Non-free rationale for File:PeoplemoverPoster.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:PeoplemoverPoster.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Orphaned non-free media (File:PeopleMover Poster (Resized).jpg)

Thanks for uploading File:PeopleMover Poster (Resized).jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 09:35, 4 June 2013 (UTC)

Are you familiar with WP:Non-free content criteria and other image-related policies and guidelines? Never mind that. Under policy, our (Wikipedia's) copies of non-free files should be low quality in order to avoid infringing original use of copyrighted works. This is an example; fortunately, I reverted the image back to smaller version. In other words, the bigger version was competing with image's original commercial role. Probably I confused you, huh? --George Ho (talk) 06:23, 17 November 2013 (UTC)

Hi LogoSubcheck. Say, since it's been challenged, you need to stop adding in your preferred image into this article until you get general agreement to do so.

See WP:BRD, which is an implementation of WP:CONSENSUS. The basic routine is like this: Somebody makes a change to an article. Sometimes that sticks, and so Bob's your uncle. But sometimes somebody doesn't like it, so they undo it. When that happens, it's time to talk. It's up to you to open a thread and try to convince me and others and get consensus for your change. I went ahead and did that myself. So now you need to participate, if you want your change to have a chance to go through. Edit summaries are not sufficient. If you don't do this, you are engaging in "edit warring" which is frowned on. Herostratus (talk) 00:19, 3 March 2014 (UTC)

Non-free image sizes

Please note that Wikipedia's non-free content policy requires that non-free images must be low-resolution. Typically this means a width of 300px or less. Please do not upload images larger than this or replace properly sized images with high resolution images. --AussieLegend () 08:57, 1 August 2014 (UTC)
