the Goblet of Fire article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.152.9.159 (talk) 15:44, 13 July 2011 (UTC)

It's not very fair to slap a speedy deletion tag on a category that is only controversially empty. Please open a CfD discussion instead of tagging Category:Disney's Tangled for speedy deletion. Powers T 02:11, 26 October 2011 (UTC)

Hi. In your recent article edits, you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Harry Potter book section headings

Hey, good job on straightening out all those articles. Do you think the book titles in section headings should be italicized? That's what I get from reading the MOS. Elizium23 (talk) 22:41, 1 May 2012 (UTC)

Thanks! I think we can go ahead and italicize them. Cortana is featured article and the video game titles in section heading are italicized. --LoЯd ۞pεth 22:58, 1 May 2012 (UTC)

Replaceable fair use File:Hogwartsmap.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Hogwartsmap.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 13:48, 15 May 2012 (UTC)

Question on Harry Potter Cast List

In regards to the removal of Luna Lovegood from Order of the Phoenix and Cedric Diggory from Goblet of Fire, am I missing something here? Is there a reason why those characters are not in the cast list. I understand not adding obscure minor characters, but these characters are not minor characters in these films, especially since their characters even appear on the movie posters. Is there s particular discussion on this, or is this your personal feeling on the matter?--JOJ Hutton 13:12, 5 July 2012 (UTC)

It was agreed some time ago that only those actors/characters who are credited as "Starring" would be added to the list. Those actors like Bonnie Wright, Robert Pattison, Evanna Lynch, Mark Williams, Helen McCrory, David Bradley, etc. who portray major characters but are not credited as "Starring" in posters and/or film credits are not added to avoid having long lists (because if someone adds Cedric, then someone else will come to ask about Fleur and Krum, and then Cho Chang, and then Parvati and Padma, and then we have 50 cast members on the list). --LoЯd ۞pεth 05:51, 6 July 2012 (UTC)
And where is this agreement located?--JOJ Hutton 13:00, 6 July 2012 (UTC)
    • Don't think I'm just ignoring you in bad faith or something. The thing is that I haven't been too active lately. I looked for the consensus, I was pretty sure it was somewhere in the Goblet of Fire film's talk page, but I haven't been lucky to find the exact place of the discussion. If you want to add Bonnie Wright, Evana Lynch, Robert Pattison, or the minor witch that appeared in Diagon Alley for two seconds, feel free to do so, until that consensus appears again. --LoЯd ۞pεth 21:50, 21 August 2012 (UTC)
      • Don't feel the need to add any minor characters, but characters who actually have a plot role in the film should be added. I'm not sure why the three characters who have a central role in the plot and even appear on the movie poster, were not included in the cast list, while Peter Petegrew, Sirius Black, and Madame Maxime are considered "featured" characters, but barely appear in the film.--JOJ Hutton 22:02, 21 August 2012 (UTC)
        • As I've previously explained, the cast members were added because of their "Starring" billing. Apart from the trio, no other young cast member has got Starring status (Cedric, Fleur, Draco, Ginny, Luna, Neville, Cho; though Tom Felton has been added in the last three films' articles because of his nominations to awards). I remember a time before the mentioned (but missing) consensus in which even Seamus, Dean, Lavender, Pansy Parkinson, Goyle, etc. were added. To avoid having really long lists, it was agreed to keep only the trio and the "starring" cast members (those mentioned in the posters and in film credits). --LoЯd ۞pεth 22:20, 21 August 2012 (UTC)
          • Seems a bit unnecessary to require that an actors name be on the movie poster in order to be added to the cast list. There are sometimes outside factors that have little to do with the film, that can influence which names go on or off of a movie poster. The article is about the film and shouldn't be influenced by movie poster decisions, but by common sense.--JOJ Hutton 22:56, 21 August 2012 (UTC)
